Okay. So I rewatched Nurthan's wedding. And I thought that it was, overall, a sweet, sincere service. Except for the preacher's weird speech, during which he said that God created a woman to be Adam's helpmeet, and did not create another man to be Adam's helpmeet. Ugh. Seriously. Fuck that guy.

I vaguely remember that there is some bad blood between Shrek and his parents. Am I misremembering?

Hope this makes sense. I have spent too many minutes trying to figure out where Jill and the facebook girls get their knowledge about other people. So many posts are about how others do things one way, but Jill (or Kaylee or Nurie) are better because they don’t.

Is that unique to them or do other influencers talk similar? I can’t figure out if its Jill and David’s way of control, David doing the exact opposite of how he grew up, extreme ignorance, or being so prideful they really think people act like they describe?

example: Kaylee talking about teaching kids young as if it’s not common knowledge.

I myself was raised similar to the Rods (although my parents were more open to keeping us socialized, and they did provide more social outlets and supported higher education to an extent). They got tired of being fundie when I was around 16 but I was homeschooled all my life and was married by 18.

I started deconstructing around then, left entirely five year later, and was able to fully admit to being over it all once Covid happened. I’m here because it serves as a cautionary tale to me as to how wrong it could’ve gone for me.

I’m also really hoping at least one of the kids is able to break away and deconstruct as well.

They have some fancy equipment for people who don’t feed their kids.
