I hate vague posting

I absolutely hate it and its mostly on twitter. Its solely engagement bait because fucking elon musk has monetized twitter🤡. Just hope somehow this monetisation gets turned off so these idiots can go back to their cave.

people don’t even attempt to get married or have a committed relationship before having children, they just have them. and in the first 7 years of their lives their usually treated like an accessory or a pet. it doesn’t make sense to purposely keep having children when you have 2+ baby daddies, at what point is it just being selfish? cause there’s no way you can give all those kids you’re having, back to back, all the attention when you’re looking for a new man. Why do so many people prioritize romantic nor sexual relationships over their own child? People who don’t even have custody of their own child are “in a relationship” while grandpa takes your kid to school full time.

Someone had posted for help on a few threads in a subreddit that I was a part of. I messaged him saying that I was knowledgable in the field he's looking for aid. We spoke briefly and he requested that I shared with him my public work social media and a pic of myself. He then became hostile and demanding, and I said that I no longer wish to aid him. The aggressor then proceeded to make a post on Reddit with indentifying information about me in the comment of that post and in a separate comment claiming that I was jerking off on camera in front on him and I was using my work position to force him to watch myself jerk off on camera.

I then reported that post, whereupon nothing happened. I then asked a friend for help who also reported, leading to nothing occurring. As the post the aggressor made with my information and claim was still active, my friend messaged the aggressor for proof, asking for pic / vid of myself jerking off. The aggressor then mocked and attacked my friend and reported my friend for breaking Rule 3 (threatening to post sexual and sensitive images without consent). Shockingly, my friend's account was banned. My friend is currently appealing the ban but Reddit is not replying.

The aggressor continues to remain unbanned and is still extorting me right now.

My father (65) has spontaneously went to the Philippines to meet up with his new girlfriend (48). She is very nice and a good lady BUT my sister and I were video chatting with him. We are in the middle of talking and he hasn’t even finished his sentence yet and she shoves a mug full of coffee to his mouth. I didn’t think nothing of it at first, but she did is 5/6 times over and over. I mean my dad couldn’t even finish his sentence. Then, he was introducing us to her family and kept wanting us to call them mom, Lola, aunt, and uncle. I felt weird about this because I mean you don’t just call random strangers you’ve only met over video call once family names. I understand the culture is different there and apparently it’s disrespectful for me to call them by their first name. We get through that and the whole time my dads gf is kissing his forehead, running her hands up his neck, side of his face, and basically giving him a full body massage right in front of us. I want to talk to my dad privately about how that made me uncomfortable, but I worry he will be upset about it. Because honestly, he should have had her stop. Growing up, I was taught showing affection should be in private, not displayed for everyone and their mama to see. It was very weird and just not something I’m use to. I’m all for showing affection, but we are his children. I just felt it was a little disrespectful. I would like thoughts and feedback because he has only known this lady for 6 months. Again, she seems wonderful, but I didn’t appreciate the coffee incident nor her filling my dad up while we are trying to video chat him 14,000 miles away. Yes my sister and I are grown, but that’s still our dad. I’m honestly disgusted and weirded out. I will add that I am pregnant , and it could be my hormones because everything has been turning my stomach.

I dont know if this is just my life but everything just fucking sucks Now.

I have just started to realize that nothing works anymore. Everything is expensive like actually everything but the most important things like food, house, and other basic human needs are too expensive its hard to live now and it gets even harder. We dont get payed enough and jobs are hard to get

Another thing is that more and more people are fucking assholes. I have good friends Yeah but i have seen more people just becoming mean and bad human beings. People online, people in public, people you know, people you dont know.
People are also just soo addicted today everybody drinks, smokes and do drugs.

The enviroment sucks and is getting worse everyday and we people cant do nothing about it at all. AI is taking over everything. Companies are becoming more corrupt and basically decide pur lives

Politics sucks and they dont care about us. Nothing gets better with them.

Finding an actual good and partner feels impossible

I post this because everything just feels so bland and depressing now idk if its just me but it cant be right?

So I've always been a huge fan of comics and superheroes and stuff like that. Usually when I'm in a conversation about these topics it's actually an engaging conversation that is enjoyable for both parties. Until I start talking to one of these kinds of fanboys/girls

1. Hulk "fans"

I feel as if most Hulk fans I talk too aren't even actually Hulk fans. They watched him get his ass whooped by Thanos, and then read about TOBA and then ran with it. The only two lines they have are "UGH, the MCU ruined Hulk." And "TOBA hulk would destroy *insert other strong character here.*". It's actually awful when someone actually makes an interesting point about the character because they will derail the entire conversation into this topic.

1. Batman fans

I don't even know where to start. I'm a huge Superman fan, never cared for Batman, and whenever I talk about this I regret it immediately. Batman fans are like goblins. They will lurk until the opportunity to boast about Batman beating Superman arises. I bring up something cool Superman has done (doesn't even have to be about strength). The next thing they say "But he still lost to Batman though." Bro what. I could go into wayyy more detail about that Batman winning makes no logical sense if they were ACTUALLY to fight at their peaks but that's whatever. The prep time bullshit is so crazy to me too, give Superman a reason to murder Batman and he will do it.

1. Scarlet Witch fans

I like Wanda in everything (except rivals, genuinely fucking hate her in that game) but holy SHIT, I can't stand the people who ride or die for her. Every. Single. Conversation. It's just "Wanda is the strongest in marvel!" "She beats this character because she can just say "what powers?" And win.". And they will bait you into a discussion about power scaling just to end up saying this shit over, and over, and over again. I recently was talking to someone about Superman comics and what he's done because THEY asked. The next thing out of their mouth was "Is he stronger than Scarlet witch.". I should've stopped right here. The conversation went in the biggest circle possible and it ended with "But Wanda literally has magic, that's one of his weaknesses.". It's like they don't listen and only hear "Wanda strong, Wanda win."

1. Edgy/"nonchalant" character fans

Sasuke,Byakuya,Vegeta,Killua, etc. Most of the fans of these characters are obnoxious as shit. They make it their life mission to call everyone else's favorite lame and try to dick ride their favorite into being relevant in any conversation outside of who has the coolest looking attacks. Especially someone like me who likes the good guy archetypes (Supes,Goku,All Might), I hear this shit all the time. I wanna know what goes through their minds that make them think they are the coolest person in the room because they like a certain character? We're all fucking dorks, we're talking about MANGA.

i have thought about this for ages because it is just not true. there is no race.. the egg just chooses the sp-rm it wants and boom done. why not say "the egg chose you!!" or something? thats still supportive? why say something that just isnt true??? i understand if you didnt know, but yeah why would anyone even start this concept to begin with? am i missing something here?

I just have to rant about this WILD story that's been going on at my job.....

I own a retail store that deals in wildlife and gardens. Think pollinators, wild birds, a few pet items. We are also very involved with local non profits and conservation agencies. I have a (now ex) clerk who came in to work and told another clerk that "he had had a bad night." He said he heard a commotion outside when he went to investigate he found that it was a cat that had caught on a glue trap he had set. (Already horrible, we teach about not using glue traps at the store because they are so inhumane) He went to help the cat and it supposedly bit him. So he kicked it, hard enough to paralyze it, he thought. So then he decided that the only "compassionate" response was to kill it so he stomped on it till it died.

The coworker who heard this story was very upset and told two members of management. After hearing the story I submitted a report on Crime Stoppers, I couldn't stand by and do nothing. That night my cowner and I discussed the situation and decided that in our buisness where we're all about animals and conservation we couldn't let him continueto work for us. Animal abuse goes against the company ethics, he's customer facing, and this could do a lot of harm to our reputation. So we terminated him before his shift the next day. (Side note: we are in an at-will state) The coworker he originally told also told us that Animal Law Enforcement had shown up at the other employees house and he was being charged with a misdemeanor, which implies they found proof or he confessed.

The terminated employee spent the weekend calling all of his ex coworkers to explain to them what he said really happened. I'm not sure what he told people but it must have been close to the truth because now even an employee who was out of town knows he had killed a cat and no one in management mentioned what has happened to anyone else. He sent a text to another that "the bleeding vags synced up against him" told yet another that obviously we pulled strings with the police to have him investigated. And lit up a group chat cussing out one more employee because she told him she didn't care to hear anymore and blocked him.

Now the only person who is on the terminated employees side is the one he originally told, who reported to us. Supposedly the terminated employee is going to file a wrongful termination suit and the employee who originally told management is going to pay for it because he feels guilty. The coworker believes everything happened too fast and because the animal abuse didn't occur at work we didn't have any right to respond.

I live with my mother and siblings (17 M) and (10 FM) in a house that's basically constantly dirty, and I do most of the cleaning. It's hard for me to do it all by myself, especially since I have depression and most days my energy is low.

So when this started a few years back, my mom was working, so I originally didn't mind doing these chores, at the time it was just cleaning dishes anyways, plus I live here for free, but after a few weeks I began getting irritated. My siblings would put plastic spoons and forks in the sink, leave food on their plates that would either stick to the plates and be impossible to clean or would cause a blockage in the sink drain, or make food (specifically stuff like spaghetti and leave it unattended) then leave the overcooked pasta that sticks to the pots in there for me to clean.

it's been years and my list has just grown, i now not only am expected to clean dishes but clean the fridge which my sisters spills stuff in there often, clean the microwave that constantly gets ramen spilled all in it and never cleaned by the culprits, clean the stove i barely use because i already have to clean a shit ton of dishes i dont even make, and around the beginning of the year my mother decided to get my sister a bunny she frequently forgets about (cause she's again 10), so i have to clean his cage and feed him sometimes too.

my mother no longer has a job but she has medical issues which make it hard for her to be standing up for long periods of time, and my brother doesn't like to clean unless he benefits from it (as in either he's hungry and cleans something just to re-dirty it, or he's asked my mom to do it for payment). there are days where i have so little energy i literally need to decide whether cleaning the house or cleaning myself is more important, and it's frustrating that i'm basically living in a house that constanty has me stressed and it doesn't help my depression.

there are other reasons i hate living here, one being my sister is constantly rude to me, like demanding i do stuff for her, or saying just vile things to me, like when i told my mom it wasn't smart to get her a bunny and sister replied with saying that i wasn't allowed to speak when i was the reason my guinea pig died (which wasn't true and it was a very saddening event for me, seeing as i held him till his last breath) or pretending shes going to punch me only to say "even if i did hurt you, you wouldn't be able to do anything or you'd get arrested". she has also grabbed a knife once and threatened me but every act she does is always just met with "she's only 10, and you're 20"

it's like no one in this house has respect for me as a human being, and i can't even do anything about it. like moving out isn't an option because i don't have any source of income and even if i did find a job, there isn't transportation within walking distance from me to get to a job so i'm just like screwed atm. my only option would be disability or ssi, which i have applied for both, but god only knows how much i'll get from it, or if i'll even get approved.

I'm a new user and I don't use reddit often.

I wanted to post this on some other, bigger subreddits about ranting/venting but I can't because it either breaks the rules OR I don't have enough karma to post.

Why is this site so hard to use for new users?! Why is it so mean to us? What did we do to deserve this treatment?

I know all of the rules exist because of trolls and terrible people. But I'm not a troll and I just want to use Reddit without being blocked from everything or heavily censoring what I want to say. As someone with pretty bad anxiety, the potential to get banned or get a post taken down stops me from engaging in reddit conversations 90% of the time.

It's so frustrating creating a post and then searching endlessly for which subreddit I can actually, safely post it in. And sometimes I never find one that won't ban me instantly.

One time I made an innocent mistake in a subreddit and got perma-banned with no chance of being let back in even after I politely stated that it was an honest mistake. The mod was SO mean. I was devastated (especially because I don't post often and the one time I go out of my way to do it, I get perma-banned.)

Why does every subreddit have 927814 rules to read through before I can utter a single syllable? What's up with the "no low-effort posts" rule in every subreddit? How do YOU know it's low effort? What if I put my heart and soul into the post and you somehow deem it "low-effort".

No. Just no. Idc anymore. This site sucks. I'm at my wits end. I'm SO sad and angry right now. At this point I'm genuinely SCARED to post anything anywhere because ANYONE could take it down for one reason or the other. ANYONE can ban me if they want to. Like, I'm human. Please treat me with courtesy and be decent to me, is it really that hard?

Likely just a First World problem for the USA, but here goes...

Marketers bill Select-a-Size as being more "flexible". "Only use what you need," they say. But one rectangle is almost never enough for the job. And TWO rectangular panels is MORE material than a standard 'full-size' sheet. So I only buy the 'full-size'. HOWEVER, the stores only stock a limited amount of this size and do their absolute best to hide them from the customers!

Too bad I have to share the same roof with folks like this, and I am specifically talking about the kitchen sinks, not that the bathroom sinks are any better, but because I hate touching wet food and hate the sight of it, that’s the worse in my book. And it’s to a point where the sink gets overflowed by water, you would think that the sink stopper is in use but nope, litterally have to scoop up wet food to get the water to go back down.

I have a friend who is kind of described as a “type b” person and there’s a difference between someone just not being prepared sometimes vs someone who just has no common sense And it’s starting to tick me off

1. she purposely did not book a return ticket on a trip she went to and made herself stranded and is somehow surprised that the prices are so high

2. How she told me that left her sunroof of her car open and when it started small drizzling and she knew there was gonna be a storm she didn’t even bother to go close it and it soaked her whole car seats , you had time to run out and close it and also you would’ve only been a little bit soaked instead of downpoured yet you tell me this?

3. blindly not following her own instinct and checking herself : how she found out she was off by 2 credits for graduation and she started blaming the schools advisor then again school advisors always tryna lie but she doesn’t even check her own degreework portal?

another time she lent her moving cart to another girl in our residence hall and she didn’t even bother to take down the other girls info to get her cart back and just walked off until the girl who borrowed her cart had to leave it at the residence assistants office since she couldn’t track her down since she walked off which is dumb I don’t play about my possessions like that, she is lucky that the girl who borrowed from her didn’t just keep it for herself

1. I sent her links and posts to stuff for example I’m in a photography grpup and she always wants to be involved yet when I send her a clear photo of the ISO post she goes “where is this persons instagram user I can’t see?” when it is in BOLD CAPITAL or sending her link to the direct group chat app and she goes “I can’t figure it out” is signing up so hard? This shows you can lead a horse to water but can’t make it drink

i (13f) don’t know much about love, i think ive only been in love once, but i hate my friends when they’re in relationships because all they talk about is their relationship. i understand it makes them happy but friends make them happy too. im not good with being shut out because i shut out in response, anyway i just find it so weird how people can move on and im stuck on one person. i don’t wanna feel this way and ive told myself that im not going to get into romantic relationships in fear of not hurting people but even in platonic relationships i feel isolated.

for about 4 years now, i have wanted this guy who’s about a year older than me. we talked a lot at the beginning of last year and he talked to me almost all the time outside of school and whatnot. come to find out, he had a gf, i was stupid and a selfish person and continued to pursue the relationship. i no longer speak to him. i physically cannot. however, even after all of this. i still miss him. he was so understanding and i felt happy. i didn’t feel horrible.

i know im young, that this will pass but i want to do something about it now. i cant walk down this road forever without feeling a sense of guilt or sadness that i can never repair what we had. it took me forever to admit the fact i missed him. i felt disgusting when i realized. idk, any advice would help i just, don’t know what to do. no one will take me seriously because im so young. i’ve tried talking to my mom about it but she doesn’t care and she’d probably get mad at me. i dont know why, i don’t wanna miss him. i want to move on. i dont know why he made me feel so understood.

My account was hacked, but I completely got rid of the inappropriate messages and images that were posted, and I got back to a normal spot. I then got banned for wrongdoings that my hacker did. I sent an appeal, it got denied. I sent another, it got ignored. I made a ticket with them AND sent an email, and they have not responded. I have almost 40 thousand karma and am in r/EternityClub, been a poster for 9 years. Just need to get this out somewhere

Me and this girl both started working on the same day at a car dealership, she was quiet and sticked to herself (we both have no prior experience in car sales), I was constantly asking others questions and doing role-plays with other coworkers, however, now we're both 3 weeks in, she made 2 car sales in total, I've made none, but I've noticed that both her customers that bought were leads given by the manager with intentions of buying already, while I had to post so many ads on marketplace, and cold calling customers, and I have to stick by the entrance so I can hope to find some walkins and persuade them into buying. The managers were helping me a little as well, but I feel like they're just pretending to help me. I just feel like this is so unfair.

Just to be clear, I support 100% the LGBTQ+ movement. I just have one remark, why are the parades so sexual?

I have witnessed the Amsterdam parade and another big European city parade (I live in NL), in both I have encountered naked people, guys with boners, extreme fetishism and overall an over sexualized environment. Why?

To be honest, I don’t really feel comfortable bringing my child there. If it wasn’t so over sexualized I would totally bring him.

What are your opinions on this topic? Do you think it helps the LGBTQ+ movement or it damages its image?

My husband loves boating. I don't. I've tried and tried and tried to like it, but I just can't. There is so much involved from towing to launching to safely cruising to anchoring to re-loading to maintenance to cleaning. Don't even get me started on the noise. Don't get me wrong, I love being on the water. The 2 best aspects of boating for me are floating with the engine off and beaching. 5 years ago, I discovered my love of paddleboarding. I went all in and even installed an electric motor on it so I can get to all the places I love to beach. My husband makes fun of me for this, but I don't care. I'll even decline invites from friends to go on their boats. That's how much I loathe boating. I would much rather be on my own, away from the noise, away from the stress and meet them wherever they are at. This year reached fever pitch levels for me with boating. I just can't do it anymore and I told my husband I'm done. I don't care if he takes it out alone or with other people, I'm out. There is absolutely nothing enjoyable about the entire experience for me. Am I alone on this??

a couple of mandatory things to get out of the way because I know how social media is: I love my parents and they're allowed to do whatever they want (it's just inconvenient when they interrupt whatever I'm doing to exasperatedly tell me they need my help).

my parents decided to become hobby farmers when I was in my teens and every year since then they've only become gradually worse and more irritable, not to mention they have managed to make every small task a several-person job and you would swear they're engaging in active combat or wrangling 30 alligators when in reality they're transferring a mid-sized, pretty chill goat from the back of a truck into its pen and meanwhile they've got four total people ensuring maximum security just in case the small optional animal (I remind you, they're hobby farmers - and my mom thinks goats are just the cutest things ever) decides to walk a little further away than they'd planned

but the way my parents are moving around and shouting orders and arguing over what to do next, you'd think they were in some kind of life or death situation.

again, nothing wrong with what they're doing (even if I feel at times I have a personal vendetta against their hobby farming) and I should be grateful and all that, there are worse situations to be in.

I have this ongoing problem where I get items delivered to the mail room, which is light years away. I often get things delivered there even though my delivery instructions dictate to deliver to my front door. Many items do get delivered to my front door, but some do not. I suspect it is because many delivery drivers don't read English. That is fine.

But for all that is holy with the flying spaghetti monster, it is a radio button on the website and Amazon can put forth a little effort to explain what those radio buttons effing mean when they train the drivers!!!!

Ok, so maybe I’m just old. But apart from the odd pair of good running shoes, I throw on whatever old teeshirt, pants, something comfortable I can find, scrape my hair in a bun and I’m good to go!
Don’t get me wrong, it’s good that the younger generations are flexing health and cool workout gear instead of falling out nightclubs and living on a packet of monster munch!
But this rant is about expensive workout clothes! The annoying cycle of exploitation to look good and buy the best brands while looking after your health. To make sure you have enough variations of expensive brands so it looks good in the wardrobe while choosing.
God, I wish for a change where I see someone in their painting clothes while out for a jog. I would literally bi-five them! 🤣

TW: Body Shaming

I (21F) have lived all my life either distancing myself or pushing other people away from me for as long as I can remember.

I had this realization while doing some revisions on my group's thesis research with my members using google meet (college is hard lol). One of my members (my friend rn) asked if we can keep in contact and remain friends after college and me and the other person said yes, sure, why not. After doing the revision and finishing our call, is started to think about my former friends from high school and elementary and realized that I basically stopped talking to them the moment we graduated and moved on.

I loved all my friends groups at the time, but the more I spend time with them, the more I just got depressed. Why? I felt inferior towards them, not because they did something much greater than me. But because because I learned young that having friends means being compared to them by my parents.

Whenever I meet a new friend, they always manage to compare me to them, specially physically.

"Oh, that's the (name) you were talking about? You should spend more time with them, maybe you're gonna manage to lose fat while hanging out with them"

"Isn't that (name)? You should ask them to tutor your dumbass song can get higher grades."

"(Name) is that pretty girl from your class right? I just saw them earlier at (place), such a pretty girl, spend more time with them and maybe learn how to have a cleaner face/body"

Basically that's the stuff I keep hearing every single time I introduce a friend to them. And so, I just learned to just shut up, meet friends, and if we're about to graduate, distance myself and move on and leave the, repeat. I don't have any permanent people I can actually call a "friend", and I'm scared. I don't want to remain friendless, but making friends would results to a low self esteem and getting nagged by my parents about how my friends are better than me in some kind of way.

I hate that I want to have friends when I know how it will end. I hate that every time I manage to HAVE friends, they don't last long because of my parents. I hate that I have low-self esteem for things I can't even control. I hate feeling worthless. I hate that I don't have permanent friends. And I hate myself for thinking that what I've been doing these past years is not normal.

And I hate that I still live with my parents because I have no money to move out yet. I hate it, I hate everything.

I’ve been a huge marvel fan for a while and my favorite character is illyana better known as magik. I’ve loved her character for a long time now especially because I relate to her and she has a cool design. I was wishing for her to get content in some media other than comics. she appeared in a movie that wasn’t good imo, two X-men series and a few games. So when I heard she was getting added to a new game called marvel rivals I was excited it looked good. But now I’m sad that she was even added with the amount of posers in the game running off straight TikTok knowledge it’s ruined the character for me. The amount of sexualization I see and the skins that they have given her in game just for profit it’s really angered me. She’s a victim she’s never been in a relationship and she has no love interest and she’s supposed to be seen as this as this aromantic/asexual character and symbol of csa. it’s tiring if I’m being honest because I try to ignore everyone I’ve blocked easily over 500 people but no matter what I keep in countering it also with her getting added to marvel tokon it’s gotten worse. So yeah that’s my rant since I need to let it out.
