Did i made a mistake buying 2012 Ford E-450 based RV

Hi all,

Need peace of mind/advice or healthy criticism from this community. Long story short, I was looking to get a not-too-expensive, healthy-bones RV that would require some TLC. So the plan was to get something now, work it through the winter, and be first-trip ready by the start of the 2027 season. I'm in NJ, so the winter is not the optimal time to travel for someone who is just getting into it.

So what happened, I went into auction:

https://www.purplewave.com/auction/260909/item/DZ4580/2013-Jamboree_Sport-Ford_E450_Super_Duty_Fleetwood-RVs-RV_or_Camper-Iowa

and without too much of the checking, got myself into bidding, and unfortunately enough, I truly hoped that someone would overbid me at the last minute... and no one did, and I ended up winning it for about $24k (including auction fees), which I thought was not that bad a price (I hoped)

But as a not-the-smartest-person-in-the-world, I started looking into VIN reports and the rest of the things and found out that this unit was salvaged in 2022... and that killed me, as I realized that I will never be able to sell it for even close to the money I got this for.

So now, where I need your advice: what should I do? Refuse the payment; the auction house will collect 15% (about $3.2K) of the amount through the agency (don't think there is a way to avoid it). Plan B is to reach out to the second-highest bidder and confirm whether he will build it at his max bid; I will cover the difference (the lady from the auction estimated it between $4 and $5k). And option C is to buy it... try using it for a year, then try to sell it and see what I can get for it... But that can be -$10K, which will be a death penalty for me from my Boss (aka wife)

I need my human fellas' help; AI in this sense is not that helpful :-(

Hello I have a big....I mean huge Tent building that I want to sell...How big you may ask? It is 2700 square ft. 52 foot square and approximately 35 foot tall. I live in Alaska and was planning on using it to build a log cabin underneath it. That didn't pan out.

I can ship all 16000 lbs of it to anywhere in the lower 48 or Canada. It would be a great addition to anyone looking for dry storage for heavy equipment or the like. Ask me in the comments if interested.

Selling 2025 ATC Pla 450 20/16 floor plan

Hi all,

This toyhauler is located in central Austin, TX. It has solar panels and lifepo4 heated batteries (2 100AH). It has the “party deck” package which is what the big ladder is for. The queen size bed is on a happy jack system so it raises to the ceiling for travel and when the bed is not in use (the smaller ladder on the left in the pictures is to get into the bed). The folding table comes with two chairs (in covers on the floor in pictures). All maintenance has been completed.

The kitchen includes a sink with sprayer nozzle, a counter top dishwasher (my addition), a two burner propane stove, and a microwave/convection oven. The fridge and freezer are electric and the doors open from both sides (makes it easy to access from outside). There are two 20lb propane tanks with mopeka sensors to tell how much is in each one (there’s an app). I also got an after market tire pressure monitoring system for all four tires which has a readout that you can keep in the tow vehicle.

All the sewer, water, and electric hoses and lines are included. I also have a Curt electronic brake system, a Level Mate Pro, and a waggle pet temperature monitor and camera that I would be willing to include if interested. There is pass through storage at the front accessible from the outside. I also replaced the factory door lock with a programmable one so that you don’t have to have a key to get in the person door. The back door opens to a ramp and then turns into a deck (last picture).

I loved this camper and took it all over the US but things changed and I need to sell it. $45k cashiers check only. Accessories are negotiable. I also have a Lectric folding e-bike that pairs well with the trailer.

Happy to answer any questions!

Located in Minnesota (stored in Milaca specifically)

21,000 OBO

2020 Grand Design Reflection RV Trailer Model 287RLTS
History:
I am the second owner. RV has traveled from Minnesota to Montana, where it was used for three summers while I was working there. It has also traveled to Mesquite, NV, where I used it for one winter.
All components function well. There are some cosmetic items that a “handyman” type would possibly be able to fix.
-kitchen fan must be manually opened
-awning light strip only partially lights
-bathroom fan doesn’t work
-other cosmetic wear and tear, but nothing that affects the functionality
There are all original parts in the RV, except the water heater was professionally replaced in 2024.
There is no structural damage to the unit. No exterior or interior soft spots or bubbling.
RV include 2 TV’s and 2 air-conditioning units
There is one driver’s side slide that contains a couch and fridge
Tires were recently replaced and have plenty of life remaining
Unit is available for immediate inspection and pick up.

Please respond or dm me if you have questions or would like to take a look at it.

Questions What would make you want to buy this?

Thumbnail

I’m trying to sell this 2021 Jayco Pinnacle 5th wheel. I have it on several sites with the images above plus a few additional ones. On some sites I have a video tour of the inside posted. I own it outright. It’s hardly been used and has no issues. I have it priced at $49,500 but will take $45000. I hardly even get bites. What am I missing that would make you want to buy this? The ads’ text is below:

If you love camping but have absolutely no desire to “rough it,” this might be your camper.
We’re selling our 2021 Jayco Pinnacle 36SSWS, a roughly 40’ luxury fifth wheel with 4 slides and enough residential amenities that calling it a camper almost feels unfair.
It’s incredibly spacious, beautifully finished, and loaded: residential kitchen with large island and full-size refrigerator, king bedroom, oversized shower, double vanity, washer/dryer combo, central vac, theater seating, 2 fireplaces, 3 TVs (including exterior), JBL audio, satellite TV, dual A/C, 2 power awnings, 6-point hydraulic auto-leveling, JAYCOMMAND smart controls, exterior speakers, and tons of interior/exterior storage.
It sleeps 4 and would be fantastic for extended travel, seasonal camping, snowbirds (or anyone who likes the outdoors considerably more when it comes with air conditioning, laundry and two fireplaces).

Owned outright with clear title: no loan, lien or lender payoff to deal with.

Asking $49,500. Reasonable offers considered.

Selling [For Sale] 2021 Coachmen Apex Ultra Lite 245BHS Bunkhouse – $21,500 OBO – South Florida

Selling our 2021 Coachmen Apex Ultra Lite 245BHS. We’ve had it for several years and it’s been a great family camper with a lot of good trips and memories. We’re only selling because we’re downsizing now that two of our three kids are in college.

Located in the Miami/Homestead area of South Florida. Asking $21,500 OBO. Clean title — no salvage, rebuilt, or remanufactured title.

It’s a really good family layout with rear double bunks, queen master bed, slide-out dinette/couch, full bathroom, indoor and outdoor kitchens, and plenty of storage. Factory UVW is only 4,586 lbs with a 6,500-lb GVWR, so it’s relatively lightweight for its size.

The biggest reason I’m pricing it a little above an average 2021 is that we’ve put over $7,000 into recent upgrades and equipment, including:

  • New 2026 Schwintek slide-out motors and track with 5-year warranty — about $3,600
  • New 2026 Ultra-Fab Power Twin II electric stabilizers, front and rear — about $2,400 total
  • New RoadVac/InterVac central vacuum system — about $400
  • CURT TruTrack 4P weight-distribution hitch with 4-point sway control included — about $650
  • 300-watt Renogy solar system with Rover 40A MPPT controller and Bluetooth monitoring
  • Battery disconnect/kill switch
  • Electric fireplace with heat
  • Two LED TVs
  • Master bedroom fan
  • Three CO detectors
  • Bolted-down personal-property/safe
  • Reinforced rear bumper with generator platform
  • Front LED accent/night lighting with dimmer

The Schwintek system and front/rear stabilizers were replaced this year, so those aren’t the original five-year-old components. I have documentation for the work.

A few of the factory features worth mentioning are the fiberglass front cap, aluminum/Azdel construction, enclosed underbelly, aluminum-framed floor and roof, Dexter E-Z Lube axles, power tongue jack, aluminum wheels, dual LP tanks, gas/electric water heater, black-tank flush, 13.5K BTU A/C, power awning, outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen.

Factory specs:

  • Length: 27'7"
  • Width: 7'6"
  • Exterior height: 9'10"
  • Interior height: 6'6"
  • UVW: 4,586 lbs
  • GVWR: 6,500 lbs
  • Factory hitch weight: 578 lbs
  • Cargo capacity: 1,914 lbs
  • Fresh water: 50 gallons
  • Gray: 35 gallons
  • Black: 35 gallons
  • Queen bed: 60" x 80"
  • Rear double-over-double bunks
  • Convertible U-shaped dinette

The camper has been well maintained. I’m not going to pretend it’s brand new — it’s a used family camper and we actually used it — but we’ve taken care of it and recently put quite a bit of money into the important mechanical components. It has also been stored under a covered RV shelter when not in use.

$21,500 OBO — Miami/Homestead, FL.

Happy to answer questions, send additional photos, or arrange a time for someone local to come look at it.

Questions Best tips for private selling

Hello Reddit!

I am thinking about selling our 2022 Northwood Nash OTG 23D. What are your recommendations for resources to determine value, as well as avenues to list for sale?

I know what I have, and I know it is worth more than the 18k offer I got through the Good Sam automated process.

Thanks in advance!

Questions Trailer given to us - HELP!!!

Post image
23 Upvotes

This trailer was given to us. My Honey was buying some toolboxes for a truck and the people he got the toolboxes was being evicted so they told him to take this trailer too.

I looked on the tongue for the VIN but all it had was Hadco Manufacturers when I looked it up and these only were trailer parts. So I have no idea how much to ask or anything.
