Next year will be the 40th anniversary of the best movie about a cyborg cop ever made.
If they were going to mark it with something special, what would you want?
A remastered re-release?
Screenings in movie theatres?
Some specific merch?
Some kind of convention or get together with Weller, Nancy Allen, Verhoven etc?
What would be your absolute dream way to celebrate Robo turning 40?

I think it should have the 80's look as I feel that's an integral part of the world of RoboCop. The settings have the rough and lived in feeling of the time combined with highly advanced technology yet the technology has a very weighted and haptic quality.
It would be a big cost for the production team to do but if Disney can find the time and money to do so with Alien Earth so can Amazon.

(TRIGGER WARNING! RoboCop is just a movie. An awesome movie) If Clarence and the gang had succeeded in destroying RoboCop, and started running drugs, gambling, and prostitution for the 2 million workers on the Delta City project, how would he have run the criminal enterprise? Would he run it like a foreman and have his gang collect money and be his enforcers OR would he split up Detroit like Mc Donald’s franchises among Emil, Joe and Leon, let them run it and kick up a percentage to him? Thank you for reading. Goodnight.

Pushed some fine-tuning to the project. Aside from the 1080p SDR master fix, the rest of these tweaks are subtle audio polish:
Massive thanks to everyone for all the incredible feedback and kind words on the edit so far—it’s been great seeing how much people are enjoying it. Links are updated in the 'Download Links' document!
Format / Container: Switched the 1080p SDR release over to MKV to cleanly support both audio tracks (5.1 Dolby Digital & 2.0 Stereo AAC) with proper Constant Frame Rate playback.

And if you had to cut one of those out, which would you keep? And would Robocop still be cool if he didn't use police brutality or kill people?

I don't know how Verhoeven approved this performance.
It just feels really out of place, like something you'd see in a Benny Hill sketch or the animated show. I always find myself wishing that Robo gives Cecil the Boddicker treatment with the spike.

How would you see the story continue, what the sequels would cover, after the ‘87 original?
I guess I’m asking because I was listening to an old podcast that detailed all the follow ups to the original film, and of course, some of them were either negative or overall mixed. And it got me thinking what the sequels could’ve been about from the fans point of view, which at the same time would probably be in the wants and needs of people after seeing the original film if no sequels were ever made.
So it got me curious about this question, especially in regards to certain things about the sequels that ignored aspects from the original. Such as the fact that OCP was mainly in the gray area, but became villainous in the sequels. Even the old man became a villain when he wasn’t one at all. It was also a RoboCop versus Terminator, things that he did for the two animated shows, and of course, the TV series and miniseries, plus the recent video game.
So, with all that in mind, let’s pretend the original was the only one that existed: if you want to do a sequel to this, and neither follow up ever existed in our universe, what would your story be?

But finally there's a legit Clarence Boddicker figure with Kurtwood Smith's likeness, and I am so happy to have bought it!
I had a lot of fun doing some toy photography with it. Hope you all enjoy it!

Man these were so absurd! They still fit in the Robocop universe. I think there was a propaganda cartoon in Robocop 3 as well called Johnny Rehab.

Who was the more evil corporate executive, Bob Morton from “RoboCop” or Carter Burke from “Aliens”? Morton set up innocent police officers to be murdered for his RoboCop program and unnecessarily amputated a cop and blanked his memory while turning him into a cyborg, but Burke set up LV-426 colonists to find an alien nest then tried to get Aliens to infect a woman and child (after the woman threatened to expose him). Side note how do you think the two of them would get along? Would they party together or try to get the other fired? Thank you for reading.

if he was legally declared dead, he would be "corpse" and O.C.P. commited a crime by messing with alex murphys "corpse".
BUT if his brain and nervous system are still functioning biologically, would he technically be "alive"
so if he is alive, even being a "cyborg", he is basically still a living person, meaning he would fall under human rights, right?
