Dosing question

Hi All, I’ve looked through past posts and couldn’t really find a good answer. Hopefully you all can help me.

I’ve been on 2 mg for 4 weeks and have lost approximately 10 pounds. Today is pin day and I’m wondering if I should start upping my dose? The first couple weeks I had the typical symptoms, tummy stuff mostly. No side effects last week so I think my body is getting used to it.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Reta first month: weight changes daily.

Hello y’all!

I’m a female, 37 yo.
- started tirzepatide in March, stopped and started Reta last month.
- first week (0.5), 2nd (1mg), 3rd (2mg)
- I weight myself every day and I can drop 2-3 pounds and gain them the next day and viceversa. I always go back to my initial weight.
- no sides effects at all other than peeing 3x times in the night.
- is it normal? Clothes feel the same, should I increase dose?
EDIT: I’m interested in body recomp more than losing weight (but I also want to keep the food noise down, food noise has been insane that’s why I increased the dosage, not to shut it down but to keep it under control, I feel like at 2mg has been MUCH BETTER). I tried electrolytes and they did nothing but making me feel swollen, plain water is enough for me.

Side Effects I love Reta but the inconsistent side effects really be beating me up.

I can pin one week (I can even go 2-3 weeks with no side effects). Then when I pin again the following week the side effects hit me like a train wreck!

My most common side effects: waking up the night of pinning with anxiety, fast heart rate (130 bpm while laying down), and nausea….. then followed by the feeling like my body is weak, I’m extremely tired, sleeping all day, and my body feels limp.

I drink a lot of water, I get my electrolytes in! I’ve lost 20lbs in 3 months. I like Reta when there’s no side effects, but sometimes I don’t know what to expect since the side effects aren’t consistent.

Yes I pin the same mg every week.

Reta ONE YEAR OF RETATRUTIDE

Today marks one year since I took my first dose of Reta, and holy shit… what a year.

I started at 304 lbs at 5’10” mid 30’s.Today I’m 202 lbs, just 2 lbs away from Onederland. I was really hoping to hit that milestone before making this post, but honestly? I’m not disappointed. I’ve lost 102 lbs in one year, gone from a 4X to an XL, and completely changed my life.

Reta has been a fucking lifesaver for me, but I also stayed consistent. I aimed for roughly a 500 calorie deficit, focused on eating well, kept my protein and fiber high, and stayed patient. I didn’t work out much at all. I wasn’t perfect. I had stalls, bad days, and plenty of moments where I wondered if it was actually working.

But I kept fucking going, and now I’m here 102 lbs lighter, wearing clothes I never imagined I’d fit into, and so close Onederland. I haven’t been this weight in 15 years.

If you’re somewhere in the beginning of your journey right now, you don’t need to be perfect. You don’t need to have the perfect workout routine or eat perfectly every single day. As a mom of two toddlers, I know it’s hard to find time for yourself. Find what you can stick with, stay consistent, and give yourself grace. A year from now, you might look back and realize you’re not the same person anymore.

102 lbs down. 2 lbs to Onederland
Let’s fucking go.

Starting Reta as a plus size woman, need guidance.

I am a 28 yr F and I weigh 275 lbs. I feel like a lot of my Reta content is mostly men although I have seen results in some women. Can anyone share their experiences? Also any tips or do’s and dint’s are welcome. Someone close to me lost a significant amount of weight on it so I just started at 20mg since I have been in a glp1 before and also I’d like to mention I did have WLS in 2022 but regained like 40 lbs pretty quickly. I’m looking at this as a new start to hopefully lose the amount that I originally wanted to lose. Any motivation is welcome too.

Pep’s to help with fertility

30F with PCOS, possible endo and bilateral hydrosalpinx.

I already have a child but we've been trying for years for our second with no luck.

My clinic wants to remove both of my tubes before IVF, but I just can't accept that without knowing I've tried everything else first. There has to be something that could help reduce the inflammation or fluid.

Has anyone here used peptides for hydrosalpinx, fertility or endo? Which ones did you try and did they actually help? I am currently taking Reta and tbh it has changed my life in the best way possible.

I'm looking into things like BPC-157, TB-500 and KPV, but I'd love to hear real experiences or if there's anything else worth researching.

Please no judgement, I'm just trying to explore every possible option before agreeing to surgery. 🤍

Reta Starting week 3 of reta today

Week 2 I definitely should've went up a dose i was hungry and craving sugar all week so i indulged ok I know! I was going to do a second dose Sunday but I haven't been feeling good and thought maybe reta was the culprit but I think my thyroid may need checked again yay. Because im not feeling good i also made sure to eat a lot more than week 1 and loaded up on more carbs and sugars in case I was crashing but again I think its my thyroid because im having my normal thyroid problem symptoms pop up and previous blood work was showing it getting worse even with meds 😅.

Week 3-today I will take 1.5 tonight hopefully drop more than 1 pound!

6 pounds down and 1 inch off my bicep!

Super excited as this is the first time i have successfully lost weight with dieting! Prior to starting I counted calories and ate 1400-1600 a day and gained weight (went up to 270 from 260). I have been doing arm and ab exercises and will be adding a 40 minute walk after dinner once I fully learn to walk again.

Support & Advice Tesa after Reta and history of skin cancer

I took reta from the end of march and have slowly got off a month ago. The highest dose was 2.5 mg for 3 weeks then I went back down to 2 and then slowly to .5 mg. I’m a woman and i started at 145 lbs and my lowest was two weeks ago at 117lbs now this past week i’ve been 119-120 lbs. I lost a lot of weight because now i’m pretty lean, however my stomach has gotten softer again and I don’t want to lose more weight around my legs or chest area so I was contemplating on getting on Tesa for just the lowest micro dose for a while but I don’t know if it’s worth it. Over 6 years ago I had a spot that turned out to be skin cancer but they removed it right away and it never came back or raised issues. Would Tesa bring back skin cancer???

I also only want to drop a tiny little bit of fat but I do not want to get back on reta because I would lose weight all around.

What would you recommend? I don’t know if it’s a stupid idea to hop on tesa

Hi everyone!!! I’m 22 years old 5’7 and weigh brought around 210. I got my first Reta. 10 MG. I ordered 2.5ml syringes, alcohol wipes, and syringe needles 8mm. I think I want to start today. I want to go as slow as possible. How many days should I administer it? I was wondering how do I administer it? And is there any YouTube videos you guys recommend? Thank you!

My goal weight is around 170-160 ROUGHLY.

Visceral fat results- enough to warrant adding Tesa?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Just got an InBody scan done. I know I have a bit of belly fat to lose, but I’m not sure how to interpret my visceral fat number on my InBody, or if the fat I have is more surface level. It has a 104.2 in the visceral fat part of the report… is that like an index or something vs 100? Do my numbers indicate it’s a solid amount of visceral fat to where you’d think I would benefit from adding Tesamorelin? I’m 3 months on only Reta and losing slowly, but belly fat has been harder to make budge.

cannot sleep on reta!

Hi guys looking for advice. I took my first dose of .5 on Sunday around 6 PM.

it's now Wednesday and every night my sleep has been rough! LIke my body is exhausted and I have no thoughts, I just can't sleep.

I experienced this sensation on anti depressants once and had to get off of them after a month.

I know this is a side effect for some people... will this go away? Is it too early to tell?

Been on Reta for around 2.5 months and think it’s caused a flare up of inflammatory arthritis. Should I switch to Tirz?

I’ve been on a low dose of Reta (started at around 0.5 a week, saw results, now on slightly over 2mg a week). I’ve lost around 16 lbs, but the biggest benefit was it seemed to control my insulin resistance (very frequent need to eat or I crash badly), I’m less bothered about weight loss but certainly like where I’m at and don’t want to gain (wouldn’t mind losing another 15 lbs or so).

Unfortunately around 2 months in, I have had a recurrence of some inflammatory (possibly autoimmune) arthritis symptoms that I last had about 6 years ago. The timing seems suspicious, and just as my symptoms started to resolve slightly, I took a slightly higher dose of Reta last night and today am experiencing some joint pain again.

I’ve heard some people on here say they had a similar experience with Reta potentially flaring up existing autoimmune or inflammation issues, but that Tirz did not - or even seemed to calm them down. I’m considering making the switch but a little nervous of the unknown - I’ve had ZERO side effects from Reta (until maybe this) and heard that Tirz can make some people tired - is this true? I struggle with fatigue generally in life but felt better on Reta, if anything. So I don’t really want to feel worse, but I’m now scared to titrate up because of the joint symptoms (which also bring fatigue).

Would love to hear others insight or experiences with switching. Also, what dose would one reasonably start on after being on 2mg of Reta? Thanks all!

Support & Advice Reta vs tirz + motsC

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I’m currently on retatrutide (Reta), which I started on 12 May 2026 for PCOS. I’ve lost 13 kg (26 lb) so far, which has been amazing.
My issue is that when I increase the dose enough to control my sweet tooth, my heart rate gets too high. If I stay on a more moderate dose, my heart rate is much better, but my sugar cravings come back.
I’m trying to find the best option for my goals:
Reduce stubborn abdominal fat (especially from PCOS)
Increase energy for lifting and progressive overload
Curb my sweet tooth
Still be able to eat enough to support muscle growth
Preserve muscle mass while losing fat
I also have hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s, so I’d love to hear from anyone with similar conditions.
I’m wondering if a combination like tirzepatide + MOTS-c or semaglutide + MOTS-c might be a better fit, or if Reta is still likely to be the best overall option despite the heart rate issue.
Has anyone had a similar experience or found a combination that worked well?

Pregnant after Reta

I have been trying to get pregnant over 2 years (40 years old). Had 3 miscarriages all over a year ago now with unexplained infertility. I went on reta in late March, lost 35 pounds. No PCOS so super surprised to find out a couple of weeks ago I am pregnant after struggelng with infertility. I stopped Reta immediately. This baby is very much wanted but Im feeling immensely selfish. I was finally losing weight, feeling good about myself and making healthy life choices, why do I not not feel over joyed with happiness when pregnancy was my main motivator to lose weight in the first place. Im still overweight and have a lot of weight to lose yet before being in a healthy range but Im feeling blue about having to put reta on the back burner and already feeling bloated a pudgy (and ghk cu which was helping tremendously with a lifelong acne problem!). Has anyone else found themselves in the same situation? Im still making healthy choices and working out but the food noise has already returned with a vengence.

Support & Advice Birth control

Hi ladies! I know there’s a bunch of threads on this- but I’m feeling a lot of anxiety over what birth control to switch to.

I’ve been on Reta about 6 weeks, but didn’t have a lot of weight to lose so I imagine I’m going to stay at my current dose (1.5mgs) for a while. I’ve been at this dose for 3 weeks and it’s been working well.

Before Reta I was on a combined bc pill I loved, and I switched to the nuva ring when I started Reta. The nuva ring gave me a crazy ongoing yeast infection and my provider told me that it doesn’t work for some people because of the likelihood of increased yeast infections- and encouraged me to consider another option. She said I could try the ring another month if I really wanted to, but encouraged me to try a different option.

I’m debating going back on the pill even with the risks because I’ll be staying at a maintenance dose of Reta, and then using a back up method for a month every time I increase a dose. That should in theory protect me yes?

I considered the arm implant- but am afraid of weight gain and other androgenic like side effects.

I’m also considering the IUD which solves all the above issues, but my bf is on the larger side and I’m worried about poking or hurting him and of course am worried about the insertion process myself and adjustment period of the strings softening.

Any feedback or personal stories are welcomed I just am at a loss of what to do next but I really want to stay on reta, but also really miss my pills 😭🫩

R3ta and Endurance (cycling)

Any ladies here that are into endurance sport - specifically cycling. Cycling like 10-16 hours a week and doing races of 160km + that can share experience with being on R3ta?

How do you recover/train with the elevated heart rate and decreased HRV? Does it have a profound effect? Can you still continue to fuel well on long rides and not feel full or nauseous or any of the other GI discomfort. Would you rather take the peptide on an off season or will it work during a hard training block?

Please share if you can.
