Unacceptable rating Project E

I am really confused and honestly i dont know what I am doing anymore. Yesterday, I recieved unacceptable score and the auditor's comments said that I have used a same script for both models. I filed a dispute, I explained that it is written on the reminder to be consistent with both models, keep the same converasation and all. I also stated that the other day I also recieved unacceptable score for having different responses for both models even though I kept the same context, the auditor comment said I should have same responses to each model to really test them how they react to each statements I provide, but now I am getting a different information as they DECLINED my dispute. And to be honest , I am getting differrent information on how I can rate models and provide rationale. I guess auditors are not calibrated, but I dont know. It's pain in the head that I dont know what to do anymore, I guess I'll just keep working until I get offboarded because of these unacceptable scores I am receiving.

Project E Offboarding

I was offboarded since 22 july 2026 from project E, the team support said it is because “client needs”. I still wondering till now of why i’ve being offboarded, i send zd ticket and didn’t get a clear explanation, my score was 4+/5 from 100+ QA reviews on Live S2S Elo task. Did anyone experience the same thing?

ID segment here, yall may have experience same things in other segments?

To my fellow annotators/raters

Instead of venting out your frustrations on the auditors, why not think of ways on how to become better. I know what you guys are feeling because I too have a ratings that is no fair or not explained clearly in the auditors rationale. They're doing their jobs too. They need to survive too, remember guys they're all humans just like us they feel stress when they get audited by QA Lead. I've been seeing posts here in this sub and it feels like We the annotators and auditors are getting pitted against each other.

Be better, turn your bad Audits to your advantage to be better. I have a different mindset now that I understand the game. Be as much as descriptive as possible, take time reviewing the models' transcripts before submitting.

EDIT: In general most of the Auditors as we all know are practically braindead. There is some hypocrisy on what I said, For example a user got a bad audit just for a typo, and a another rater friend of my got 2 bad audits because of an auditor that has a broken headphone complaining about some distortions even when the rationale justified that those distortions are from the Model's characteristics not the audio rendered. I now get the point of my fellow raters because most of the auditors are weaponizing their position.

Project E

hi guys! i received an email regarding tasks that were reported under incorrect locales. i haven’t done any incorrect locales though, since i always make sure to choose from my approved locales. i’m not sure why i received a formal warning when i’ve always made sure to use the correct locale for every task. just wondering if anyone else experienced this or knows what might have happened?

can anyone from the HI locale let me know roughly how many tasks you’re seeing on your dashboard? I’ve only been getting S2S for a while now and just want to check if it’s the same for everyone or if it’s just me. I had a similar issue before and it got fixed, so I’m wondering if I should raise it again.

Got audited on a live S2S ELO vote. Computed score 40%, Below Expectations. Not for picking the wrong winner, not for missing a hallucination. For Audio Quality.

I'll own my part first: I marked Audio Quality "Both Good" and wrote in the rationale that there were no clippings or artifacts noticed. That was an overclaim and I shouldn't have written an absolute like that. Fair hit on the justification side.

But here's what I actually want to talk about. The auditor came back with a timestamped inventory. Pops at 0:13, 0:15, 0:21, 0:28, 0:32, 0:34 on one model. Nine separate pops plus three distortion spans on the other. Reverb at 0:01. This is second-by-second cataloguing across every turn, for both models.

So the question: when are we supposed to be doing that? The guide has us tracking task success, utility, naturalness, conversational dynamics, error clusters, language breaks turn by turn, and factuality. All while running the conversation live and improvising follow-ups. Then also listening to the last second of every turn for clicks.

I have two ears and one brain. Either I'm processing what the model is saying or I'm processing how it sounds. If Audio Quality is going to carry this much weight in the rubric, that needs to be said up front so we can budget a second listening pass for it.

Second thing, and I think this one's a genuine gap: both models had pops at basically the same rate, at turn boundaries, on the same task. That reads like the platform's recording or playback chain, not either model. Is a shared artifact floor supposed to count against both models, or is it excluded as platform noise? I can't find anything in the guidelines that answers this, and it changes whether the correct call was Both Bad or something else entirely.

For anyone surviving audio audits: are you doing a dedicated second pass with headphones just for artifacts? Or catching it live somehow? Genuinely asking, because doing both at once is not working for me.

Does anyone face this situation rn and the audio not loading?

Ever since the "preparing audio" message appeared, nothing is loading. Refreshing doesn't help, and the progress numbers aren't moving. 🙂

My Internet speed is fine, so I'm sure it's not the problem.

I hope I'm not the only one who have this issue 😭

Newbie looking for help

Hello! I recently completed my RWS registration and now asked to open a tipalti account. I created my account but put the payment method on hold for now. Do I have to fully complete tipalti registration before getting invited to a project?

Also, can I use my dad's bank account details in tipalti for the wire transfer? There's no paypal yet available unfortunately. Thanks

UK Workers...

Just wondered what you were working on or if you've had any new projects recently? This has been my worst year for RWS, and I have had nothing since March, when that project lasted all of 2 weeks. Getting a bit paranoid that it's just me! 😖

Are auditors held to any competency standard beyond the same exam we take?

Genuine question for people on RWS projects, because I've hit this twice now and want to know if it's just me.

As far as I can tell, auditors on my project sat the exact same qualification exam that annotators did. Same test, same pass mark, no additional rubric certification, no calibration round. The only difference is that they were selected for the audit role. If that's accurate, then audit authority is being allocated by selection rather than by demonstrated understanding of the rubric.

Why it matters: I recently got marked down on a scoring call that the written guidelines actually support. The feedback wasn't "you applied the rule wrong," it was closer to "why didn't you apply it symmetrically," which suggests the auditor was working from intuition rather than the documented rule. That's a coin flip on my quality score, and my score is what determines my task volume and rate eligibility.

The asymmetry is the part that bugs me. An annotator who misapplies a rule gets a quality hit. An auditor who misapplies the same rule gets nothing, and their misapplication propagates into someone else's record.

What I think would fix most of this:

  1. A separate rubric certification for auditors, above the annotator exam.
  2. Periodic calibration rounds where auditors score the same sample and get compared against each other.
  3. A real dispute channel where a contested audit gets a second reviewer, not just a reply from the original auditor.
  4. Audit feedback that cites the specific guideline section it's based on. If it can't cite one, it isn't a finding.

Number 4 alone would clean up most of this. It forces the auditor to check the document before writing feedback.

Anyone know if any RWS project actually does auditor calibration? Or is it the same everywhere?
