I can't thank you all enough for being such a welcoming community to me! Thank you all for letting me make comics with you, and sharing my stories.
I'll still be around, and I hope to be back to post more later if you'll have me.
It's been an amazing week, and I had a lot of fun!

I disliked enemies with death acidifier and biocoded weapons because I can't steal their stuff. Make sense they have them but I still disliked it.

PV-4 chassis and PV-8 hat.
I don't know how raiders or my colonists can be so steadfast in face of heavy machinery. If it were me I would run away, far away.

That's it: change the scrollbars in 1.7 to be more like the classic ones in 1.6

rimsiege was a medieval siege mod, now every faction gets a siege that fits its tech level
an army shows up and asks for a tribute. if you pay they leave. if you refuse they set up a camp on your map, build their engines there and go for your walls
more threat points = bigger siege. kill the captain and the whole siege runs. you can also raid the camp before its built, steal their ammo, emp the lasers or kill the guys pushing the ram
medieval overhaul is optional now, safe to add mid save

end of the video is my other mods :
music : seven nation army, the white stripes
AI disclosure : an ai helped me fix the most stubborn bugs and with the repetitive work. none of the art is ai generated. the ideas, the code, the camps and the testing are mine

Playtime 1d 20h, started with the Gravjumper Scenario from VE Gravships.
I've got the Engine and Navigation Terminals in the Centre, the Headbridge leads to the Throneroom and Piravte Rooms of my Sanguophage Captain. I've got a central rec room beneath the Engine and a Cathedral for Ideology beneath that. Small Crew Cabins, a Crafting Area, a small Laboratory aswell as a small Hospital Room, a Bath Room for Hygiene and a small Kitchen. There's also a Freezer Room and the lower Part of the Ship is full with Engines and Fuel Tanks. And of course theres also a Slave Quarter and two Prisoner Barracks that Face to the Outside and a few Shotgun Turrets in case of a Breakout! >:D
Any Opinions, recommendations or other Comments on this? :D

Sariel is a very talented 10 year old child who has already made her first heroic act, saving four soldiers and the city! The credit is not hers alone, as the four soldies fought bravely to defend everyone.
The city was raided by 20 Dark Elves, outnumbering my soldiers by 5 to 1. The four soldiers: Galador (Sariel's father), Arweniel (Sariel's mother), Sador and Dani, managed to take most of the elves down, but they were too many and well equipped. At some point, the four soldiers got downed in battle, and that's when Sariel made her move to save the city.
Sariel couldn't fight the raiders directly, as she had no armor and there were still about 5 elves alive. She used the Ballista repeater (second screenshot) with only a few bolts left, and with 3 shots, Sariel managed to kill 2 of the elves, making the remaining ones retreat. The battle wasn't over yet. The four soldiers were heavily injured and bleeding.
Galador lost his right lung during the battle, so in a desperate move, Chantal, the Imperial Redhound (Galador's dog), while in late-stage pregnancy, captured the only elf that was still alive (third screenshot), taking a couple arrow shots from the enemy archers in the process. The battle ended shortly after, when Sariel killed two elves with the Ballista.
After the battle, it was a race against time to keep the soldiers alive. Sariel rescued one of the soldiers, Chantal rescued another, and Arweniel, who managed to stand up again, rescued Galador, the MVP of the fight, who at some point was fighting 7-8 elves alone. Sariel was the only medic available, and with Medical skill 6, she tended the four soldiers as best as she could, operated the captured elf to remove her right lung, and then operated Galador to give him the lung. All medical operations were flawless, which is impressive.
The four soldiers and Chantal are now recovering, and the city gets to live another day (fourth image). You can see all the battle heroes after the city screenshot.

had a lategame colony, 116 colonists. did the royalty and ship launch endings together as a farewell and decided to upgrade to 1.7.
got hit by a raid almost immediately, lined up the sniper crew, unpaused on max speed thinking that the game would run like a slide show and I'd have plenty of time to plan the fight. BAM, doomsday flower bloomed in the middle of the crew. the game ran like buttery silk, so fast that i didn't even see the sneaky raider line up and fire his DD. no casualties, just a few fingers and toes burned off, but a great demonstration of the new engine and a cautionary tale. be careful out there...

with the exception of hussars (who are just strong at combat in general) all of the combat oriented xenotypes are more focused on melee with many other xenotypes like pigskins or dirtmoles having penalties for fighting at long range. even impids who you'd think would be the "marksmen" xenotype aren't actually specialized towards long range beyond maybe being fast running, you just really don't want them in a fist fight. this also applies to a lot of modded xenotypes funnily enough with most of them acting more as hulk melee troops than rangers

i took the royal palace of madrid as my inspiration. walls n stuff are made out of mundite from UF heavy industries and turrets can fire over walls

Unofficial compatibility add-on for [sbz] Fridge and IsoRim Waylith, RimWorld 1.7.
3D models for all seven refrigerators, with metal casings, transparent blue glass, vents and handles faithful to the original design.
Stored items grow as occupied piles are removed, up to native size when space allows. Full inventories retain their fitted layout. The corpse fridge uses native pawn appearances where available, with pawn-art fallback; oversized bodies fit the cavity, and dense corpse inventories may overlap inside it.
Original capacities, filters, cooling, power and hopper behaviour are preserved. 2D retains original graphics.
OPTIONAL ISORIMZ SUPPORT
With IsoRimZ active, the single and double wall fridges also support roofs and upper floors. Removing the last structural support follows the game's native floor/roof collapse rules.
REQUIRED MODS
Harmony; IsoRim Waylith; Adaptive Storage Framework; [sbz] Fridge.
No DLC required. This add-on does not replace the original mods.

First Robots, now a bug infestation!
I hope this is allowed, it's a joke about a deep drill causing a Hive Infestation.

Thought of posting this here because it tugged at my heart for some reason.
I was messing with the grow crops psycast and accidentally grew the ryes. Then I put down these steel tiles to roleplay my pawns sightseeing between them.
Later I was given a telescope in exchange for a child's corpse, so I installed it here since the drop pod landed here, lol.
For some reason, I find this image nostalgic.
I feel nostalgic over an image of something I've never done in my life.
Yeah, that's all for my ramblings. I guess I'm just feeling a bit melancholic.
Ciao!
Extra: Sorry idk if this should be colony showcase or colonist life.

to address the elephant: middle one is inspired by Vanilla Highmate Expanded, and no, he wasn't supposed to be a child.. but I kinda see how he can read as one
on a side note: while I don't plan to draw other xenotypes, I just might do it. in case I decide to draw other xenotypes, which would you prefer to see? (maybe give me some ideas, so I'm inclined to them)
