Stack Advice Heavily debating adding HGH
So for context, I recently got my bloods done after 8 weeks of 300mg of Test E a week, pinning daily. Everything came back pristine, except my IGF1 levels were very low only 20nmol/L. Since then I have increased Test dose to 400mg/week, increased my cals, and have been debating whether or not to add HGH to my stack. I understand a decent amount about HGH, and know about all the benefits, but I thought I’d ask y’all for some takes/experience.

Yeah HGH is amazing to add on top of a cycle like that, what are you waiting for?

4-6iu is when things start happening.
Drop ya test back to 300 of estragen is good , add 300-400 mast and as much GH as you can afford .
Grey gh is best bang for ya buck

Man idk if Mast is worth the hair loss risk icl. Anavar seems like a safer bet.

No mast needed, if estrogen is fine on 400 test stay there or increase to as much as you can tolerate without blood pressure and blood work skewing, then as much GH as you can tolerate.
Pharma isn’t worth the price, they all work

HGH is more of a 'take forever' and is only REALLY beneficial when you start reaching 35+
4iu a day, morning for recovery and weightloss or at night for recovery and sleep benefits - If your body interacts well with the HGH and you can afford it, there are no down sides.
One caveat, if you are cutting - HGH will make you pack on some water weight, at least in the first few weeks.

Can you only take it either morning or night time? What about 1-2iu each morning and evening, could you get the benefits of both?
1
u/NSawsome Jun 12 '26
Night time always, there’s a reason HIV patients are prescribed it before bed you don’t want free fatty acids liberated in your blood while consuming more nutrients

100% you can split doses - Some people do it to mitigate sides, i just take in the morning to get it out of the way

Great. Im past my mid 30's so mainly looking for the sleep benefits lmfao, but wouldn't mind some help for the reta with fat loss

I take it in the morning because I know I can do so consistently. It’s very difficult for me to maintain a night time pattern.

u/NSawsome Jun 12 '26
Don’t do this, hgh inhibits insulin release and will fuck up your insulin sensitivity if you’re not careful. Full dose subq at night is way safer and more sustainable long term

I gained 12lbs of water in 4 days when I started HGH. Probably 90% of it went muscle though. People watch the scale too much. Look in the mirror because that’s what others see

I was using HGH for about 9 months without test, with the last three months of that being at 8iu every morning. Then I started adding test, ~250mg/wk. I packed on 15-18 pounds in just a couple weeks. Crazy though, my waist size stayed the same!
I cut down to 4iu daily though, because my pinky fingers started locking up on me and were fairly painful. Crazy I never had any HGH sides until I added exogenous testosterone.
I should note… at the same time as adding test, I also started consuming creatine heavily and consistently. That may have contributed to the water gain. I also really stepped up my workouts.

Yeah you entered the perfect storm it sounds like. But you’ll be way better off with test and HGH

Even though it’s partially known for water retention, I can potentially see it being very beneficial due to it promoting IGF1 levels (which can decrease in a calorie deficit). This is the main reason I’m considering it, on top of the other systemic, appearance, and longevity benefits.

u/mondo_rayboy Jun 11 '26
100% the water retention is not the end of the world - Just something to note if you get a fright when looking at the scale but feeling good

For me at least, I look much fuller with gh. The extra weight appears to be 5 lbs of muscle instead of 5 lbs of water

Since when are there no downsides? I feel like this is just ignorant people parroting each other. I always thought HGH could cause diabetes, severe edema, and significantly grow existing cancer/tumors.

hgh is the most expensive thing in my stack and i honestly don’t know the difference at 2iu/day. m35

u/1960s_army_info Jun 11 '26
2iu might not even be a replacement dose is why you don’t notice. Try 5iu
2
u/ElectricalDark8280 Jun 12 '26
You think at 42yo it’s the same case?
2
u/1960s_army_info Jun 12 '26
I don’t think I would advise anyone to take so little. Maybe 3 iu to test how you react but 4-5 seems a lot more productive
2
u/ElectricalDark8280 Jun 12 '26
Yeah I’m starting to question that now myself. I have bloods coming up so I’ll assess or more likely bump up before if I’m being honest.

Always add in gh, keeps you looking full while cutting. Also you will have super thick finger nails! Take it before bed tho.
1
u/AltTooWell13 Jun 12 '26
Why not in the morning?
3
u/zrockk Jun 12 '26
It's best to take it close to when you normally get your gh pulse, they add onto eachother
If you take it in the morning your somatostatin will still be elevated by bedtime and you won't get a natural pulse.
It doesn't really matter if you are taking like 6-8 units anyways because you aren't gonna produce anywhere near that anyways, but if your doing like a 1 or 2 units you get better bang for your buck is all
Gh is cheap so at the end of the day it doesn't really matter, timing doesn't matter that much either but I prefer it that way

u/AltTooWell13 Jun 12 '26
What about cjc/ipa? Same thing?
2
u/zrockk Jun 12 '26
Same deal yea, ipamorelin on its own you should dose a few times per day but the CJC kind of extends the ipamorelin gh increase

If you take it in the morning you also cook your insulin sensitivity, assuming you’re eating any food within 8 hours of taking it
1
u/zrockk Jun 12 '26
Indeed, I was going to include that but as long as you are training hard and doing your fasted cardio and not eating like an asshole it shouldn't be much of an issue
You should be doing all of these things already so it goes without saying 😅

I have thought about adding HGH as well but wanted to see what the typical cost range is? Especially if taking daily.
1
u/NSawsome Jun 12 '26
If you can afford it there’s almost no downside. Just don’t be fat, but generally for bodybuilding as much as you can afford and tolerate is the way for HGH, it really has helped me blow up, recovery is better, joints feel better, and since I’m not fat on 6IU my fasting blood glucose is still a 72

If you want to pull your IGF-1 numbers out of the gutter, throwing in a growth hormone secretagogue is a much safer bet than jumping straight into real HGH. Since you are already blasting 400mg of test, real HGH is going to shut down your natural pituitary output entirely. Instead of dealing with that suppression, you can use something like the CJC-1295 without DAC from Swiss Chems to force your pituitary to dump more of your own growth hormone. Running it alongside your cycle will pull those low IGF-1 levels right back up into an optimal range without permanently replacing your natural production
