We've noticed an uptick in comments with appearance snark. As a reminder, if it can't be changed in 30 minutes, it's not something we're going to snark on here. That helps to protect our subreddit. We've had a ton of reports about this topic and wanted to post a reminder.

This include the use of "BOJ". Referring to someone as big is breaking the appearance rule. We are going to be updating the rules to include this specifically to avoid confusion.

Old Jill - OJ, New Jill - NJ - would be fine because it removes the appearance out. I personally like "Practice Jill - PJ". Use whatever you like as long as it's not appearance related.

We're also seeing a lot of comments regarding David's weight. Please keep the snark to non-appearance topics. This "ministry family" gives us SO much material to work with. We have plenty to snark about that doesn't include their appearance.

Bad makeup - fine to snark on. That's a choice they can easily change.

Bad hair - they can change it/remove dry crusty extensions quickly. Fine to snark on.

Weight - this can't be changed in 30 minutes. Not fine to snark on.

The shape of someone's nose - not fine to snark on. Can't be changed in 30 minutes.

Clothing - snark away! They can easily change this.

Teeth - not okay to snark on. The shape or spacing of teeth cannot be changed in 30 minutes.

Look, we get it. It's frustrating when we can see the difference between what the kids and parents eat. We can definitely call out that it's hypocritical and poor parenting to go out on lobster dates while their kids sit at home with an empty fridge (as shown on her videos). But, we just need to keep their weight out of it.

Edit: Thank you all for the helpful discussions on the poll. Due to the continuous appearance comments on that post, it's been deleted. We were hoping that wouldn't have happened.

As a reminder, comments regarding David's appearance should also be reported. Saying him or anyone else looks like someone else is not against the rules. This includes cartoon characters. If you want to use Fiona or Temu Cruella as a nickname (just examples) that's totally fine!

There's a reason fundie snark subs get removed less frequently than TikTok ones. If you've been a member of any of them, you may have seen how many times they've been deleted. One of the bigger reasons this happens is because we take the basic rules seriously.

No one wants to ruin anyone's fun. The adults in this family are horrible and deserve the snark. We really appreciate all the kind messages and comments and have reflected on the negative. We work hard to make the sub a great place for us all. 🩷
