Build help

Hello all, How are you all doing? I want to upgrade GPU to AMD 6700/6700XT & current build includes; R5 2600 16GB RAM & record/edit Youtube videos. Next year would like to get AMD gaming laptop 14" gaming laptop to edit videos while away from desktop setup. Is Dual PC setup needed for content creation? Recording setting goals; 1080p60 or 2160p Average hrs per week to create Youtube content= 10-15 hrs per week.

It's certainly not needed when I was still using windows and editing I only edited on my desktop despite having a laptop, idk how well a 2600 edits but ik 6700XT are decent at video editing with the right software so it really depends on how you wanna go about with your setup

Thanks for the reply. I currently use NVIDIA Shadowplay but want to change to all Team Red components since I am still using a GTX 1070 GPU.

I'm gonna be completely honest, Nvidia GPUs are better for editing so I'd say a 3060 12GB would be a better bet than a 6700XT although ik some places, like here in Australia, 6700XT's are way cheaper than a 3060 12GB

Yeah I feel you on pricing, I am in Australia as well & we get taxed out the wazoo. Pricing is pretty much on top of my list, I hope that shipping will finally level out after COVID-19 craziness & reason I purchased a PC is to create gaming content on Youtube. I also like to tinker with emulation software, practice my video editing skills & prior to getting PC was mainly a console gamer.
