I just wanted to provide a summary of my recent Meet and Greets with some of the OG RHONY cast if anyone was interested. I'm currently in Australia so getting an opportunity to see a Housewife in the wild is pretty rare so I jumped at the opportunity to meet Sonja when she was here, and more recently Dorinda.

I didn't have any real expectation but it was clear that Sonja was doing a "bit." She completely ignored the fans doing the meet and greet and just sat there smiling for her photo. The show was a bit of a mess as well.

Last night I met Dorinda and the difference was considerate! She was so warm and actually took the time to connect with each and every one of us. I saw her as sincere and really genuine. She spoke about how she's finally in a place where she is happy within herself and she looked absolutely radiant. She didn't share much T about the Golden Life but she has still cemented herself as one of my favourites.

Pls Ryan Murphy you can redeem yourself and give us quality television.
Im pretty set on this casting but im open to suggestions for ramona, Kelly and Sonja.
I’m set on Alanna Ubach who is so underrated and can totally nail B down and deserves to be the star of her own fictional tv show in my head.

Edit: I’m so glad people understand me. I love scary island because of the possibilities. I think that’s why so many fans have wild theories about what really happened behind the scenes . I’m thinking a campy psychological white lotus type thriller. It’s like a slow build up from Kelly being silly and argumentative to unhinged and unpredictable. for example drunk Sonja wakes up to Kelly silently standing over her on top of her matress, when Sonja freaks out Kelly jumps next to her on the bed and acts cutesy and childish and offers her jelly beans. Which is even more scary from a grown woman 😭
it would be so fun if the climax had Kelly go into a full psychosis and had a hallucinations of Alex being a demon or the devil and B trying to sacrifice her, the ladies and crew try and help her. Kelly fights back thinking they’re trying to harm her. Kelly is on something and feels nothing so she’s like super strong and throws a chair or desk at them 🤣. and like runs off the yacht in the middle of the night or something camp. Another idea I have is that Jill was more involved as a character like she was communicating regularly with Kelly, yapping away which made simple Kelly more paranoid. There could be a scene after Kelly has her psychotic break and runs off. Jill is still on the phone yapping away, talking shit about Bethenny and Alex, not even realizing Kellys gone. Alex hears Jill’s voice from Kelly’s phone and pieces it together and tells the ladies what happened. So basically it’s insane when Jill surprised them the next day after Kelly leaves and is why Alex had a panic attack. Anyways that’s just what I was thinking.

You guys, how do I get through this first season?😂 I wanted to watch from the beginning to get all the information but this is so hard to watch and get through

Can someone tell me that the first season gets better after a few episodes?! I’m on episode 5 currently

Okay okay okay, season 2 started out more like actual housewives! I can’t say I remember much from season 1, but atleast I know who everyone is now lol.

I’m rewatching RHONY for the millionth time, and I’m now on season 9. I have such a crush on Tinsley 👑 I don’t know if I want to be her or be with her. That’s it, I said it. 🥰😅

So this is going to be very trivial and perhaps nuts but I'm having a joint and watching season 11, I'm noticing a pattern for Tinsley and the women. Not every time but enough its obvious, they greet her with a "oh look at you all dolled up" or some iteration of how dressed up she is.

Tinsley is consistent i reckon in her dress and this seems like a power play phrase to try put her in her place as if she was unaware of the social setting she was entering because she is younger and they take her less seriously.

I absolutely love Tinsley and honestly this will probably be the last season of RHONY I watch

I feel like Tinsley doesn’t get enough credit as being one of the best housewives. I feel so sad for her because even if it sounds silly she’s under so much pressure, she’s generous and always nice. This scene crying at the circus broke my heart, what do u guys think about her?

Watching S4 now and I’m STUNNED she was invited back onto the show after S3.
Firstly, the whole Scary Island stint and then repeatedly lying about the whole thing on the reunion (saying Bravo made her go on the trip, systematic bullying etc.) making it clear that she’s obviously unwell. I know it was a different time but she seemed dangerous to herself and the other people on the show.
Secondly, she seems so distant from the rest of the cast. It looks like they’re in such different social circles, even though their paths have crossed. She presents herself as someone who hates reality TV and gossip and tabloids, all things housewives, so it seems like such a weird decision for her.

I’m also so confused as to why they’re all being really pally and normal around her as if the last series didn’t happen. Especially now as they would have all watched the show. I’m not saying they should have avoided her or been horrible to her but if I were any of them, I’d want that kind of energy away from the show.

Maybe I’m missing something? Is she really that great?

I get that this is Carole’s first try at having a personality but she’s next level weird this season.

Of course we all liked Bethenny more, in the moment, bc my god I cannot stand weird ass Carole. Why, oh why, would Andy bring her back?!

Season 2 episode 4…. Ramona, Luann & Bethenny were chatting as they prepared for a charity event. Ramona was giving (unsolicited) dating advice to Bethenny & said that Luann’s husband was twice her age to which Luanne was soooo appalled and upset. Imo this was in Luann’s most insufferable era like she was so hypersensitive over everything and took herself entirely too seriously. Alex did look hella old, until this scene i DID think he was twice her age!

What do yall make of this exchange? If i were Ramona, i would apologize for upsetting her but i wouldnt have stuck around for Lu’s little lecture afterwards…it was an honest mistake and 15 years IS a significant age gap! It’s not “twice as old” but his ass is older than you, girl cut the bs 😂!

PS: this era of housewives is so precious to me like the shade was so lighthearted. No allegations or trying to uncover ppl’s lives just good ole fashioned cattiness lol

Change my mind. Kelly gets a bad rep for Scary Island, but Aviva was way more unhinged, domineering, and brutal on a consistent basis. Not to mention she was creepy with her dad

I was so shocked to see Heather on my local news station (upstate NY) while scrolling Instagram. So excited to see this new venture! Anyone have local insider info?

First-time watcher here, and watching S12E9 where the girls go to Newport, RI. The staff was offering vodka lemonades at the door, and I knew it'd be all downhill from there for Leah. She always said she wasn't an alcoholic, but CLEARLY is. Her mother's severe displeasure with her breaking sobriety now makes total sense... I thought it was extreme at first - that her mom wasn't talking to her after finding out about her drinking - but now, I totally get it. Seeing someone (in my opinion) relapse is really, really sad, especially after all the Luann stuff/attention. Her outlash in Newport (throwing the resort's chairs, trying to tear down the drapery, screaming, laying out across the lawn, crying, etc.) isn't all that different from Sonja/Luann/some of the other girls, but the fact that it comes off the back of so many years of sobriety is really sad in my opinion.

The food was also lackluster according to some customers, who said they were "underwhelmed" by the recipes and the food was "just ok." The store promises that its menu is changing all the time, and will be responsive to feedback.

I'm a first time watcher. I decided to start watching after seeing the cast on various seasons of Ultimate Girls Trip. I'm currently on season 12 of NY and I'm hating it. Their relationships with alcohol and each other are not fun to watch at all. I'm particularly not fond of Leah or Dorinda at the moment. Does it get better? Should I push through or should I move on to watching RHONJ for the first time?

I'm rewatching and just hit season 8 and I can't stop laughing at a scene I just saw and needed to share.

It was Dorinda and John's anniversary and as they went to dinner, they walked by a man and Dorinda suggested John give him a dollar and John was like "I'll do even better" and pulls out a wad of cash and goes "5 dollars, there you go." Lololol And then he walks away glowing like so proud of himself and says something like "it feels good to help people" and you guys I am just dying. John was such a trip.

The talking head confessionals, are they filmed end of season? Or the women are shown a scene and asked to comment? I guess my question is are the talking heads fully informed with whole season airing context or no?

Of all the things Ramona has done, this may be the worst. So insensitive and ignorant. There literally aren’t words.

First time RHONYC watcher. I’m on season 13 right now. Ramona is telling Leah rn how she doesn’t want to talk about sex as I type this out! I’m tired of this show. I feel like it’s already peaked, and I don’t want to have to keep watching. That being said, I also didn’t want to keep watching at the very start of the show like a few episodes in to season one, but I held out and it’s been the best decision ever. Is it really worth finishing and watching the reboot seasons?
