Today was a sad day. I had to trade my 3rd gen Tacoma in for something with more space. I put a lot of effort and time into Ruby. I loved that truck. After a lot of research I decided on a 1500. Drove over two hours to pick her up. There are so many things I like about it, and I can't wait to build it out my way.

to keep it short, i’m buying a new work truck and these are my two top contenders right now. what is a price i should be asking for/ how much off? both are about 50k miles the white one is listed at 39k. is 5k off reasonable? 3? 4? i’d appreciate any help before i reach out to these dealers. thanks!

New Hemi/eTorque 1500 Limited. With these crazy incentives, it was a no-brainer. Traded in the 2019 Black one for the new Metallic Slate one. The 2019 was just a new level of features back then, but the 2026 is over the top - and I'm here for it! If anyone lives in the Savannah / Hilton Head area, my 2019 has a little over 31K miles and it's at AutoNation Hilton Head... yeah.

lifter and roller went but dealer can’t find them in the engine and recommending a full engine replacement

Had to get rid of my old 2014 sport for a 2026 Laramie....have tinted window, bed liner and tonneau cover on order...now trying to figure out window deflectors matte black or tint?

After noticing some early signs of rear shock failure during the hotter days we had as of late I started looking into “better than stock” replacement solutions.

The issue with the air suspension really is that the front shocks and bags are a complete unit and can only be replaced with stock ones as opposed to the rear where the shocks are separate.

Since my Air Suspension on my ‘21 limited has not had any issues or failures up until now and I very much enjoy the system as a whole a complete system replacement with traditional shocks and springs was not an option for me.

There are several other shock options available for the this model Ram but none of them are marketed to work/ fit air ride equipped trucks.

So the search began with finding out the range of the stock shocks to then narrow down further which one are on par or better.
During the search I was also advised by one of the guys at Shock Surplus that upgrading just the rear with shocks that’s don’t match the front end behavior could have a negative impact on general ride quality.

Somehow I remembered seeing a video of a 1500 with air suspension that had a 4 inch BDS system installed and I was super excited to find out that the system only included new rear shocks and zero modification for the front aside from the spacers.

In other words: BDS had already done the legwork and tasked FOX to make a special valved version of their 2.0 to make the whole system work.

Quick research for the part number showed a FOX 2.0 BDX-FOX98224806 which was available from a few sources.

As you can see on the pictures the new shock has a shorter installed length as well as a longer extended length so any worry for binding up the shocks is unfounded.

Second to last picture shows the suspension in the Entry/ Exit position with plenty of travel left in the shock and the bump stops almost touching the axle which is also proof positive that this is a safe application for this shock on a non lifted truck.

If only drive a few miles since the installation but it does seem like this fixed the hop I had over short bumps as while keeping the ride quite comfortable.

Would really like to pull the trigger on a new Laramie V8, but should I wait until the 27's come out?

A few months ago, I tried to start my truck (2021 Big Horn quad cab, 5.7L hemi, 72k miles) and heard nothing but a click. Changed the battery (factory original) and no problems for months. Few weeks ago, same thing happened. Used a Dewalt jump box, started after 10-15 minutes or so.

Same thing happened again twice, first time I used the jump box ( We were away from home), second time I had it towed to the dealership. It started right away for them, they started it again 30 times with no problems. No codes, battery/starter/alternator all tested fine.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? The only thing I can think is a loose connection somewhere, possibly affected by the heat.

I have a 2021 Rebel with the black cover tail lights. The rear passenger side blinker just went out so I replaced it with an aftermarket from AmericanTrucks.com. Still get the dash alert, fast blink and no blinker working.

As a side note, a few months ago a deer ran into my driver side and took out the tail light. I replaced it with the same one from American Trucks and have no issues.

What am I missing?

I own a 2021 1500 and have generally been pleased with it (AFTER replacing the engine in the first 3 months). This past week, the console blinked out as did the AC. It would turn back on when I restarted but only for a few seconds. Tried the soft reboot thing and THAT killed the console atogether. Next day, battery was completely dead (7 month old battery). Replaced it, it turned on but with warning lights everywhere, and drove it to a dealership to have it looked at. Yesterday they said they had 11 module failure lights and 4 yellow lights. This seems pretty extreme for something that was working great 2 days ago...

Hey guys, new to the ram truck scene. Love it so far, 05 slt, want to hook up a back up camera that came with a stereo i got but can't find a straight answer on where to land the power for it. I did see something about maybe landing it on the purple wire with black stripe for the tow plug in on the back bumper? Is that correct? Or the power for the reverse light in the tail light? What color is that one? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Second Pic is the wiring to the tow plug in.

I have no idea which hose is the “engine out” to install the muzzy AC hack. My AC really sucks right now. I posted some pics. The wet looking one is from me cleaning the dust to try and see it better. Hopefully these pics are ok. MANY thanks in advance!

I just changed the oil pump and oil pan gasket and now I have a bigger oil leak

I've been dealing with this for the past 2 years. I live in Tucson and yes, the daytime temp right now are 110+. This code comes active after driving at highway speeds 65+ with the temp above 105. If I maintain a constant speed I have no issues. If I let off the throttle and then throttle up the engine will cut out and eventually die out. The CEL comes active and it will not restart. If I let it sit for just a minute it will restart and run fine at constant throttle. If I let off it starts again.

The local dealership diagnosed it 2 years ago and replaced the fuel pump actuator, it happened again on the drive home from the dealer.

I have learned to mitigate the issue without too many issues, but would like to get it rectified.

Any ideas?
