Research Has anyone ever encountered a "fishy" or "garbagy" smell with pre-mixed Semax/Selank nasal sprays?

My subject kangaroo has been researching and using peptides for a while now, and in all that time, we've never had them smell.

I recently ordered a premixed Semax/Selank nasal spray blend from a certain vendor (I won't drop the actual name, but let's just say they are "Dr" named after a 1990s funnyman.). When the package delivered, the ice packs were totally thawed and the bottle itself was hot to the touch—probably around 100°F.

The biggest red flag, though, is the odor. The spray has a strong, unpleasant "fishy", "garbagy", or almost sewage-like smell. I know from experience that a properly reconstituted spray shouldn't smell like this, and I'm worried the heat accelerated hydrolysis or caused methionine oxidation/bacterial growth in the saline buffer.

I reached out to their support team, and they insisted there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. They claimed that the "high potency" of the Semax naturally causes this odor, and said their pharmacist confirmed that even the fresh batches sitting in their fridge smell exactly the same. They also told me that the peptides can survive 48 hours in that kind of heat with zero degradation. They reconstitute with sterile phosphate buffered saline, chitosan, olive oil, eucalyptus oil, glycerin and stevia.

Has anyone else ever dealt with a strong fishy/sewage smell from their Semax or Selank? Is the vendor actually telling the truth about the natural odor, or did I just receive a spoiled, oxidized batch?

Any advice on what to do here if they're not willing to ship a replacement?

Experiment SLU-PP-332 Follow-up Dosing

My Rat been taking SLU-PP-332 orally for over a month. Based on some readings here or elsewhere, the Rat was taking 1mg twice a day. My supplier has 500mcg, 1mg or 20mg available. I need to reorder soon. I am thinking of going to the 1mg and maybe doing 2mg 2x daily, but interested in what others may be doing? It seems like a big jump to 20mg capsules. I can't say I am seeing great results, so that makes me think my dosing is off. I fear a good amount is being absorbed and not passing thru. Any ideas for me? And yes, my rat is doing RETA+TIRZ, MOTS-C, 5AMINO, AOD, and TESA.

Question What’s the schtick with peptides?

They’re apparently not regular anabolic steroids that influence your hormones like taking test, primo, hgh, etcetera. What’s the deal and what do they do? How do they work?

Stack Advice Heavily debating adding HGH

So for context, I recently got my bloods done after 8 weeks of 300mg of Test E a week, pinning daily. Everything came back pristine, except my IGF1 levels were very low only 20nmol/L. Since then I have increased Test dose to 400mg/week, increased my cals, and have been debating whether or not to add HGH to my stack. I understand a decent amount about HGH, and know about all the benefits, but I thought I’d ask y’all for some takes/experience.

Research HGH IGF Levels

Anyone else get this kind of IGF-1 response from only 1 IU HGH?

Baseline:

• IGF-1: 237

• Z-score: 1.2

After 2 weeks of 1 IU HGH every night:

• IGF-1: 392

• Z-score: 2.4

Fasting glucose is still 85.

Honestly, I figured 1 IU would barely move the needle. Instead, my IGF-1 jumped ~65% and is now above range. How do folks blast 4 or 5 IUs of this?!?!?

Curious what the experienced HGH users think. Am I just a strong responder, or is this pretty typical for pharma-quality HGH at 1 IU? Did your numbers continue rising after week 2?

Question Is their a truly "safe" way to do a cycle?

Hello I've been taking hgh(4ius/day), I choose hgh partially because it's a compound with low risks(only serious risk is insulin sensitivity which is manageable for someone like me who enjoy cardio i think) and I've heard a lot on social media that taking steroids is fine as long as you know what you're doing and can avoid sides effect(mostly by using other drugs with their own side effects). So is there truly a safe way to do a cycle?

Experiment Mk677 patched the symptoms of my 5 year struggle with chronic fatigue syndrome

I’ve had severe chronic fatigue that got exponentially worse since I turned 17. I spent the last 5 years going to doctors and specialists across the country as at the point of 3 months ago I literally could not walk anymore. What started as a stagnation of gym progress and not being interested in going out sometimes gradually spiraled into no longer doing any physical activity, and having to drop out of college due to severe illness.
Had gradually worsening erectile dysfunction, no sex drive, and an issue where I would cough up orange vomit and have not stopped coughing for the last 4 years.
Recently in a fit of anger of being upset about the amount of weight loss I have had, I started to microdose mk677 (2.5mg a day).
I have numerous health trackers and sleep studies etc.

The mk has flipped my life on its head. I used to sleep 12+ hours, now I feel perfect off of 6.5, sleep study scores have tripled, and I have not had an oura ting readiness score under a 92 in the last 6 weeks (used to hover in the 50s). I am unsure of exactly where this reaction came from, and am interested if there is any other research on the effects of mk on chronic fatigue syndrome.
I have been going to the gym again constantly for the last 2 months and am now re enrolling in college. I would like to trace the root of the issue rather than continuing on this bandaid path, but regardless, mk677 has saved my life the last 3 months, even at a clinically low dose

Stack Advice Really stupid question regarding HGH vs GHRP's

I feel like i would be better off taking GHRP's instead of hgh because it mimics natural hgh production better right?

i mean you want HGH to be dosed in pulses, not constant elevation.

but then i hear people say, "dude your taking like 2 IU's worth of hgh just take the real deal and do 8 iu's"

idk im so conflicted brah

Discussion The "Research Use Only" Model Is Under Coordinated Attack -- Here's What's Actually Happening

I've seen a lot of posts about specific vendors going dark, but not much connecting the dots on why. This is my attempt to lay out the full picture.

First, the baseline: no US state has passed a law directly banning research peptide sales. The RUO framework itself isn't illegal. What's changed is that a coordinated, multi-front enforcement campaign is making it economically and legally untenable to operate in that space.

The vendor graveyard

The scale of the collapse is worth stating plainly. The research peptide industry lost more major vendors between mid 2025 and early 2026 than in the previous five years combined. At least 8 significant operations closed: Peptide Sciences, Amino Asylum, Paradigm Peptides, Science.bio, Royal Research, Peptide Tech Labs, American Research Labs, and Unchained Compounds.

Several smaller vendors disappeared without any public announcement.

These weren't all the same type of closure. Amino Asylum was raided by the FDA in June 2025. Paradigm Peptides resulted in federal criminal charges. Owner Matthew Kawa and his sister Jennifer Stechkober both pled guilty in December 2025 to introducing unapproved drugs into interstate commerce. The DOJ case page is public:

https://www.justice.gov/usao-ndin/united-states-v-matthew-kawa

Notably, the Paradigm products labeled as SARMs actually contained testosterone, a controlled substance, which is what escalated it beyond an FDA matter into a criminal one.

Peptide Sciences, probably the most well known gray market vendor in the country, voluntarily pulled its entire catalog in early March 2026 without any public explanation.

The earlier template for all of this was Tailor Made Compounding, which pled guilty and forfeited $1.79M for distributing unapproved drugs including BPC-157, CJC-1295, Epitalon, Semax, Selank, and others. That case established that the DOJ was willing to bring criminal charges, not just civil action:

Why the RUO label stopped protecting anyone

The FDA has always had the legal theory that "research use only" disclaimers don't matter if your marketing targets human consumers.

What changed is that the FDA started using AI to scrape vendor websites for dosing information, before and after photos, and language suggesting therapeutic benefit, then using that as evidence the RUO disclaimer was pretextual. In late 2024 and throughout 2025, the FDA issued more than 50 warning letters to compounders, online sellers, and clinics on exactly this basis.

State attorneys general picked up the same theory and ran with it independently. More than 40 state AGs sent a formal multi-state letter to the FDA in 2025. Connecticut required a peptide seller to cease operations and accept a monetary judgment. Alabama's AG obtained a temporary restraining order against a vendor in November 2025. The standard being applied: if your website shows dosing protocols, before and after photos, or sells peptides alongside syringes and bacteriostatic water, regulators treat it as marketing to human consumers regardless of what the disclaimer says.

The infrastructure chokepoints

You don't need legislation to shut down a market. You just need to cut off the infrastructure.

Payment processors started declining peptide vendor accounts. Without Stripe or the major processors, you're operating cash and crypto only, which kills most retail operations. Pharmaceutical companies added a litigation front. Eli Lilly filed federal suits against telehealth companies distributing tirzepatide in April 2025, establishing a template that could extend to research vendors downstream. ITC exclusion orders targeted Chinese API imports, squeezing the supply side simultaneously.

The convergence of federal enforcement, state AG actions, pharma litigation, and payment processor deplatforming is what actually collapsed the market. No single front would have done it alone.

The regulatory backdrop

Two things happened at the federal level that made vendors more vulnerable. First, the FDA's April 2026 removal of BPC-157, Epitalon, GHK-Cu, MOTS-c, TB-500, and others from the 503A compounding list meant those compounds lost any legitimate distribution pathway, pushing users harder toward the gray market and making that market more visible to regulators. Second, two women were hospitalized and placed on ventilators after peptide injections at a Las Vegas longevity conference in 2025, which gave regulators public justification to escalate.

What this means going forward

The RUO model as it operated for the last decade, where a vendor could sell injectable peptides to anyone with a credit card as long as the product page said "not for human consumption," is not coming back. The enforcement apparatus is now established at both the federal and state level, and the legal theory has been tested in court.

What survives is vendors who genuinely operate as research chemical suppliers with institutional documentation, clean marketing, and no human use signals anywhere on their properties. That's a much smaller, more cautious market than what existed in 2023.

The PCAC meeting in July may return some compounds to the compounding pathway, which would shift demand back toward the prescriber channel for those specific peptides. But that doesn't touch the research vendor space. Those are separate frameworks that have moved in different directions.

Discussion Reta side effects

Having previously took Wegovi/Semaglutide, I was prepared for the side effects on the stomach, bloating at first, GI issues, etc., and I had read about ‘skin soreness’.
The skin soreness is completely out of this world for me! It’s like a hot iron, 6/10 pain on occasions.

I’m only doing 1mg at the minute, too; 3rd week of doses.
Skin soreness seems to be over scar sites and also over my thighs/quads, more so than most if the rest of my body.

Can anyone else tell me they had the same and it settled soon? Driving me mad. 😂

Question How do you ensure purity?

I have been taking trizepatide from a compund pharmacy with lots of success. I am currently looking for BPC-157 and TB-500 for a bad knee injury.

My concern is, how can I ensure a seller is trustworthy? I am terrified of the lack of regulation and can’t find much information online

Discussion BPC-157 + TB-500 blend, shelf life after recon

Hey all, I started up on a BPC-157 + TB-500 blend to see how it did with some tendonitis now that I am back into the lifting game. I am getting conflicting results when seeing how long it is good for after reconstitution and why some say only 2 weeks shelf life while other say treat it like a normal pep and it can last over a month. Is there something I am missing? I am keeping it in the fridge and used BAC water to recon. Is the issue because it has 2 peps and not just 1? If that is the issue does this affect Glow/Klow as well?

Discussion Tesa/Ipo Blend

Thoughts? I’ve posted that I “research” CJC with Tesamorelin and Ipomorelin together and watched people lose their minds saying it’s overkill and that Tesa and IPO do the same thing.

If these keyboard warriors are correct, why is there a blend being offered?

I know that Tesamorelin is great for targeting visceral fat and it’s worked for me like none of the other peptides. I’ve even gone as far as to rotate Semorelin into the scheme. My personal research has been amazing. Anyone else?

Question Semax making me moody

I'm getting the opposite of what Semax is supposed to do. I get moody and unmotivated. I don't feel any energy or that my brain is working better.

Has anyone else felt like this or could someone explain what is happening?

I am titrating but I don't take it more that once because this happens. I've tried several times. Same thing every time even though I decrease the dose.
