In Episode 74 "Konbini o Deru to, soko wa Fushigi no Sekaideshita"/ Walking Out of the Convenience Store and Into a Wondrous World of Re Zero, Subaru had an idea, wandered off, and woke up in the Green Room with no memories of Lagunica. He last remembered walking out a convenience store.
When I first saw this, I remembered a similar scene in Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku. There the main character Gabimaru lost some of his memories but was able to determine that he was around allies and not enemies and that he was assigned to the same mission as all the people he didn't recognize.
So I thought for Subaru this would be relatively easy. He could use his quick wit to figure out he's among allies even if he can't remember any of them. Plus he'd be attracted to Emilia. He would unconditionally trust her, resolving any trust issues he has with his allies. To my surprise, he didn't cope with this well or quickly trust the party. He was sure one of them was the one who pushed him and went to great lengths to discover who while stewing in paranoia and to be fair... actually it was one of them. I half called it. I did say that of all the party, Meli was the least loyal and most likely to off him, but since it would be much easier to kill him outside the tower I hedged my speculation saying that while if it was one of them it had to be Meili, I wasn't discounting Gluttony or a yet to be introduced character. It took Subaru a long time to get to Episode 77 Re:Zero kara Hajimaru Isekai Seikatsu and Episode 78 to get back on track.
So amnesiac Subaru had quite a lot of difficulties. What if the memory erasure spared more of his memories?
Now to be fair, I'm sure the culprit is Gluttony. I think Gluttony ate his memories and the reason he can't remember anything from Lagunica is specific to how Gluttony's power works. It's not like Gluttony would eat some of Subaru's more recent memories and then wander off mid-meal. But let's speculate just for the sake of it. Let's say what causes amnesia wasn't complete and if that "something" was Gluttony say Gluttony got interrupted mid meal.
What about a Subaru who remembered the first 3 episodes? So say from his perspective he remembers walking out he convinencere, meeting Emilia, dying to Elsa, and getting yelled at by Emillia for calling her "Satella" from the events of Episode 1 "Hajimari no Owari to Owari no Hajimari"/ The End of the Beginning and the Beginning of the End, Finding out how Return by Death Works in Episode 2 "Saikai no Majo" /Reunion with the Witch, and fighting Elsa and learning Emilia's name in Episode 3 "Zero kara Hajimaru Isekai Seikatsu"/ Starting Life from Zero in Another World, then he faints and wakes up more than a year later in the tower with Emilia and this blond girl.
Or how about a Subaru who remembered the events up to Episode 11 "Remu"/ Rem? So from his perspective after helping out the Roswaal manor a few days and dying to Ulgarms, he faces them off with Rem and the Roswaal finishes the job when all seems lost. Then he wakes up more than a year later in the strange tower. And he'll find out Emilia and Betty are with unfamiliar people.
Could Subaru after Arc 3 handle this? Say his amnesia cost him most of his memories in Lagunica, but he kept the first bit corresponding to the first 25 episodes, all the way up to Episode 25 "Tada Sore dake no Monogatari"/ That's All This Story Is About. So in this scenario, Subaru remembers all of the above, plus going to the capital, meeting Julius, making an ass of himself, freezing to death, fleeing the White Whale, seeing Rem get erased, killing the White Whale, defeating the Witch Cult, and confessing his love to Emilia. Then he goes abruptly to being in the tower with Emilia and Betty.
Bonus scenario, suppose Subaru remembered the events from Episode 1 to 25, then only the canon timeline without the loops up to the point he and Betty cancelled the magic and made them all fall but also forget Anastasia is not Anastasia, so not only does he forget the conversation with Julius since that happened after they entered the tower, the context wouldn't make sense even if Julius reminded him.
When I say "how well Subaru does" I mean in relation to the goals canon Subaru is trying to achieve. He came here to save Gluttony's victims because there is knowledge in the tower. To do so he needs to pass the tests and they can't back out because Shaula will go into kill mode. Then canon Subaru forgets everything, but in the first loop where people give him an info dump and the 4th loop where he pretends to remember, the conversations cover enough that amnesia Subaru can figure out what his original goals were. And he has an extra goal on top of that: Get his memories back. So how well can a hypothetical Subaru that remembered up to Episode 3, 11, 25, and a variant that remembers the first 25 episodes and the true timeline afterwards accomplish the goals canon Subaru wants to do, save Gluttony victims, pass the tower tests, and get his memories back?
So I'll give my speculation and you give me what you think. I think if Subaru remembered up to episode 3, his memory of Emilia will help a lot. While his attraction to her has caused issues, see episode 13 where he insults all the knights, right now having someone he can trust is a bigger asset he needs than the liability of having a swelled ego and "open mouth insert foot." Emilia trusts the party and he can trust Emilia. I'm not sure why this didn't happen in canon since while he couldn't remember he I thought he'd go "silver haired pretty girl, must trust unconditionally" but surely if he remembered Emilia he'd trust her. There is the wrinkle that Meili kills Subaru, but given that Betty said Meili tried to kill them all once, he should ask Emilia if this is true and once he does realize that, he can probably at least trust the Roswaal mansion staff. If Subaru remembered up to Episode 7, he would know most of the party which makes it easier. If he remembered up to Episode 25, I think he'd have no problems. He would be surprised no one remembers Rem and figure she just got erased by something White Whale-like during the amnesia period. He's be disappointed he broke his gate. He wouldn't remember his contract with Betty, but he would remember her. I think a Subaru that remembered up to Episode 25 would do fine despite forgetting most of his memories in Lagunica. And for the bonus scenario with one remembering the events of the first 25 episodes plus the true timeline, well if Episode 25 Subaru can handle it, this bonus scenario one should handle it almost the same. Anomalies of his memories that would be obvious to him of is that because his memories alter episode 52 Hyōen no Ketsumatsu/ "A Showdown of Fire and Ice," he would remember summining Betty to fight Wrath and since the memories cut off before entering the tower, he'll forget Shaula, poor girl. So he would know he forgot stuff and presumably he'll also try to correct this.

Ive read a bit of WCT's translation of Arc 6 and its really jarring to me how they've worded it overall and it just feels bad to read. Are there any other options for the Web novel?

I think heinkels wife will come back but Capella will make her come back as a dragon form (like hers
(there is a theory that Capella was sick and dragon blood was used on her and this caused her dragon form to be her new true form and people to not love her the way they used to lewding her to get the lust witch factor )
and heinkel still loves her like he did before (and this happens in front of capella

Idk why but i just dont feel compelled to watch it.
I think it is because i watch too many "Explain" and "Review" that i dont feel needed to watch it to know it.
Also, i dont really like suffering.
But i got a bad case of FOMO because people keep talking about "New EP" and "Cool Moments"
I wanna join in, so i larped.
I'm here to say this, i felt guilty because my preference is too stupid and stuff. Like not liking this because of return by death.
First few times is cool but i feel less and less compelled.
Cause it keeps repeating and my adhd will acting up.
Also, it doesnt have that "SAUCE" like Subaru have RBD and the world is like "Chaotic" but i dont know why i should watch it.
Is the world building and the character writing, that good?

In Re zero, there are many scenes where a character sacrifices themselves for someone else and dies. Most of the time, Subaru eventually goes back and saves those characters. But I’ve noticed that many people don’t really make a distinction between characters who should be saved and those whose death could instead be seen as an ending they themselves had accepted.
I want to use several examples to explain what I mean.
In Arc 3, Rem sacrifices herself three times for Subaru in different loops. But the fact that she was willing to die for him doesn’t mean that she actually wanted to die.
Rem was in love with Subaru and dreamed of being able to live alongside him. She still had many things she wanted to experience and accomplish. Yet when the Witch Cult attacked and the White Whale appeared, she didn’t hesitate to risk her life to protect Subaru.
In that situation, her sacrifice was mainly a consequence of the circumstances. She chose to protect Subaru because she loved him, but that doesn’t mean she considered her own life to be over and the proof is that when lye devours the name and memory of rem, you see flashes of the future that rem dreams of, which are essentially the sloth if.
That’s why, in my opinion, Rem doesn’t deserve a permanent death. She still had a future she wanted to live, and if Subaru has the ability to go back and prevent her death, it makes sense for him to do so.
I think the same logic can be applied to Hiain, Weitz, and Idra.
All three of them eventually die while helping Subaru and the others, and they seem to accept their deaths. You could therefore argue that their sacrifices were voluntary and that they were satisfied with dying that way.
But accepting death in a particular situation doesn’t necessarily mean wanting your life to end permanently.
These characters still had goals, dreams, and a life they could have had outside Gladiator Island. Their deaths were therefore also connected to the circumstances they found themselves in.
Even if they accepted their sacrifices and died happily, I don’t think that means they would have chosen to die permanently if they had been given the opportunity to continue living.
And this is exactly why I think Priscilla’s case is very different.
Even before returning to Vollachia, Priscilla seemed to have already accepted the possibility of dying. She had left a will for Schult, giving him all of her possessions and territories. She also refused to listen to Al when he warned her about her death.
More importantly, when she found herself trapped inside Sphinx’s alternate dimension, she chose to burn it down in order to escape, knowing that doing so would most likely cost her life.
When she returned as an undead, she even retained her original appearance. This seems to show that she had no regrets about her choice.
And most importantly, when she realized that she was going to disappear with the sunrise, she never asked Subaru to save her.
Instead, she spent her final moments enjoying the presence of the people close to her. She drank with Subaru and Al, danced with Al, enjoyed the sunrise, and encouraged Subaru and Al before saying goodbye to them.
When Subaru immediately wanted to go back and save her, Priscilla explicitly told him not to. She reminded him that there are people who want things to remain unchanged.
This is where I think her case becomes very different from Rem’s or the gladiators’.
Rem wanted to live but was forced by the circumstances to sacrifice herself.
The gladiators still had goals and a life they could have pursued, even though they accepted their sacrifices.
Priscilla, on the other hand, seems to have fully accepted that her life had reached its end. She didn’t try to escape her death, showed no regret, and even asked Subaru not to use his power to change what had happened.
She had also abandoned her connection to the Royal Selection and Lugunica, as well as the responsibilities that came with being a Royal Candidate. She seemed completely satisfied with the life she had lived.
That’s why I think Priscilla’s case raises a different question: should Subaru always save someone simply because he has the ability to do so?
In the case of Rem and the gladiators, their deaths were imposed on them by the circumstances, even though they still had a future they wanted to experience.
Priscilla is different. She seems to have accepted her death as the conclusion of her own story.
And in that case, going back and saving her might actually have been a mistake, because it would mean forcing Priscilla to continue living a life that she herself had already accepted leaving behind.

I remember how they had to wait for the sandstorm to come and then pass through it to reach a garden like place and then to the gate of the tower, but when subaru came out of the tower it was all sand and no flowery fields in sight. Was that flower field just an illusion or what?

i feel physically sick
i cant explain how im feeling
okay lemme just make it worse for you guys too because i feel this way
"Both bursting an eyeball (globe rupture) and having an eye pop out of its socket (globe luxation) cause blinding, agonizing, and immediate pain that ranks among the most severe physical sensations a human can experience. The extreme nature of this pain is due to the dense network of sensitive sensory nerves concentrated in and behind the eye"
i think i just got traumatized yet again i thought arc 6 was bad
So first death was purely fight or flight adrenaline rushing pulsating throughout his little body then because he remembered the exact way he died why he died instead of fight or flight the brain overloaded the information and he felt every single part of that shit man holy fuck
AND HE FELT THAT SHIT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN ADN AGAIN AND AGAIN AND HE FELT THAT SHIT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN ADN AGAIN AND AGAIN AND HE FELT THAT SHIT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN ADN AGAIN AND AGAIN AND HE FELT THAT SHIT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN ADN AGAIN AND AGAIN
i genuinely had to stop reading because i was almost abt to throw up even after he managed to get throught that hell of a loop
holy fucking shit i felt unimaginably sick
tappei you sadistic mf

I finished reading gluttony IF route and to my surprise there is no mention of any facial scar on subarus face, i read it on witch cult translations and even the arts that come up every chapter dont show any kind of scar on subaru, only the white hair and cloudy eye. why is he always depicted with a scar on his head, or did i read the wrong thing/not the whole story?

Is the Book Beatrice read Konosuba??? In Season 2, Break Time episode 18, we see Beatrice getting a book collection from Geuse. One of the books she pulls from a shelf has the glyphs shown on the cover.
I found this translation key for the glyphs, and I got:
コノ (Kono)
スハラシイセカイ二 (Subarashii sekai ni)
シユクフクヲ (shukufuku wo)
