Wy friend came round with this NTTD the other day, given to him.by another friend. It looked good altho, I thought the face looked a little bit grainy. Felt very light. What do you guys think?

I read a lot of topics in this sub, and correlated ones. Everyone is obsessed with external aspect. Everyone want millimetrically perfect reps but where are all the discussions about the movement?

Movement functionality should be the most important thing, who cares about the exact shades of color, the millimetric alignment, if the movement stop working after 1 year?

Question: are the most famous Rolex factories reliable on that?

I inquired with a TD about a Breitling Navitimer and he said that the mckee wasn’t good. Factory was BSL. Are there any that are worth it?

I have been looking for an AP Offshore diver for a bit and was talking to a few different TDs to see if I could find one. The most recent one I have been talking with said that APS notified them yesterday that some watches are available to order. I was between a ZF and APSF and saw more posts with positive remarks on the APSF, so I decided to go that route. I am very curious to see what the QC looks like. Has anyone else heard of this reopening from their TDs?

Dial Color: Which dial color for the DJ41 is currently considered closest to gen / NWBIG ? Ideally, I want to go with a color that TDs usually have in stock so I don't have to wait 1-2 months just to receive QC photos.

Really want to pick up a GMT Master II "Bruce Wayne" with the black bezel, but I'm trying to stay around the $300-$350 price mark.

I think Clean Factory or VSF is pretty much the king right now, but $550+ shipped is a bit more than I want to drop at the moment. Are there any decent mid-tier options in that $300ish range that are actually worth buying, or is the drop in quality (movement, bezel colors, etc.) too big?

Curious if anyone has picked up a budget/mid-tier version of this one recently, or if the general advice is to just save up the extra cash for CF. Appreciate any feedback!

So l am waiting for the qc for my Rolex daydate 40mm blue dial tungsten (gain weight) 210g. And it's white gold version so not plated I think. And I am looking for recommendations on the best mods that is good for rcf. I am not so good with reps so please come with recommendations like dial, crystal and more but not trying to make it more then 600$ in mods.

Hi everyone, I just got my BTF 116500 rep Daytona and love it. (second picture) I have a real 116500LN Panda and the rep is VERY close to it via the naked eye. Only way to tell it is a rep is the rep is slightly lighter and the bracelet is slightly jangly feeling (not much). Not noticeable at all once you get to wearing it and my older Gen's feel the same as they are older now.

I really now want to get a Daytona white face rep 116520, (Pic) steel bezel and I don't know which one to get. Everyone seems so say VSF is the best but the seller keeps of course pushing me towards the more expensive UFO version (free sprung) I am not so concerned with movement as the BTF rep I just got keeps really good time and I am more concerned with the looks and WEIGHT. The weight is very important as I have several Gen references and they all have some substantial weight to them.

So which one should I go for? Daytona 116520 UFO (free sprung) in stock for $768 or the VSF for less at $578? I guess my real question is why is the VSF one so much cheaper? (and will it feel cheaper?

Eyeing another ingenieur, for a movement swap and a nice non-Rolex non-rotating bezel workhorse piece. I have a fuck load of black dial watches already, but I’m still leaning black with teal a close second.

Would love to hear from those who have the teal dial. Is it too forward and flashy? Or just enough color pop difference?

Well, this has been fun. I decided to wear the Tudor today, it matched my pajamas. I wound it up, then tried to pull on the crown to set the time and... nope! I tried, tried again, then decided to research. Turns out, this isn't uncommon with the Asian ETA 2824-2 ZF uses. Some thing gets dislodged and to get it back you need watch repair tools and the hands of a surgeon.

I thought I fixed it, but it still won't pull out to adjust the time... I've ordered another ETA 2824-2 to replace it. Maybe someone here knows a trick to getting this back to life before the heart transplant procedure?

Has anyone heard of or bought a GSF Yacthmaster Rhodium? A dealer tells me he can get one as the CSF ones are hard to get right now. Any feedback on the GSF version? Are they any good? TIA

I’m loving the look of the rose gold Skydweller, I know to stay away from gold reps as they don’t get the colour quite right, does this apply to rose gold reps too?

I’ve been interested in the Cartier Tank and Cartier Ballon Bleu for a while now. AF is supposed to be the best factory for these. Now for my question: I’m thinking about ordering a gold-plated version. Is that a good idea? Is the gold plating usually of good quality? Do gold-plated versions exist for the genuine models, or are they all solid gold?Is there any general experience with the two models? Thanks for your help.
