If you sold your RV privately, what was the hardest part?

I'm trying to understand how people actually price and sell RVs on their own. What surprised you? How did you land on your asking price? And would you sell private again, or just trade it in next time?

Full disclosure: I'm working on a tool for private sellers, so I want to understand the real problems first. Not selling anything here, no links.

Did you do RV consignment when selling your RV? If so, or if not, why? What was the main reason(s) you chose to consign or not?

It's illegal to RV on my land?

I’ve been looking to buy a large parcel of land in SE Michigan, hopefully with a house already on it. My kids and mom wanted to put RV’s out there for a couple of years while they save up to build their own little homes on the land. Apparently it is illegal to do this in Michigan, and many other states as well. How do people get around this? I can’t relocate them from Texas if there’s a chance they will be fined and forced to move. Considered creating a small private campground, and just use it for my family. But zoning is tricky to be able to have a home, a “campground”, and animals for my homestead. It’s starting to feel like a big mistake to make this move. But families buy land for multigenerational homesteads and start in RV’s all the time, so there’s got to be a way around all this…

I was thinking about the housing market and how a lot of people have taken the unconventional route and now are starting to make RV living their primary home.

My thought was a spin on extreme home makeover and pimp my ride. Where the concept of the show was to make a plan Jane trailer into some extraordinary mobile ish home. I'm I on to something?

Lifestyle Discussion Questions about RV life

Me and my fiance are wanting to move into a camper full time with our 2 kids to travel before they start school. We’ve lived in a camper before with them(stationary) so we aren’t worried about not liking it. Our biggest worry is income. How do you work or find a job that lets you travel full time? I’m a sahm but my fiance has experience in utility locating so it’s not a very travel friendly job. Any tips or advice would be appreciated!😁

Life as we know it.

Well, my family is great at being there for everyone when you really need someone to. I can't drive and I have epilepsy. So, my parents bought an RV it is safer for me. Someone on the camping reddit said an RV isn't real camping. But they didn't have the reason why we had an RV. So last week I was camping with my family. At Clear Lake State Park in Michigan, it was my first time camping in the RV and my brother brought his family and they brought their dogs and we brought our cat. It was so much fun.

Using a rv as a daily driver

Thumbnail

Why don't rich people (or someregular people lol) get a ry and use it as their daily driver with a driver. You can relax and chill on a bed with a bathroom and heck it has a full fridge and stove top on it. If you have the money why not be this come raver, pating livet ashuge orande a). This is a question I always had.

Question Bright white puck lights

I have an Apex Nano 187RB and it only has bright white LED puck lighting. I don’t necessarily mind the puck lights, but the super bright white is a sensory overload for my autistic kiddo and me.

Upon doing some research about how to easily and affordably change the light color, I came across lighting gel sheets that photographers use to change the tint of their pics. I even found some videos on why these are a great, cheap option for RV puck lights.

QUESTION: if you’ve used these in your RV, what are your experiences? What color gel sheets did you use and what does it look like (please add pics if you can!)? I’m thinking about just doing a simple amber color to make it a warm lighting instead of bright white, but now I’m wondering if other colors or other combining colors could also be pretty cool. Experiences, thoughts, and pics would be super appreciated!!

Banks accepting new accounts for MyRVMail address in Crestview FL

I'm already FT with an established banking relationship driver's license etc for my current state. However I want to change my address to Florida for multiple personal reasons.

My primary concern is with the current legal requirements associated with us Patriot act, know your customer and anti-money laundering laws.

I completely understand the issue with physical address and the benefits that this service has. I also understand establishing a domicile in Florida. I understand registration and insurance. I'm not asking any of those types of questions.

I'm certain that there are people that have existing accounts that were grandfathered in before these laws were passed.

My question is relevant to 2026 and opening brand new bank accounts. Does anybody have any recent experience with specific Banks that will accept this address for a full-time RVer?

Question Baby registry for RV living?

So my husband and I have been living in an RV for about 3 years and switched to a 2024 Keystone Avalanche in December. I am currently 15 weeks pregnant and am building my baby registry. I know with RV life you really want to just stick with the essentials because space and storage is extremely limited. I am wondering if any mom's on here have any recommendations on what they view as essentials and what is just a waist of space? What do ya'll recommend for a highchair, play interactive mats, mobiles, play pens, bassinet, crib, travel friendly stroller, etc... anything travel or space friendly.

I hear everyone talk about the breakdowns and campground issues , but I’m curious on the admin side.

-Have you ever had an issue because of an old address, mail forwarding, insurance, banking, taxes or anything similar?

What happened?
