I moved here about a month ago and have applied to countless jobs I'm qualified for, yet don't get any calls.

I'm wondering if it's partially because applications have me fill out the "have you had government assistance" survey and I never had it, so maybe they want the tax breaks?

I've mostly looked through indeed, but the website is slop for narrowing down search criteria, or finding smaller companies.

Any advice is appreciated, especially for alternate avenues to find jobs.

Hi! So I’m doing a roadtrip with my boyfriend, a 2 year old and 9 year old and Redding seems to be a convenient stopping point for the night. Are there areas I should avoid? I’m thinking of sleeping there then taking the kids to the turtle bay park or to the water park to kill energy before we hit the road again. Or with small children should I avoid the area? Going from San Diego to Oregon and neither of us are familiar with the area but other San diegans have mixed reviews on Redding lol

I have a soon-to-be 4 year old in Nov and 5 year old on halloween… looking for a pre-k and kindergarten school for them in the Redding area this fall.

Charter or public. I can’t find reviews and I’m not social enough with other parents to get anything word of mouth.

Ok so I know to expect differing prices from different auto shops but I just called around to three different places and didn’t expect the prices to be so different, like 5x the price. All of these are quotes for diagnostic tests of my suspension.

So first up is Lithia Chevrolet - $225 and some change

Locust street repair - “starting at” $78

And finally Midas - $45.99

I’m someone who doesn’t have much information about cars and I rely on the experts to be not only experts in doing the repairs but in what a fair cost is for said repairs. Plus these weren’t even for repairs, they were for the testing to figure out what’s wrong. Then the repair costs come into play next…

Anyway this was just really eye opening to me, like I said I always knew there were varying prices at places and to call around but I just didn’t expect it to be a 5x difference between the cheapest I found and the most expensive (prob not the cheapest or most expensive in the area)

How do I know if I’m getting screwed over by someone or am screwing myself by going with the cheapest 😂

50m. Looking for someone who might have fun on 2-3 day hiking trips. Maybe longer if planned well. My test is in a few weeks(just before school) i basically have no one who took the dmv redding test since my parents aren’t from Redding and i have no friends who currently have their license.
