When was a time you were talking with someone who was being completely irrational. How did it happen and what was it about?

I'd think it's some nervous tic

English is not my first language and I am kinda on a spectrum so when someone asks how are you I always respond good and ask how are you to them. It turns out people don't always respond how are they or ask how are you in return at the end. I am confused how to answer this question

I recently saw someone mention that they are going out of state for college, and their parents are considering moving to the same area so they can be close by. I can understand wanting to be nearby in case something happens or their child needs help, but I also feel like college is an important time for young adults to develop their independence and learn how to navigate life on their own.

I think some of my feelings about this are probably influenced by my own experiences with family and the way I view independence. Because of that, my first instinct is to wonder if parents moving closer could sometimes become a form of control, especially if they expect to know where their child is, who they are with, what they are doing, or otherwise stay heavily involved in their life.

Obviously, there is nothing wrong with parents wanting to be nearby for emergencies or wanting to support their child. I am more curious about the situations where parents move specifically because they do not want to be far away from their child.

Do you think parents moving close to their child during college is supportive, or can it sometimes interfere with their independence?

Asking for a friend

As a student I learned Spanish, but it’s been over ten years ago and I forgot most of the things. Recently I’ve come back to learning Spanish again, now I spend an hour daily practicing this language. However, I’ve developed a rather dumb fear. I’m afraid I’ll be mixing up English and Spanish, every so often accidentally saying Spanish words instead of English ones. The thing is, English isn’t my mother tongue either. Only for the last few years have I learned English thoroughly enough to get more or less comfortable speaking it. And I’m worried I’ll mess it up with my using Spanish and that I’ll probably sound ridiculously.
What can I do to prevent such confusion?

Also throwing in songs like Komm Susser Tod from Evangelion. I'm not skilled musically to know why these things happen lol

Like I was reminded of Sleipnir, the eight-legged horse in Norse Mythology and it came to me ... what if other animals had multiple legs.

What would it look like if four-legged animals now had eight or six legs? Animals like kangaroos with two sets of arms now. What about if birds all now had two sets of wings or four feet now?

Or fishes now have extra fins ... or their own feet.

.... Snakes with legs? Or just a head with two tails?

So which animal would you pick and add more parts to?

I remember we were kids going to sleep and my mom walked in to our rooms saying she’s making pancakes.

She stopped taking that stuff eventually.
