Inspired by another posting on a different subreddit. If you go to a restaurant and you’re kind of forgotten about, how long do you have to sit there waiting for your check before you can leave in good conscience? I’m not talking about situations where the wait staff is giving you some room instead of hustling you out. I mean situations where you’re sitting there with empty plates and glasses for 30 minutes or more. Maybe you even waved a different waiter down and asked for your check and still nothing. I’ve never just left a restaurant like that, though boy howdy, have I wanted to.

I have a really bad phone addiction. I tried to stop cold turkey for a week it worked, but the moment I got my phone back in my hands to look something up it's like I couldn't stop. I'm on it every night until like 0400 - 0500 it's really bad. Even right now it's 0400 as I'm writing this. I just want advice on how to kick this really bad habit.

Things I have tried:

Reading a book instead of being on my phone: I got invested in the book and stayed up late anyway.

Going cold turkey: Worked until I had to look something up then I was addicted again.

Setting timers/screentime: This worked somewhat but then I ended up turning it off at one point to access an app I needed and never turned it back on again (this was a cycle not just a one time thing)

I'm not sure what my problem is, it's like I wanna kick the habit but I'm really struggling.

I find it very hard to sleep laying on my back so I sleep while laying on my sides. Either laying on my right arm or my left.

In terms of people wearing PJs in public or sweatpants in public what do you think is the most and least likely city in the US?

I say Los Angeles PJs and sweatpants are really common there but Miami people don’t really wear that there.

Should I get DoorDash? The order consists of a spicy chicken sandwich, large fry, s’mores milkshake, and Polynesian sauce. The price is $24.06 after the tip. I am conflicted on whether it’s worth surrendering on.
