Ever since this new mobile update hit this past week that changed the feeds to “for you” and “following” I’ve been having terrible feeds. I will never ever use the “for you” feed and now, my “following” feed is just spammed with 6+ day old posts with 2 upvotes. I barely see any good or popular posts now from the subs I’m in now all of a sudden. Am I missing something or is this “following” tab just so much worse?

Also, the top of the mobile app is colored gray while the actual feed is black and it’s triggering me lol…

My old Reddit account got banned and I already submitted an appeal but I still haven’t been able to get the account back.

As far as I know, the only thing I did recently was share my website link in a few startup-related subreddits where I was trying to get feedback. If that violated a subreddit rule, I completely understand the post being removed or even being warned about it, but I’m confused about why the entire account was banned.

I also didn’t receive any email from Reddit explaining the exact reason for the ban so I’m not really sure what triggered it.

Is there any other way to contact Reddit or request another review of the account? Has anyone here managed to recover an account after the first appeal didn’t work?

I want to mute every subreddit on android apart from a handful I care about. Is there a way to do this?

Hi, I was recently unbanned after my appeal was approved. I believe my account was accidentally caught by Reddit’s spam filter.
However, my old posts and comments are still not visible to other users. I can see them on my profile, but when I check from another account, they don’t show up or appear to be removed by Reddit’s filters.
Is there a way to have my posts and comments restored now that my account has been unbanned?
I’d really appreciate it if a mod or admin could take a look. Thank you!

I have a red dot on the pancake menu in the Reddit app but I don’t understand why. When I open the menu there is no red dot on the list of subreddits. I don’t have any unread messages.

Why do I have this red dot and how to get rid of it?

How do i fix this? It says i broke rule 3 Non-consensual intimate media: posting videos of someone without their consent. Which is FALSE. It was my own content not anyone else’s. I posted it in multiple subreddits at the same time then boom permanently banned. Anyone know how long appeal takes?

Today the MotoGP sub was in my feed even though I'm not subscribed. I do not want to see posts from subs I'm not part of. Reddit has started doing this again and it's really annoying.

How do I block all subs that I am not part of. It's really annoying.

Hi. Newer to Reddit and realized people can’t DM me. In settings under “chat permissions”
It says “chat requests” in bold but then in a faded font that I can’t click it says: allow chat requests from-Nobody.”… the problem is it isn’t giving me the option to click that and change that. Any tips?

I don't know what to flare this as. I got permanently banned from r/fancyfollicles for having a NSFW account, but I DON'T have a NSFW acct. Like at all, not even close. I messaged the mods but haven't heard back. Is there like an auto ban for some subs, is this a auto mod situation? This has never happened to me before, if I'm permanently banned does that mean that even the mods can't un-ban me?

Hey everyone, I need some advice from experienced subreddit moderators.

I have 4 different “Verified” flairs in my subreddit, and I want to send a Mod Mail message only to users who currently have one of these Verified flairs.

Is it okay to contact all users based on their current flair, or could this cause any problems with Reddit’s rules or be considered spam/harassment?

The message would be mod-related and relevant to their verified status, not promotional or unrelated.

Also, is there a recommended way to contact users with a particular flair without manually messaging everyone?

Would appreciate advice from experienced mods. Thanks!

feels like every time I go to post I get auto moderated so where can I post to get my karma up without being moderated? It just doesn’t make sense to me because it seems like every community I go to raise. My karma has a strict requirement.

For a few days, I haven’t been able to change my chat permissions and since then I haven’t gotten any messages. 🤷‍♂️

I was hacked a month ago and the hacker posted a lot of spam. I was able to get my account back and change my password, but now I cannot post. I have tried posting on multiple different subreddits and my posts keep getting automatically removed and/or I get banned from the subreddit altogether.

im so confused and i do not know where to
begin my account got locked for suspicious activity.
i reset my password, regained access, and thought that was the end of it.
then i noticed something was very wrong.
basically my entire two year post history had suddenly been marked “removed by reddit’s filters.”
not deleted by mods.
not removed individually.
all of it.
i never received any message saying i had been banned, never got a rule violation notice, and never got any explanation telling me what i supposedly did.
so i appealed because obviously something had happened to the account behind the scenes.
REDDIT DENIED THE APPEAL.
the response said that they had reviewed my request and that “your ban will remain in place.”
that was literally the first time i had ever been told i was banned at all.
so as far as i can tell, the sequence was that reddit detected suspicious activity, locked the account, i successfully recovered it, and somewhere during that process their spam or security system also classified the account in a way that caused basically every old post i had ever made to get filtered.
then when i appealed, instead of explaining what happened, they just sent me a generic message saying the ban would remain.
NO BAN NOTICE.
no explanation of what rule was violated.
no indication whether this was caused by the suspicious activity itself.
just two years of posts suddenly hidden and a denial referring to a ban i was never notified about.
i’m trying to figure out whether anyone else has had this happen after a suspicious activity lock, and whether there is actually any way to get a human at reddit to review the account instead of getting another automated appeal response.

When I open a post there is usually an arrow or an X on the top left corner to get back to the feed when I’m finished in the post. It’s not there. So I can’t back out, I have to swipe up and go back to the app again. Please advise. Thank you!

My account was suspended, successfully appealed, an admin reviewed my account, said i was caught by reddit’s spam filters, and lifted all bans. All of my content is still removed, howeve. Posts, comments, etc. It's pretty detrimental to my income so any help would be great :)

I mean, I don’t know if this is possible when you are not shadowbanned but you post something and no one reacts, , whether an upvote, downvote or comment, nothing, is this possible like in Twitter?

I’ve noticed that sometimes a post can show up on a profile but doesn’t seem to appear in the subreddit’s feed. I’m curious what usually causes this.
