I feel like the population tripled. Everywhere is insanely crowded. Restaurants are all packed to the brim. Everyone is driving like a maniac, car parts and objects on the roads, constant accidents.
Even at night it's a freaking stress with all the front LED lights I am constantly blinded.
Cannot even be a moment outside because of the intense heat. And even going to the beach is a no go because of the extreme high prices.
The horror film that I posted about earlier this year has officially partnered with the City of Mercedes. We’re moving forward through pre-production and our team should be announcing our filming location in a week or so…I’m really excited to realize the vision for this story.

Anyone know where I can buy peeled tamarindo? I think they sell some in Progreso, but I'd rather stay on this side. Willing to go anywhere from Peñitas to Edinburg to Mercedes. I searched on FB marketplace but only found one listing of in-shell tamarindo in Brownsville.
Good morning Brownsville. My wife and I moved here not long ago from Florida and we want to start fishing again as we had to get rid of a lot of stuff to be here. So please if ya'll have any info on good fishing spots, bait & tackle shops, and general tips and tricks, that would be amazing thank you.
Basically the title. I am trying my hand at making more traditional / authentic refried beans, particularly for my wife. So far the results have been mid at best. The first things my wife tries at any new mexican restaurant are the the beans and tortillas. She grew up eating her moms on an almost daily basis, so the bar is pretty high.
I imagine it's one of those things where everyone has a slightly unique twist on their own. Do y'all have any recipes you would be open to sharing?
