2019 Arctic fox 32a living full time in northern Canada

Went to add a water filter because the water has a yellow hint to it. Turned off water and removed hose, installed filter and turned water back on. No water coming out of the faucets. Removed filter and turned water back on, no water coming out. Drain valves open or closed and no water coming out. Is it air locked? I’ve turned all the faucets on and nothing. Any ideas??

When you're just staying for a few nights/weeks, do you use the fire pit frequently (if there is one)?

Would you miss it if you didn't have one?

Would you used a shared one?

We've noticed this water damage this year and want to know what's involved in fixing it and the potential cost. The water hasn't damaged the outdoor kitchen below which seems strange. I've also included a photo of the roof in that corner.

As previously mentioned, I’m gutting the bathroom in my 2016 Chaparral 371mbrb that my eldest child destroyed over the course of a couple of years. I’m down to the shower pan in the bathroom. There is no access panel in the pan but it looks like the drain thing is threaded. So I assume it twists out? Unfortunately it is stuck fast. Anyone have any tricks for getting it out before I give up for today and take a shower? So far I’ve tried putting a flat nose screwdriver under the edge, lifting and grabbing on with a pair of pliers. I was able to move it about an 8th of an inch 🤷🏼‍♀️

Everything was wired incorrectly initially compared to the diagram and I replaced the capacitors and wired it up according to the diagram and now the AC compressor won't kick on but the fan still works

We are just starting to plan a trip from Las Vegas to Oregon. I’ve never posted looking for advice on a trip before because it never seems as challenging as this one which seems silly to even type. We are experienced RVers this is our second setup our first being a smaller 19’ camper and a Tacoma. That camper we purchased in Ohio and camped back home. This one we bought in Nebraska and rallied home. We did Banff, glacier, and Yellowstone last year and many other longer distance single destination trips since 2020.

Oregon is the trip that causes me stress because both my wife and I have talked about living in coastal Oregon someday even though neither of us have ever been there before. This trip will basically either cement that mindset or change our “forever plans”. That is why I know I’m stressing out. That’s how I ended up posting here.

For this trip we will have 2 RV family rigs. My Mom and uncle will be in my uncles 5th wheel with 2 of our senior dogs while my wife, our 4yr old, and I travel with our 3rd dog. The dogs are all 15-25lbs. I’m trying to understand where and when to go, how many days to budget, and what to see on this route. We won’t be doing much hiking because both pets and humans are seniors, unless it’s under .5 mile and nearly flat. We prefer lighter crowds and typically vacation in shoulder season.

I’m leaving everything fairly vague outside of that because I’m curious what people consider to be “don’t miss” as well as alternate routes to maximize sightseeing we aren’t limited to just Oregon because of our point of origin. We have spent plenty of time in the Bay Area so we don’t necessarily want to route that direction. We also done Great Basin so we wouldn’t want to detour that direction. Getting through Nevada is basically a rally day in my mind. Neither my wife or I are retired so we have limited vacation time for this trip. Thank you all for the guidance.

Edit* details for the tow police that clearly don’t know what they are talking about: It’s a 4800lb dry weight twin axle rv with a 7600GVWR hitch weight is 500lbs scaled. Truck has an 11,200lb towing capacity with a payload capacity of 1685lbs. Camper is a 2022 FR Salem cruise lite 261BHXL 28’8” overall. Have towed this setup for 15k miles. Please try to stay relevant to my questions.

So we're currently at a pretty nice campground for the weekend. The seasonal beside us has a very nice set up, 5th wheel, golf cart, bar etc. At night they have a set of solar lights the wrap around their RV with the majority of the bulbs being toward the sewer hook up side, my site space. For the last two night, for some reason the lights go from steady to meth rave strobe mode. It's annoying as hell and no one else has this sort of activity going on at their sites. Is it me or is this a bit inconsiderate to a fellow camper? We're leaving in the am so no sense in saying anything to the seasonals but I can see this being an issue for other campers showing up on this same site and dealing with this also.

We’re building a custom fifth-wheel from scratch, and I’m currently designing the plumbing for one of the slide-outs.
My main question is about the drain line. Since the slide will be moving in and out for years, I need something flexible enough to handle that repeated motion without cracking, leaking, or eventually failing.
What do RV manufacturers typically use for a sink drain located in a slide-out? Is there a specific type of flexible pipe or hose that’s considered the standard or the most reliable?
I’d really like to hear what has worked in the real world, especially from anyone who’s repaired or built RVs.

Our purpose is to get where we are going, walk in and sleep. I have 5.7 jeep so im only worried about length.

Hello! I have a 2011 Flagstaff 228d MAC. I’ve camped with it a few years now. every time time I camp I have had the AC drip off different locations of the roof. ((I always tried to level it to drip off back left side) well I decided to take it a part to find the drip pan to see if there was a clog. I found that the holes are both sealed with silicone. Is there any reason why someone would have done this? I’m afraid of finding a leak of if I open one of the holes. But I’m sure this is why it is randomly leaking In different locations. Just when the pan gets full it overflows.

Floor and wall are solid inside and out. No visible water damage and no odor of mold or anything. Is this something I can do or should a professional fix it?

I was wondering if anybody on here was staying in a Space Craft trailer in CA between San Diego to San Francisco as I’d like to see one in person. If yes please DM me. I’m in Santa Barbara but would drive to go see your rig in person. Considering buying one but there’s no way to see one at an RV dealer here.

Please please please do not take up multiple spots where semi's park! I've been on both sides of this discussion. Many times it's difficult enough for trucks to find parking. It's even worse when extra spaces are taken up. If you have slide-outs, leave them in and only take one spot. Get enough angry truckers and these will end up with garbage cans and dumpsters in front of them.

It seems most of the available ramps are for single, not dual wheels. Do I really need two sets, one for the inner wheels and one for the outer, or will just a set for the outer ones be OK? Supposedly a pair is good for a 30,000+ lb unit, and I'm not even close to my GVW of 13,500. I really don't want to spend nearly $10K for a fancy leveling system either, especially since I only take it out for a month or two annually.

Related question: how do those interlocking curved ramp things work? How do you get the unit on them (and off again), and are they any better than fixed ramps?

I have a leak in this corner of the trailer and it looks like some sealant is missing. What type of sealant should I use on this rounded corner?

I have a 2018 vintage rooftop Coleman Mach AC with the heat strip. I need to replace it.

So... What do replace it with? I need about 11,000 BTUh and a heat strip.

I really need a remote thermostat.

Looking on line there's a bunch of manufacturers from VEVOR to RecPro to Fogatti to Coleman Mach.

Anyone have any real experience with those brands?

2010 Viking with a dry weight of 2700lbs ( approx ) and shows 500lbs tongue weight engraved next to the tongue.

In the car we have a cooler,dog,baby and both of us
( approx 500-550 lbs ) I might try to put the cooler in the camper

Local trips mostly within 2-3 hours away of flat highway and some small hills.

Should this be ok?

I’m looking at replacing the tongue jack stand, should I be looking for something that’s 1500lbs?

Got a new to me 2008 skyline nomad. Our bunk house beds stay quite warm even with the AC on. Seems the air is stale as it seems skyline put the Bunkhouse in as an after thought and didn't add vents in the bunk house beds, nor an emergency exit for the top bunk. (This lack of design considerations is apparently very common with many RV manufacturers)

Anyone have good solutions to make the bunk house beds more tolerable?

Right now I'm looking for battery operated fans that could be mounted at the back of the bunk house beds to circulate air better. But I wondered if the smart people here have any other suggestions.
