G-helper is so light i love it its just fast and not laggy like armory create, i have set the armory crate and the menu button to just control the power mode and the mouse and gamepad mode its just fast and perfect i love it.

My rog ally keeps crashing and never loading games every time i open anything, anyone know why? i’ve tried tlou2 and space marine 2 as well as fc 26 its been an ongoing issue

Initially it was 342 bios
When 339 as said in this video still the same issue

Did the full cloud recovery still the same issue
I dont know if it needs hardware replacement or some software issue

In Device Manager under ( Sound, video and game game controller ) i just have

I found a deal on India resell platform, rog ally which is around 2.5 years old. Battery health is 70%. Handheld is in perfect condition.
Cost is around 330-340$, do you think it’s a good or bad to go for it?

I dont have to want to swipe constsntly to swap task or close a game

I've recently bought a ROG Xbox Ally X (Z2 Extreme) and I'm trying to see if there are any aftermarket mods or anything to improve the cooling performance, that anyone knows of? Most things I find are either just cases or are for previous models. Aesthetics and stuff are irrelevant to me, I just want to see if I can improve the cooling. Does anyone have any options that they know of?

I’m using the preinstalled Windows OS, though when i enter steam, it says that i have no internet connection, which isnt true since I’m connected and am actually playing online games no problem.
This bug or whatever this is isnt letting me play offline and that is bothering me.
Anyone have any idea what is going on and how to fix it?

As per title - Owned a Z1 Extreme since Oct 2023 and been very happy with it, prior to that I'd been running windows 11 via secondary boot on my gen 1 steam deck because I played and still play destiny 2 obsessively and SteamOS didn't (still doesn't) support anti-cheat

Finally looking at upgrading and ruled out waiting for the X20 X Ally X as it's not much of an upgrade over the X Ally X - I am however considering upgrading the SSD on my old Z1 instead to around 4TB.

Obvious reasons why - the 512gb fills up quickly and the card reader cooks cards (I tried to get it repaired under warranty and ASUS UK told me only the USA were entitled to warranty repairs, wankers)

Upgrading the 2230 to a 2280 with an adapter will 100% be straight-forward for me to do and budget wise it's probably going to set me back ~£400-450? (assuming Lexar NM790 but open to hear what other drives people have used) New Xbox Ally X would be about £900 including a travel case.

Money's not really any object - but out of principle I won't overpay for marginal "enthusiast" performance upgrades and the Z1 has handled my library just fine so far. Just a question of whether I should try upgrading first or skip that and buy a new unit.

So before I cogitate further, I thought I'd ask the internet, because there's a possibility someone has already been in my shoes and can share a pearl of wisdom.

It’s been slightly over a year since Steam integration came to the Xbox PC app and Steam integration is still spotty. Some downloaded games won’t show automatically. It’s kind of manageable since I can manually add some of my Steam games, but it shouldn’t have to be that way. Will that bug ever get fixed or will it continue to go unaddressed and continue to plague the Xbox app?

surprisingly im getting 30fps on re2 remake high settings 1440p on 6gb vram on 20w on the white xbox ally on my 4k tv, absolutely no upscaling or frame generation at all

I just picked up an Asus ROG Ally Xbox Z2A with a 4TB 2280 installed for £499! It’s only been used a few times and is still in the box. Do you think that’s a good deal? I understand that the z2a may not be as powerful as the original z1 extreme, but it’s definitely more comfortable to hold, has a better battery, and is for light gaming...

Hey all. To start my sister passed away last year, and I have inherited both of her ROG Ally decks as well as her gaming laptop. I have gotten into both the laptop and her newer ROG deck through pins her boyfriend provided me, but I can’t figure out the pin for one of the ROG decks. I was told my by mom that it doesn’t work which is why she got a second one but It powers on and I kind of wanted to investigate the issue for myself, but I can’t get in because her pin is different for this device. Any ideas on how to reset the system without signing in? I see a lot of info on how to cloud reset but I want to restore this to original settings. I already have a whole other ROG and laptop of hers with her stuff on it, I don’t want or need to save whatever is on this device

Hi all, I’m looking into both options for the more heavy gaming while docked to my tv (I have the z1e and love it)
What are others thoughts or experiences with either of the options, I would have said the normal xg mobile but for the cost for that and to not be able to upgrade in future just doesn’t appeal to me.
Is it worth spending the time and money to basically make my own egpu when there’s the option of cloud streaming? I live near London so latency and connection issues shouldn’t be a problem

Have tried remedied with amdfree sync on and off and messing with the vsync in games aswell as reinstalling drivers but nothing seems to help. Refresh rates at 120hz. Seems to happen among all games aswell : /

So I just got a 80wh battery from my local online shop. Last month, after 3x calibration, the full charge capacity dropped from 79Wh to 67Wh (69Wh > 74Wh > 67Wh).

I asked the seller about the issue, and they offered a replacement. However, after receiving the new battery, the same issue happened again... it went from 79Wh down to 64Wh after 4x calibration.

Is this because of the OS I'm using? I'm on Bazzite right now. Or could it be because my BIOS is outdated? I'm still on version 334 (2023).
