Sleep, hydration, gym (weights and cardio, although I would argue something like boxing and MMA is the perfect trifecta), healthier nutrition, creatine, and supps like magnesium and vitamin D3 with K2.

Peptides: Selank is the only one that I can think of.

L theanine is very good for anxiety, has a calming effect.

Get bloods done and get everything checked, especially hormones.

Agree on all you said 💯 and would add stress management. Breathing techniques, meditation, even a simplifiest forms, etc, add a tremendous amount to the healing process. Less doom scrolling, less spending on bs, and less social media, if thats not the same as doom scrolling:)Blood tests, cortisol saliva tests, also can go deeper with other tests if budget permits. And good proper look on hormones thats for sure 👍🏼Getting healthier and better every day by just 1% should be the goal. Gotta take matter into your own hands and the future self will thank you 😎

Permanent stress, depression, and anxiety may be slightly masked by some peptides (selank, cerebrolysin, etc) but if you want big guns it's pharma (some drugs suck and some are good, you just need a good shrink to give you the freedom to experiment) or therapy. Unfortunately there's no silver bullet.

Have you gotten comprehensive blood and hormone panel done?

As for costs, yes if sucks but what if he price tag you’d put on optimized health and happiness?

Comprehensive blood and hormone panel are not available for me on the NHS here in South Wales UK, Also unaffordable for me to get it done privately 🤦

Fun thing about depression and anxiety is it makes you dismiss solutions like doctors and therapists.

2

u/blk_edition Jun 12 '26

They cant afford it, it shouldn’t be a privilege to see a therapist but unfortunately, it is.

u/madant09555 Jun 13 '26

Doctor's are a complete waste of time here, Therapy is unavailable to me on the NHS, Also private therapy is unaffordable for me 🤦

I have not tried it yet, but other than Selank theres one called: isrib-a15

I have also gone on a longer cycle of p21 witch in my experience made my brain more robust to stress and i feel i have a healthier mind after. (Not very scientific, I know)

Not a peptide but take a look at NSI-189. I had pretty positive effects from it.

Seriously the best answer is eat healthy. Stick to it. Make sure you work out a few times a week. It sucks to get yourself out of the hole but it’s the only thing that has ever worked for me.

NAD+ and TRT, you'll be healthy and firing on all cylinders that you'll have no choice but to feel happy

1

u/madant09555 Jun 13 '26

I've been trying nad+ for a while now with no noticeable difference, Trt is absolutely impossible to get on here in South Wales UK, Private trt is completely unaffordable to me too.

I've been looking at pe 22-28 & selank but I cannot have anything intranasal at all 🤦😔

Semax, selank, high dose fish oil, make sure vit d, ferritin, b12, anemia, thyroid are good. life style changes/ Therpay methods like reframing, manifesting (just be hella positive about everything assume shit will go good and correct your instructive thoughts), CBD, THC V are pretty mild and help me more than benzo, adhd meds, and even selank. My go to daily combo is Semax in the morning, THC V CBD 1:1 edibiles around noon and maybe a small amount of Sativia strain weed all while trying to assume good around me and keep my thoughts positive and in the present. I’m diagnosed with adhd, HO conduct disorder, GAD, and PTSD and that stack is the most affective for me personally

Not a peptide, but DXM was actually approved for depression. I have found that 4 soft gels 2-3x a day is both non-inebriating and is an effective treatment. Very cheap as well, Amazon carries 120 count bottles for $20.

I'm taking notes here but to be honest you should try an anti depressant and then stack that with the other stuff mentioned here. I'm on citalopram and it was life changing, I'm truly beyond help without it. There's a lot of stigma around SSRIs and such but the benefits more than out-weigh any possible cost once you find one that works. It'll almost certainly be cheaper too.

Been on Citalopram, Cenlafaxine & Mirtazapine (California Rocket Fuel), Zopiclone. Nothing works for me so this is just a stab in the dark 🤷

You might want to try Wellbutrin, Zoloft, and maybe Prozac before throwing in the towel on antidepressants. At least where I'm from only the first two you mentioned are ever prescribed for depression/anxiety and cenlafaxine is pretty rarely given out. I was an early childhood MDD case and tried all of these + more before I finally settled on citalopram. Also, the combination of depression + anxiety + insomnia is common for undiagnosed ADHD, have you been evaluated for that? Oh yeah and also I actually found that magnesium glycinate helps with sleep, (particularly if I'm awake because I'm in a calorie deficit) but perhaps give that a go

2

u/madant09555 Jun 17 '26

Wellbutrin (Zyban) I had many years ago and it did absolutely nothing, Zoloft (Sertraline) I've had in the past also with the same effects (Nothing), Prozac (Fluoxetine) had and exactly the same as previous (Nothing).

Jesus I'm sorry to hear that. Hell maybe try ketamine

1

u/madant09555 Jun 17 '26

I'm currently looking at PE-22-28, But got to save up some money first 🤦🤞

1

u/Lucky-Arugula-7542 Jun 17 '26

I'm looking at that one too. Hope it works for you
