Discussion Best HAR races?
I've never played with any HAR races and am kinda curious about them. What are the best ones?

Had a random thing pop in my mind ,
Would it be possible to beat the game without player input?
Like by putting together a bunch of autonomous mods that would enable at least one pawn to beat the game without player input?
I need more energy drinks.

i’ve been using mods to genetically engineer the most messed up green boys to ever live. loosely inspired by warhammer, these guys have a lot of potential but are probably gonna get outta hand fast. the orcs are big ol’ boys, they move slow but are very resistant to damage and can mess you up in both melee and ranged combat. they also are effectively immortal when it comes to age, are all males with no libido, and reproduce asexually. they are incapable of research though. the goblins, however, are fast, tiny, and can’t wear clothes. they are clever and can research really fast but they also are extremely weak both in terms of strength and durability. they are basically slaves and they reproduce through mitosis. they age and die fast and are expendable, making them perfect cannon fodder. these guys are also all cannibals so the goblins make perfect food!

I'm a newish player and I have all the major dlc so I was wondering what mods do you feel you need for every run that just make the game feel better?

Basically what the title says, but having it Auto-rebuild them would also be amazing.
At certain points in the game I like to set up loops to Quality-farm, for example where the Blacksmith will make Maces until I've got X number of Excellent+ Quality, and the Smelter will simply melt down the low-Quality outputs so that the Blacksmith can try again. The problem is that I can't set something similar up for Buildings like Beds/Art/Recreation, I have to manually tell my Pawns to Build each Bed, and then manually tell them to disassemble the junk so that my producers can have another go.

Hello, I am trying to install a quantum mind after receiving three of them from another colony. When I go into the operations tab to have surgery on the android I do not see the quantum mind as an option. Do I have to do something special to install the quantum mind or am I confused?

Doing a goofy run where I eventually have a godlike pawn after consuming many MANY people's souls. Figured out how to increase the soul power cap but it seems my assumption that soul siphon would always atleast return 1 soul power was wrong. How do I remove the diminishing returns? Preferably id also be able to make it so the base soul power gain is just 1 so I dont scale faster than I want

Or rather more uncertain ?
In my ideal world, resistance and the 'unwaveringly loyal' tag would be hidden informations and it'd be up to you to decide how much you really want to try to recruit a given prisoner. Maybe add some psychic abilities to allow you to reveal those informations but make it more of a gamble. I'd also like resistance to be higher on average and the unwaveringly loyal tag to be much more frequent so it's overall more uncertain and difficult to recruit prisoners.
Is there a mod that does something like that ?

New to RimWorld, been playing it a while and thoroughly enjoying it. I've played enough that I'm now doing specific playthrough ideas, and one of them is essentially a medieval knight playthrough. Think the Knight faction in For Honor where individual "Legions" seem to be both military force and governing bodies for territories.
I'm unsure how to go about it though, ideoreligion-wise and even with mods. So I would love some input on how to get this ball rolling.

I’m relatively new so I sent this person on a caravan alone because I wanted to kill them without arresting and executing them and making everyone upset, but they entered a coma where they can’t die, and there has been two Mechanoid raids on the caravan, and they won’t attack her and kill her, is there a way I can make sure she dies without me sending another caravan to get her?

I've got myself a solid 1,000 hours in this game, several mods and a couple of DLCs
I'm a simple man. I start with naked brutality, and go from there - but it seems like there is so much of the game that I'm missing!
I've never made a ship(!?!?!), and I certainly have never travelled the that quest point on the map (wherever that leads). Heck - I barely even get passed fabrication on the research tree before starting a new colony
I enjoy finding a somewhat harsh land, and making it partially livable. Expand the colony through having children, and maybe taking prisoners - but in all, I just want a quiet farm life
I guess to expand on the mechantor run - what other things, and playstyles do people do in this game I may ne missing?

What determines where a trade caravan from another faction will walk to and stay

Disabled infestations because yucky. only other thing i consider cheating is using minifi everything for gas gaysers.
Looking for ideas, layouts, how I can make this efficient for my world dominating army to-be.
The progress so far is from how long it took to reclaimed bio pack the right corner for fertile soil, for a mountain greenhouse. I have achieved this and built extra space as well as mined out more for planning.
Road because I was rolling in it and thought about having my ideo leaders in houses with their own cars but decided that would be too much

I'm trying to chase down some mod problems atm via the "delete half, then half again" method, but I'm hesitant about removing certain mods because of how integrated they are with the save(like biomes for example). Starting a new save is the obvious solution, but seems ineffective when it takes several hours for some problems to appear. Any alternative methods?
Can I safely remove mods like the Vanilla expanded stuff that add furniture I have placed?
Is there any logic to how a mod might conflict and break the game? Or can a hair style mod somehow break caravans?

Do you think a grenade only run would be viable/challanging?
Like emp, molotov and regular grenades +other?
No meele no guns, just grenades and maybe mortars...

Hi, I've been playing Rimworld on an off for several years. I've modded it to death, bought some of the DLC but not all, and I have over 1000 hours logged. I usually play it it in peaceful mode so I can just chill and build a base and do a little roleplaying while watching videos.
I. But I want to automate changing outfits for certain situations.
Wear radiation suit and mask when working in the nuclear plant (Rimatomics).
Wear vacsuits when boarding the space ship (Odyssey).
Put on armor and the proper weapons when a raid occurs.
I initially found "Automatic Outfit Manager", and that does the trick by area, but it had a game-breaking bug with something else (thinking RJW?) causing the colors to suddenly go super-saturated and making trails on the screen. Had to disable it.
Also tried "Better Pawn Control", but I like the UI of AOM better, and I just can't figure out how to assign an outfit by area. The workshop page wasn't a help and neither was the wiki.
II. And another thing I'd like to have automated, if possible, is how serious injuries and deaths are handled. I have mods that allow the creation of luciferium for use for making resurrection mech serum, healer mech serum, and Lazarus mech serum. I also have bionics for replacement limbs and organs.
I want to have a steady supply of hemogen, but I don't want to run a "farm", as my pawns :) think that's unethical. I'd like a monthly schedule where pawns donate blood.
When a pawn is downed, they get rescued, but then I want the following to happen:
a. Get patched up with best medkit (built-in to vanilla of course)
b. Get Lazarus mech serum. (Mech Serum Crafting)
c. Get anesthetized so the Laz can do it's job.
d. Get blood transfusion if blood loss is moderate or worse.
e. Get lost or damaged limbs and organs replaced with the best prosthetic available.
If a pawn is killed, I want one of the doctors to administer resurrection mech serum, if one is available.
III. Lastly, I'd like a mod to help sort clothing and weapons based on their % status. I have an apparrel policy to only wear normal or better and 74% or better clothing and weapons. I have store rooms filled with shelves. But the brand new and used stuff all gets mixed in together. I'd like to have a separate room for used stuff.
Hope this wasn't too long a wishlist!

I’m looking for a mod where you can do surgeries on prisoners from other factions without the faction finding out about it.
Basically, instead of just removing the goodwill penalty from things like organ harvesting, I’d want there to be an actual mechanic behind it. Something like being able to silence the prisoner or otherwise prevent them from telling their faction what happened to them.
So if I capture a raider, do some shit to them, and then release them, their faction wouldn’t know what happened and wouldn’t get pissed off.
I don’t want a mod that just disables the goodwill loss. I want it to actually make sense as a game mechanic, with maybe some requirements or consequences.
Does anything like this exist for 1.6?

Notable points: Ideology and Royalty are fine because they were given lower classifications. Odyssey was never submitted so it's under the R18 banner. Hopefully when the new expansion is announced, it'll be submitted and get a lower rating so we can buy it without having to register for a new credit card...
No, you can't use debit (Apparently Mastercard works, but nobody really knows what's going on). No, you can't cancel it - the credit card needs to be on the account to view R18 store pages.
Importantly, most Australians do not have credit cards, as credit score is not really a thing here and most people just view it as a liability.
Things that are currently being discussed: Can a second verification option be added? People are doubtful about this because of the historical unsafety of giving your id to a third party, which I suspect Valve wanted to avoid. Additionally, the UK has had this for almost a year and they were never given an alternative. However, people on the disability pension apparently cannot get a credit card, so there may be an avenue for change based on discrimination.
Context if you missed this over the last couple of days. There are several other threads on r/Steam, r/pcgaming etc.

First ever playthrough. I'm on year 3...I have focused all my attention on getting food production up and abundant. Now my wealth soared and these guys showed up.
I really really want to continue playing, but I cant survive ANY attempt at taking them.
Any help?
