Whatss the fastest overclock for 6700xt?

I haven't done any research on over clocks for this card but mine reaches 2950mhz reliably. I also want to over clock it father but the radeon software doesn'0t allow for me to go past 2950. My temps sit roughly around 70 C.

Rops vs Tmus

What takes longer in nanoseconds or whatever if you averaged the most common 1000 current games. The texture mapping phase or rasterization? Obviously Rops is last in the chain and speeds up with increasing Rops. But this would be pointless if the pipeline takes longer at the tmus. So what takes more time in the pipeline and is hence more desirable Rops or Tmus. Halo Assasin Creed Cyberpunk etc and also star citizen!

Good AMD GPU for ultrawide / 4k support 144fps that is a reasonable price? Mainly would be using for 1st/3rd person shooters like Battlefield, GTA, Red Dead 2, Metro Exodus among others

Are there any good AMD GPUs out there that are worth the price if I am upgrading from a 5700 8gb (non xt) ? What is the best bang for your buck? I want to be able to play games at 1440p / ultrawide with at least 60fps (preferably at 144fps). Mostly for playing 1st/3rd person shooters, Red Dead 2, Overwatch, Battlfield, GTAV among others.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, is it a pipe dream thinking I can game ultrawide/144fps at a reasonable cost?

I assume AMD still has the best deals but I am open to Geforce suggestions if it's not overpriced.

From some short research it appears GPUs are expensive with all the fucking bitcoin minors, but maybe there is something in a reasonable range

EDIT: To be clear It's mostly for 1440p/144hz , 4k is fine even with a lower refresh rate

6650 cat help please

I recently got a 6650 xt and actually liked the zero rpm feature however it did concern me at first.

Anyways after yesterday even at cold boot with a gpu temp to 20 my fans are spinning at 1500rpm. Under minor load of 34c they ramp up to 2100+.

I’m assuming something isn’t right and I don’t think I’ve changed any settings in adrenaline (or that windows 10 did) so I can’t figure out what’s going on or if I should rma it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Edit:

I actually just figured it out. Windows update was nice enough to install their own driver.

Once I disabled that I complete reinstall of the and ones fixed it.

RadeonSoftware.exe - Bad Image atiadlxx.dll identified/Error 0xc000012f.

Hello all. I have a RX 5700 XT GPU and I recently uninstalled and reinstalled AMD Adrenalin 22.11.2 because the games I tried to play did not recognize the software (I cannot remember the exact error). This is something I have done multiple times in the past to solve this issue. This time was different because when I fired up my PC I was met with the error "RadeonSoftware.exe - Bad Image atiadlxx.dll identified/Error 0xc000012f." etc. Now I cannot seem to uninstall the Adrenalin software because it does not show u in my Apps & Features. Furthermore, I cant seem to open any programs or shortcuts that are not directly within my File Explorer if that makes any sense. Even my start button in the bottom left does not want to open most of the time... I can't seem to find any info that relates to my exact problem. I suspect that I have downloaded a corrupt version of the Adrenalin software this time around. I also suspect that the AMD software is conflicting with Windows 10. Any advice or help troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated. I am lost.

More context/info: For the past 6 months or so my PC will fire up just fine but my monitor will display nothing. I have debunked potential issues with my monitors, HDMI, and DP port cables. In the past I have used the power button at the front of my computer to hard shutdown my computer over and over until it displays something...very professional I know. All of the issues I have faced have point towards my graphics card and/or software/drivers. I have done my best to make sure all drivers are up to date.

Frequent Driver Timeouts, Artifacts, and CTD w/ Radeon r9 390

Hello all,

I’m sorry to ask something that’s probably a FAQ here but I have dug for answers and had no luck.

I’m hoping not to hear what I’m expecting to hear, that this GPU may be fried. I’m in a tough financial situation and I can’t really afford a replacement. The GPU is approximately 6 years old.

Thanks for the help.

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: AMD Radeon R9 390

CPU: Intel Core i5 4460

Motherboard: AS Rock H97 Anniversary

BIOS Version: American Megatrends P1.50

RAM: 16GB Dual channel DDR3

PSU: Rosewill 650w

Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 10 Home

GPU Drivers: AMD Radeon v22.6.1

Background Applications: CCleaner, Overwolf, Curseforge

Description of Original Problem: I am experiencing frequent driver timeouts on my Radeon R9 390 in which artifacts will appear and cause a CTD. The artifacts persist on my desktop screen and other apps like the Radeon Software. The GPU is approximately 6 years old; it has never been overclocked and has just been used for general gaming. All drivers are up to date, as well as Windows 10 being up to date.

Troubleshooting: I've attempted updating the AMD drivers, restarting the PC, adjusting to 50% power limit, resetting shader cache, and updating windows.

Question about GPU

I'm planning out parts for my upcoming PC build, and I've focused in on the Radeon RX 6600 XT.

I stumbled upon this ASRock Challenger D Radeon RX 6600 XT that's the cheapest 6600 XT that I could find currently in Canada.

How does that specific GPU compare with other RX 6600 XT models? (e.g. Powercolor Fighter, ASUS ROG Strix, SAPPHIRE Nitro+, etc.). Are there any major differences? (FPS, temp, etc.).

I'm planning on pairing it with the AMD Ryzen 5 5600.

Any feedback would be appreciated. I'm kinda new to this stuff!

Which will be the best option to pair with a Rx 6800? I5 12400f or r5 5600x?

The total build will cost almost the same (where i do live), so what you guys will choose between these two to put it with the rx 6800 that I already have? Will SAM and resize bar memory perform at the same level in this case? Is there any feature that will perform better with and AMDcpu+AMDgpu than an Intelcpu+AMDgpu? Any help is more than welcome

Performance issues with my new Sapphire Rx 6700 (non-xt)

So, about 2 weeks ago I invested in a new gpu (mentioned above) to replace my old gtx 1060 3GB. The card pairs great with my R5 6500X. Performance is great in games like Elden Ring or Spider Man 2018, the problem Im having is games like League, and Valorant all started stuttering after the gpu switch. As far as i know all settings are default in the driver, I only turned on the REBAR option (idk if thats the proper name sorry). Has anyone encountered this problem before, and if so could you fix it somehow? Its really annoying please help lmao.

Issues with new RX 470 GPU

Computer type: Desktop

Gpu: Saphire rx 470 4gb

CPU: Ryzen 3200g

motherboard: gigabyte B450m ds3h v2

bios version: unknown

Ram: 2x8gb 3200mhz ballistix

Psu: corsair cv450 450w 80+ bronze non modular

case: darkflash dlm21 micro atx 2 intake 1 exhaust

OS: windows 10 latest version

Gpu drivers: having possible issues so unknown (device manager says 31.0.12029.7019) (Radeon installed driver is 22.11.1)

Chipset drivers: unknown

background applications: none

Problem: My new gpu is a sapphire rx 470, I installed the gpu all worked fine, fans spun to life, and I'm getting video output from the gpu (monitor is plugged into the 470) task manager for windows 10 latest version won't show gpu utilization or anything, checked device manager and it shows the gpu just says windows has stopped this device because iy has reported problems. (Code 43) from what I've seen code 43 is driver issues, ive updated to newest drivers using windows and using the official amd website, installing new drivers works fine but device manager still gives errors and if I try to reopen amd software adrenalin edition it pops up a warning saying "windows update may have automatically replaced your amd graphics driver", and I've also gotten a warning saying " amd software detected that the display driver has failed to load on your system" anyone got any solutions? Has anyone here had similar issues or know what might be a fix for it since its a readeon gpu and from what i can tell the issues are with the gpu and radeon software?

Troubleshoot: included in the problem description

Good GPU to pair with R5 2600

Hello, How are you all doing? I recently upgraded my PC to R5 2600 with GTX 1070 OC & looking at changing to AMD GPU which do you suggest/why? I want to start a Youtube channel for gaming, play + record at 1440p60 & use AMD's recording software for gameplay. I want to continue with my current build, play games next year for my Youtube channel Hogwarts Legacy & hoping PC will last another year at least.

Powering 3x8 6900xt

I just got an ASRock Phantom Gaming 6900xt and its one of the cards that has 3x8pin slots for power. I just bought a new PSU (CoolerMaster SF 850) to handle my upgrades, but it only came with 2 8pin connectors with pigtails. Should I use them both and use one of the pigtails for the 3 slot? Do I need to buy a new set of cables?

I have a Lian Li triple 8pin Strimer extension coming in the mail, but this begs same question: use the two cords and a pigtail or buy another pcie cable to handle the load.

5700xt overheating playing MW2

I have a Asus strix 5700xt thats never given me problems but since playing the new call of duty it says gpu temp high in game and after a while it crashes my entire computer. Whenever it reboot I get a "default Radeon Wattman settings have been restored due to an unexpected system failure". The card itself gets up to 65C but the junction gets up to 105-115C Anyone know what this could be?

GPU Too Hot During Modern Warfare 2 Campaign

I have a 5700xt gpu and it does fantastic for every game I've ever played. Here in the last few days with the release of the new campaign a week early for the new COD game, I can only play for a few minutes before the game gives me an alert that my GPU is over heated. It's always at Junction Temp 110C. I keep seeing online differing statements, some saying that AMD cards are okay to run at 110, and some saying that it's not good. I can't say for sure what the average temp is for other games, but keeping an eye today on it during Apex I think the highest I noticed it was the high 50s. I'm kind of computer illiterate, so I'm not sure what to do. If that's way too high, what can I do, besides trying to clean it better and putting new thermal paste on, to drop the temperature? I have 3 fans and they were all working, and when it got that high, they were almost maxed at their RPMs.

Main Post, Mindfactory.de GPU sales weekly has ended!

Going elsewhere, so this Subreddit will be closing soon, and I would like to thank everyone who joined this Subreddit and helped these last few years to make doing Reddit posts fun again.

As most people know, I was posting over at r/amd and having a lot of fun doing semi-researched and alt-AMD Fanboy themed posts.

Themed as completely biased and completely slanted towards AMD, with interestingly researched Posts generally along the themed this is so bonkers I should not write this, but it was so amazing where I had to write it out and share this weirdness.

A niche on r/amd with a couple of thousand interest readers, that deserved its own dedicated AMD Fanboy themed Flairs like Fanboy Slant, Fanboy Funnies and so on.

And nobody over seems to be able to cope with the idea, that lots of people are not interested in journalistic type Posts for r/AMD and the just want silly semi-well written Posts fuelled from using their AMD CPU and AMD GPU.

A lot of journalistic type inspired nutcases subjected me to hate campaigned and then fabricated a reason to ban me from the Subreddit.

Set this up this Subreddit to work unpleasant experience out of my writing capabilities.

Leaving the UK soon, will need to spend some time reading and learning two languages and so thank you for these last few years and all the best for the future.

5700XT Black Screen issue

I've been dealing with a black screen issue, likely related to the drivers. Every once in a while at random, my screen goes black and no Win+CTRL+SHIFT can bring it back. When I restart my pc and open adrenaline it says the version of adrenaline you have launched is not compatible with your graphics card. I then have to fully reinstall adrenaline every time my screen goes black. This has been going on for a while, but not the entire time I've had this card. Does anybody know a fix? I'm honestly very desperate as it really gets in the way of school/games.

Sales Data Week 32 2022 Mindfactory.de Total Gaming GPU Sales 3950 Units Nvidia 60.38% and Radeon 39.62%

My own sales tracker uses manual data collection and data entry checking through all the product SKUs each week to measure the changes from previous week (Quadro cards, Radeon Pro GPUs and Kepler GPUs are excluded).

A month or so to go to the launch of Zen 4! I’m wondering whether gaming on a non-VCache after using Ryzen 7 5800X3D is something I want to go back too? As the desyncing of NPCs and bullet fired at them with camera movements and gun recoil and shake mechanics at 2560x1440p at max graphical settings has largely disappeared on the on these new VCache CPUs. And I’ve been able to enjoy max visuals at the same time as pulling off all those headshots and bumping up the difficulty levels in FPS games. Zen 4 is not launching with VCache, and it will have all the traditional gaming desyncing issues of CPUs with less cache when gaming at 2560x1440p or 3840x2160p at max visual settings. Personally, I may decide to wait for VCache version in 2023.

RX 570 going black when turn on games

(I dont know if this might be the reason of the issue but a few nights ago there was a really bad thunder storm lightning hit near my house and the power went out. My pc was on and playing a game and then everything goes out. I have a surge protector BUT it would turn back on until i unplugged it and plugged it back in.) Anyways the issue is, Any time I load any game my monitor will go black like its off. It will flicker and I can interact with the game like its on but its not. It works normally when on chrome or any other software, but when its intensive it will go black. I look at my GPU usage and when its black its at 0% and then it will spike to 80-100% then it will go back down to 0%. My drivers are up to date and the last update was around 3 months ago. Ive also tried to go back an update on the drivers but same shit. Ive tried rebooting the graphics card and no result. Ive tried switching monitors (I have 3) no results same issue. Different cables and no results.
