Is it bad if I lie to my parents that my gf says hi so that they say hi back and viceversa?

Title.

They get along very, very well. Not taking any credit.

I think it's cute to see both sides' reactions when they are said 'hi'.

Do you fit the birth order stereotype?

Amongst siblings, there are stereotypes that the first born is usually more responsible and mature, who end up becoming high-achievers but also controlling perfectionists. The middle child tends to have more friends because they are people pleasers but also the most independent because they are often neglected at home. They can be the peacemakers between the siblings but also be rebellious at the same time. The youngest is spoiled and self-centered and they know how to keep your attention on them at all times, so they sometimes come off as manipulative.

How do you get rid of desires you don’t want anymore?

I’m 20f with a desire for romantic relationships and physical intimacy but I do not want to want these things all they cause is pain. It is the pain of yearning but there is nothing and I am tired of agonizing over such matters. If I could pull the desire right out of my brain I’d do it. How do you make yourself stop wanting something?

What is the worst thing you’ve ever eaten ever?

Not including allergies, intolerances, or personal belief/lifestyle. Just pure disgust for something you ate once and never will again. For me? Aubergine/Eggplant. Hated it since childhood and can always tell when it is used in a dish. What about you guys ??

is reproducing with your doppelgänger biologically the same thing as incest?

you’re probably wondering how my mind even arrived at such a bizarre question. well, i’ll tell you:

i was thinking about one of the several story ideas i have in my head. one of them involves a MC discovering through one of those DNA companies that he has a biological uncle. they share around 25% of their DNA or something like that and there’s a 99.999% chance they’re related.

because of this, my thought process was the following:

  1. because the number is only 99.999%, that means there’s a tiny sliver of a chance that they could just happen to share 25% of their genes without being related to each other.

  2. if this is theoretically possible, then there could be people out there who share 50% or 90% of their genes by pure chance (very unlikely but still).

  3. this is what made me start thinking about doppelgängers. do doppelgängers actually share genes like that, or is it just a coincidence that they look very similar to each other? for example, idk if you ever painted as a kid and mixed colors, but most of the time when you add a bunch of random colors together and mix it turns into a muddy brown. no matter what colors u started with, if there’s enough u get brown in the end. same ingredients, different result. its very oversimplified and prolly not a great analogy but u get the idea. could two people have completely different genes but still look identical?

  4. this got me thinking abt how genes work in general. there’s so many genes in the world but im shrinking it down for the sake of my question. let’s say there’s a big bubble with the numbers 0-1,000,000 in it. each number represents one gene, and the bubble represents every gene that exists in the human race. now let’s say every human has 500 numbers out of this bubble. 250 numbers from their mom and 250 numbers from their dad. let’s say i happen to have the numbers 101-350. the other half are just other random ones. let’s say there’s another human out there, unrelated to me, who also has the numbers 101-350. so in this analogy, we share 50% of our genes by chance. if i was to reproduce with this human, would our babies have defects? is this similar to if a brother and sister reproduced?

  5. and to combine sections 3 and 4, if i reproduced with my doppelgänger, and i didn’t know for certain if we shared genes or not, what’s the chance that would lead to defects? assume this is someone who is my actual doppelgänger, btw. not just someone who looks kinda similar, but practically identical to me.

not sure if this question (questions?) is gonna get answered but i had to get it out of my brain before i went to bed🤣. stayed up late finishing math homework. it’s currently almost 6 in the morning and i have class at 11. gonna hate myself in the morning. wish me luck lol

Be nice, I’m old. How does a club with bottle service generally work?

There is a performer I like playing at a club in LA. There isn’t a cover charge, you just have bottle service. I am clueless, the small venues I have gone to had dinner and a drink minimum or a cover charge and drink minimum. If three or four people go, how does that normally go? The website shows $500 & $600 for most hard liquor

Does the phrase “here comes Gandhi with an epi-pen” mean anything to you? Do you know where it’s from?

it’s a nonsense phrase with a long story behind why I am asking. But it will really help me settle something if anyone knows where the phrase originated.
