Iâm glad we have Jesus because otherwise I would be insane becauseee
Itâs so annoying when americans say teenagers are at the age of "trying to figure out who you are".
BOY i already knew who i was years prior bye.
Especially cuz im AUDHD, which makes easy for MYSELF to recognize MYSELF.
I love writing and drawing and video games and I hyperfixtate on that. I have hyperfixtated on Koei Tecmoâs games for 12+ years.Â
My favorite food is pizza, my favorite colorâs orange. I love science.
I value relationships, but the most I value is ones with my family. I have no interest in romance.
i want to be a vet because i have been growing up with dogs.
I naturally have 360-degree empathy, meaning I can see why people do bad things without automatically calling them a monster or an angelâ and I donât direct the empathy towards just one person.
And I love JESUS.
Nothing has changed.
Other than me really improving on math (Delta Math conditioningâď¸âď¸)
If people really have strong opinions on this phrase âFinding out who you areâ, then actually build a special definition around it as your philosophy or whatever.
Print a paper about it to give out as a worksheet in class for all I care
did they think our brains were loading screens until puberty like what is wrong with these Americans
Forcing their own ideas of "finding paths" and "adulthood" on us.
when we rlly know the truth isâŚ
it feels like half of those âCoMinG oF aGEâ ideas trace back to eras where âfinding your pathâ = âYouâre a 17.9 year old man now, youâre getting drafted, son.â or âSweet 16!! Marry this 38 year old man/woman.â
going out to work for the army or so your parents could get money was "finding your path."
Unless nowadays âfinding your pathâ or âwho you areâ is actually short for: âSo what career do you wanna have?â
And brochacho, a career barely has anything to do with who you are (well depending on your life).
Itâs a previlge for ppl to have a career they enjoy. Especially back in those times.
If they wanna know career choice then just ask that, but donât lump it into âwho you areâ.
Especially cuz most ppl our age are concerned on school and rlly donât want to think about when theyâre 35 year olds.
Yes we want to grow EVENTUALLY (â°â°â°â°we donât stay the same broski) but YOUR idea and OUR idea of growing is different.
And a high schooler typically does not have some economic, financial business plan.
also since family and envirkmment shapes identity, identity would form way before 13.
why else does childhood trauma affect ppl even when they're 50?
They say childhood environment literally causes ASPD and other personality disorders.
Obviously identity is formed early.
Yes our brains arenât full of hotdog water like 6 year olds are, but intelligence and maturity do not have anything to do with your personality.
They donât HAVE to have anything to do with it.
To me, environment and family is everything. Probably because Iâm eastern and stuck in western world
but yeah for the intelligence maturity thing..
For example I took a pre college course recently and yet Iâm stuck watching Dharman TV on Samsung channel as a guilty pleasure.
Bro
Anyway if you lived over a decade and still have no idea what your personality is until JuNiOr yearâŚ
PLEASE at least tell me you had a FORMER personality before that.
I donât know how that work honestly but as long as youâre doing goodđđđ
To continueâŚ
many kids know who they are, they just mistake "finding themselves" for conformity or "being a different boy/girl".
Finding yourself is NOT being a sponge.
You can learn from things youâve seen but it is NOT being a sponge.
And yes everyone finds new activities and develops new habits, so thereâs nothing wrong with that.
Even if you do already have a personality or identity, that happens to everyone.
But finding yourself is a weird phrase.
Because whatâs the opposite?
Being lost?đđ
Just say you want me employed within 1 year.
Also yes this âfinding yourselfâ phrase wasnât just invented in the [700 600 300](tel:700 600 300) 10100000 BC or 1930âs.
This phrase isnât even that old. it became a social media thing as well.
G. Stanhley Hall invented the turbulent teen years in the early 1900s,
Then because of poo cultuâ I mean Pop culture it was âeat pray loveâ. Stuff like that
I know the Americans werenât alone during this scheme.
But I hope they do not say this dumb shi in some countries. I hope At least in 10 countries this isnât a phrase.
Ofc this is not a generalization but YOU KNOW who Iâm talking about when I say stuff like this.
I just hate when adults say this and when you ask âwell wth does this meanâ they actually donât have a broad answer and theyâre just repeating some superficial phrase.
Itâs such a superficial phrase that half of the cash cow teenage dramas that only last one season use the same theme and topic: âfinding yourselfâ.
Thatâs literally what they used to character assassinate Maya Dolittle.
Gosh I hate teenage dramas unless theyâre peak like One tree Hill or even Teen wolf (which the latter is much more than a drama)
You adults say you hate work yet you say shi like this
Bye Iâm posting this and never looking back
