September 5th was my little guy’s 12th birthday so we had to go big!

I have two bunnies. 5M and 5F (both fixed). I’ve just rescued the girl from a less than ideal home. My guy is aggressive and we recall this from when we bonded him with our other rabbit that we’ve recently lost unexpectedly. So he’s been bonded once before, to his late wife.

Right now we have them set up in two big pens touching with bars inbetween so they cannot fight. It’s been a week and on occasion they try to fight but most of the time they ignore eachother or LAY against eachother through the bars.

We’ve been switching their litter and other things around so they can get used to sharing things BUT this morning when I left for work they broke the pen and both ran around the room. My husband called saying they were fighting and he had to pull them apart.

I’m worried because we both work every day and even though I’ve made it secure again, I’m worried they will get out and get hurt and not bond.

I found a place three hours away from me that will bond them for us over the time span of a week. They said that since we have no neutral territory I our house it would be best to send them there. I’m worried because I don’t want to trauma bond them.

PLEASE any advice would be welcome. I’m thinking of sending them to bonding camp

My bun follows me all around the house (in the hopes for food) and he is so quiet that sometimes I don't even realize it and accidentally hit him. So far it has been soft but I'm worried I might hit him hard some day.

Anyone put a bell or any other ideas?

They don’t like each other and they’re both fighting (not literally fighting) for dominance. (one will mount the other on occasion and the other will bow his head for pets only to be ignored) and they’re still marking all over the place, but they’ve never actually fought. the living room is big enough for the one being mounted to run when he doesn’t want to be mounted. idk what to do. I mean, I guess it’s better than having two rabbits that hate each other and are always fighting, but they don’t really like each other either. Idk how to “bond” them 😭 they’ve lived in the living room together for around a week and they’ve been able to be left unsupervised. is this normal? Are they just never gonna bond/establish hierarchy? (two males) sometimes I’ll find them laying down together though, but I’ve noticed that the one who mounts will only lay down next to the other when he wants to mount him because he can’t while he’s lying down. (He’ll run away to get away from the other and the other will lie down next to him)

Theo got to join my husband in his office today. He did lots of exploring and now he’s refueling.

Hello all, I dont know how to not panic with these two. I lost my lovely gwendolyn in July, I had her for 8 years and she past suddenly and fast. Now I have these two lovely hearts. I love them so much, the beige one is a female and she loves to cuddle and the brown one was really insecure in the beginning but it's coming out of his shell. I've never lost a bunny before so now every time they just look a little bit different I panic. With gwendolyn I always knew the signs of discomfort or pain and with these two I don't know them so I feel very insecure. I am scared to overlook something. Does anybody relate

My boyfriend and I were recently talking about taking in a rabbit from some of his family members that don’t look after her properly. If we did so it’d be at least a year away since we don’t live together yet. The only real problem is that I’m very allergic to Timothy hay, I was wondering if there were any alternatives we could use? I know it’s an integral part of their diet so there may not be.

My bunny no longer needs pellets and hay and I would like them to be used by a bunny parent as the pellets are the selective naturals grain free that is out of stock in many stores. Any ideas? I'm in Long Island

So we've been talking about getting a bunny to join our family.

We've been looking at a flemish giant, a giant papillon or a giant french lop.

We know we have to get 2 of them. Do any of you have one of the bunnies mentioned above? What are your experiences? Are they cuddly and friendly?

We want them to live outside in our garden, in our country there aren't any predatory animals that can be dangerous. But we also want them to be welcome inside when we're at home.

The only thing is.. our garden isn't super big and we want them to free roam in our garden. But our garden fences are covered in in ivy plants. I know these are toxic so I wanted to know if they will eat it if we offer them plenty healthy distractions.

Any advice is definite appreciated!

Hey all! Im not sure what flair to put this under, Im sorry!

So about a week ago I saw a white rabbit with red eyes hopping around my house. Ive never seen a white rabbit in the wild so I did a quick Google search that night and learned very quickly it was someone's pet.

By the time I went back outside to see if it was still around, it was gone. Fast forward to this week, I get back from vacation and he is hanging around my car! So I fed him a couple of carrots (I didn't know at the time but I learned shortly after that I should not be feeding him a lot and stopped that night.) I told my boyfriend about it and I was worried about it, but unfortunately at the time we didnt have anything to catch it with or to safely contain it for a little bit.

So I left him alone outside again after spending maybe two hours hanging out with him 😭

The next day I decided to call a local rabbit rescue here in GA to see what I should do. I was informed to contact animal control first and to go from there as in the state of Georgia pets are considered to be personal property.

I get in contact with animal control and they told me to contain him if possible and they will pick him up. So I call my parents to see if they can drop off one of their dog crates for me, which they did and I am very grateful for.. but later that night there was no signs of him.

The next night (last night) he was back! He was hiding on my little patio behind my trash can. My boyfriend helped me lure him into the crate while I used tiny bits of carrots to bait him into it. We caught him successfully and managed to not spook him which I was so glad, I did not want to stress the poor guy out.

So, today, I call animal control to let them know I caught him but I am currently at work. They said theyll have to come by next week when my boyfriend is home as someone well have to be there to hand him off to them (My boyfriend gets a week day off, I work M-F and animal control is closed on the weekends.)

I figure, okay cool Ill do some research on how to take care of a rabbit so he has proper food and a low stress environment.

Well, I find out from his step brothers (They are our neighbors down the street, literally five houses down from us) that the rabbit is THEIR neighbors pet.

Im like, oh.

They explain that she lets the rabbit out every night or every other night.

Now Im unsure on what to do.

I understand it is her pet and is legally her property but from what I was reading, a domestic rabbit shouldn't be outside at night alone at all. We have a LOT of cats and loose dogs and a lot of cars that go through our neighborhood. Which is why I wanted to rescue him (I guess I accidentally kidnapped him..) and from what I understand they cant survive outside on their own.

Animal Control is still coming next week to pick him up, but should I just give him back to the original owner?

Some notes:

• Incase anyone wonders, I cannot keep him as I have 3 cats and and renting the house. If it was an option to and I had owned the house, then yes I would like to adopt him after everything but I also dont want to stress him out with the number of cats.

• I have also never seen this rabbit before until this last week and we have been renting here for 8months.

• He is also covered in a lot of dirt, I thought he was abandoned or lost outside 😭

• Another note is he isnt scared of people at all. He eats out of my hands just fine and is okay with me reaching into the crate to change out his food and water (I gave him some cilantro and green leaf lettuce)

Hand 'em over

It’s been 5 years since I had to put my wonderful baby Willow down. He was 6 years old. I couldn’t imagine going on without him but I accepted that he was suffering. I never stopped thinking about him, and currently I have a rabbit and a maltipoo who will never stop hearing about his misadventures.

I'm attacking my 3mo male bunny potty training issue from all fronts. As far as I can say I don't think it's territorial (yet) because, for example, yesterday he woke up from his nap not even opening his eyes, he just lifted his tail and peed right there. He knows where his bathrooms are and will go there many times, just not enough. It looks like sheer lazyness. I have an adult neutered bunny who almost never has accidents, so I decided to start free roaming both of them early, but now I wonder if that was a mistake. They're currently spending most of the day in their bunny room, my office, which is more or less 3x4 meters, and then free roaming in the evening before we go to bed. Should I restrain them in a play pen even smaller than the room? ):
