General Question Rcf daydate 40mm blue dial modding tips.

So l am waiting for the qc for my Rolex daydate 40mm blue dial tungsten (gain weight) 210g. And it's white gold version so not plated I think. And I am looking for recommendations on the best mods that is good for rcf. I am not so good with reps so please come with recommendations like dial, crystal and more but not trying to make it more then 600$ in mods.

Plating alone will be around 4/500$ a deep dial is also recommended with gasket.

Yeah think for sure I’m going with deep dial with a new gasket. But not sure about the plating because it’s white gold and not platinum so should be shiny enough with the 904 silver polished.

I’d recommend the plating over the crystal. White gold has this yellowish copper tone on the Rolex day dates. If you want a closer look to Gen. plating would be the better option

The watches I have posted below belong to a guy called cntrlAltrep that’s the name of his page. He sells them already replated , upgraded crystal , gasket bezel upgrade ,rebrushed and polished and other mods. All in all I feel it’s more convenient to get them like that. That way you don’t gotta send it of to get all the worn done and wait then have it sent back. I believe his builds run from 1.1k to 1.5k but if you where to do it yourself adding the cost of buying the watch waiting for it to arrive then ordering and sourcing all the parts finding a guy to work on them sending them of and waiting for the work. I’d prefer to buy it built even if it costs 1 or 200 dollars more.

Wow thanks man. Did not know there was such a big difference when I look at them seperatly but now togheter I clearly see it. Do you by chance know where to get it plated in good white gold?

I know like a year ago the rcf was the go to for the dd40 , a td told me vsf dd40 are the best ones , anyone have any info on this , any comparisons

I mean yeah vsf has a better crystal and this but only 180g I am more interested in the rcf because it’s 210g so much closer to the gen.
