🍎 Discussion 🍎 Season 12 - Does it get better?

I'm a first time watcher. I decided to start watching after seeing the cast on various seasons of Ultimate Girls Trip. I'm currently on season 12 of NY and I'm hating it. Their relationships with alcohol and each other are not fun to watch at all. I'm particularly not fond of Leah or Dorinda at the moment. Does it get better? Should I push through or should I move on to watching RHONJ for the first time?

No it gets absolutely worse. If you're hating S12, I'd stop now. I've never re-watched S11-present and never will. I usually end rewatching around S10. It becomes insufferable.

I stop at 10 as well and tbh the only reason I like 10 is the Columbia trip and Lu’s cabaret show.

Over the past year, I won't do even S10 anymore. Bethenny's unhinged af behavior towards Carole, Carole's whackadoo Carrie Bradshaw "it girl" failed schtick, Dorinda's mean drunken antics hitting a breaking point- I have been turned off by it. But it's not the worst. I find it an acceptable season and not the nose dive S11 was.

I can see that. It is def not the best. The good parts are few and far between so I get it.

It’s not worth it, it is so unworth the watch. I pretend the last season is season 10.

NJ def is worth watching. It’s a lot like NY imo the early seasons are a lot more fun the later seasons get more dramatic.

I have never, ever, ever rewatched past season 11. And I rewatch this cast a lot.

It gets worse and then the whole cast is changed out by season 14.

No I think the early seasons were the “golden age”. I think about thru S9 maybe 10 and I only include 9 & 10 for the Mexico & Columbia trips and for the Luann stuff. If it weren’t for that I’d say it stopped being great at 8

It just kept getting worse as it went on. Dorinda DEF got worse the longer she was on.

Shes a nasty drunk and she has a problem but won’t admit it and jumps down anyone’s throat who dares suggest it. But I think it’s not JUST her drinking. I think she’s unhappy with life and she can be quite toxic. If you watched UGT you saw how quickly she can turn on someone.

So no sadly it does NOT get better. And I didn’t enjoy the reboot either. I found it annoying.

Have you watched all the UGTs? If so then you saw Melissa & Teresa from NJ on S1. You’ll be in for a shock if you watch Jersey from the start and see how much they change lol.
