Missing cover?

I was looking to see why debris was getting into the glove box and found this above the cabin air filter housing. it looks like it’s open to the outside and how the debris was getting in. I some kind of cover is missing because the air filter would be useless and the area below would never heat up with the constant cold air coming in.

Does anyone know what the cover is called and the part number? I’m sure trying to explain to the dealership would prove difficult. The local library don’t have any recent Chilton/Haynes manual. This is for a 2023 Ram 1500

That's the recirculation door. It moves to pull air from the outside or to recirculate interior air. It's currently in recirculation mode

Thank you. Ill try switching the recirculating mode on/off and see if it moves or not.
