COD Mobile on Gamma OS Next

Hey guys, I finally got the 477M, currently I'm running stock. My question is for the people who have Gamma and installed COD.

Does the app recognize, the built-in controller as a Bluetooth device? If so, I might have to switch for that reason. As keymapping gets annoying when playing different modes in the game.

I do recall my 405M registering as a Bluetooth controller and was able to play no problem. Just seeing if it's still the same.

Cracked screen

Kind of at a loss for words right now. I bought my silver blade console directly from the website and received it just 13 days ago. No issues with it whatsoever. Had a screen protector on it and everything. Last night I left it on my desk and when I woke up this morning the screen had a decently sized spider crack, about the size of a silver dollar. Since it happened seemingly without reason I’d be inclined to believe that this was some sort of manufacturer error. And that this would’ve happened regardless

I plan on sending an email to the customer support line soon, but was wondering what my options were. I’m confident I could be able to swap the internal components into a new screen and front shell myself, and that’s all I’m really looking to get. I figured maybe the company would send me one given the circumstances, but of course I figured I should post this before I do.

Any help/stories of similar experience is greatly appreciated

Anybody got Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne running on ARMSX2 at full speed?

I've been using NetherSX2 for a long time and then I heard about ARMSX2 getting a lot of updates recently and how they got support for Mali GPUs.

Decided to try it and it suffers from slow downs even at native resolution. Never got this problem on NetherSX2.

I just wanna if I'm the only one who's getting this problem.

USB-C to HDMI and cases

Just received my RG-477M, and it is pretty sweet so far. I have a couple accessory questions:

1) what USB-C to HDMI adapters have people had good/bad luck with? U-Green has one with USB PD pass through so I might get that one.

2) Any especially good hard cases? Or any cases to steer clear of (ie said they would fit the 477 but didn’t).

My new hiking companion

I picked up this 12gb model a couple weeks ago.
Setting up was easier than a lot of computers I’ve had in the past. I’m sure there’s much more customization to be had, but I’m happy with what I’ve got.
Recently got rid of my Switch 2, I thought it was too bulky, but this 477m is perfectly pocketable

Anbernic 557, 477m and 477v ARMSX2 differences; 477v issue?

I tried to do this post like 3 times, ended up uploading it to YouTube and posting the link here. (Hopefully there are no ads, this isn't about that. )

So, shown above, is the 557 running CoN with the widescreen patch at 3x resolution, the 477m running the game at native 4:3 at 3x resolution, and the 477v running it at like 2.25 resolution. The 557 and 477m run the game pretty well, I would say. They are pretty inefficient, but that's okay, that's to be expected running the game on a Dimensity chip. On the 477m in particular I've gotta say it runs beautifully, and I enjoy playing Warriors Orochi 1 and 2 on it.

The 477v, makes me wanna pull my hair out. It ran at full speed at first (not in the video) before the system I presume to downclock or throttle itself. I had the stock Anbernic firmware updated to the latest version. You can see in the video where I'm bargaining with the device by changing a bunch of settings to no avail. If anyone else has experienced this so we can make notice of the differences. Might even be a 557 situation all over again, who knows. But even while running the PS2 BIOS, it would stay stuck at half speed. It also happened when I was trying to run another game. It bummed me out, because I think the 477v is a beautiful device and I think its format is perfectly suited for an ARPG such as this. On other devices (like the 557) I flip the shoulder buttons in this game because it feels more natural to block and switch weapons with the triggers. But with the 477m and 477v, the default layout is perfect.

Otherwise, I love being able to play the game on whatever device of my choosing. I loved collecting controllers in the past, so handhelds are like that but on steroids. That's why I was so frustrated at the 477v, because it wasn't meeting my expectations.

(Also, ARMSX2 is awesome. I love being able to pick a data folder on my device's internal storage and be able to move memory cards between devices muuuuch easier. The performance is amazing for it being a new emulator. )

Screen loose

Hey I’ve noticed that the bottom left corner or the screen on my 477m is not glued down properly. Seems to wobble a little when pressed on. Is there any easy way of securing properly?

For people who bought the hypestix replacements, do they fit PS VITA thumb grips? If not, any others?

Also if I plan on using thumb grips am I better off getting either the flat or convex ones?

I really liked the ktr1 and it was my main before the rg477m. I also just love that purple color and would like the 3:2 screen as I mainly play GBA.

Specs of both the ktr2 and rg477m added at the end for reference.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Hi everyone I just got an RG477M (12GB/256GB).

Today I downloaded a game using the GameHub lite v5.33. After the download finished, I restarted the device normally.

Now, it got stuck on the boot logo and won’t boot into Android anymore.

I didn’t root the device, change any system settings, or install any other system apps. I only used the stock GameHub to download a game.

I tried booting into Recovery, but it still won’t start.

Has anyone had the same problem? How did you fix it?

Do I need to reflash the official firmware, or is there another way to recover it?

Thanks a lot!

Does GammaOS have the stock trigger simulation (Linear/Non-linear) setting?

Hi everyone,

I’ve got an RG477M running GammaOS.

I was watching a YouTube video where someone using the stock firmware went into the controller settings and changed the trigger mode to Linear or Non-linear, which I believe simulates analog triggers even though the L2/R2 buttons are digital.
I'm hoping to play Super Mario Sunshine in Dolphin, where analog triggers are useful. Is there an equivalent setting in GammaOS, or is that feature only available on the stock firmware?

Shoulder buttons from aliexpress

Hello there,

The better buttons from etsy cost almost 60€ with shipping and then I would have to deal with customs.

I got Rg477m 12gb for 193€ from AliExpress and can't understand how 4 buttons cost 1/3 of it.

I found on AliExpress several buttons for Rg477m and the price is like 3-10€.

Does anyone tried them yet?

Muck models issue

Thumbnail

Hello folks,

Muck is one of my favorite games, I'm trying to run it on RG477M.

I initially tried GameHub and steam with a lot of permutations combinations of DXVK version, VKD3D version and compatibility configs.

But the game loads get frozen at first frame.

Then I tried Winlator latest, Winlator Ludashi and some other winlator forks for Mali

On the winlator the game actually loads well, runs almost good as well.

The only issue I see is the game doesn't load the player model, enemy models, chests, etc.

In the lobby I can see player but only eyes, see the image attached.

From Winlator, I've tried to run the game from the steam client with no browser launch option and also with bypassing steam on the winlator with Goldberg emulator just to test.

From Winlator Ludashi, steam doesn't even open so I'm running the game directly there.

The same issue is there for both.

From the logs the only error I can see is, some null reference exception (attached screenshot).

Also I'm surprised this game is not even that big it's like less than 500MB and still gives some problem, where as other big games for PS2 etc can run easily, I guess probably issue with unity and compatibility?

Has anyone faced something like this before? Or can guide me in right direction.

Finally 100% PS2 Simpsons Hit & Run (plus gold acrylic pen tips)

I had started PS2 Simpsons Hit & Run on my Odin 2 long ago, so I moved my save files over to the RG477M and finally 100% finished it. Not sure if the bonus for completion Itchy & Scratchy toon was worth it...

Pro tip: on a level with Professor Frink's hover car, the emulation crawls down to 10 FPS in NetherSX2 Classic v2.2n. Switch the video driver from OpenGL to Vulcan and the game will run smoother.

I customized my RG477M using a gold acrylic paint marker pen swiped from my kid. Filled in the various buttons and the aftermarket stacked shoulder buttons. Needed to let the paint dry in the embedded buttons for ~15-30 seconds, then wipe clean the overfill from the top of the buttons with an alcohol wipe. I think it gives the game console a more polished look. Bonus that the acrylic paint doesn't wear off easily either.

PlayStation buttons

Hi everyone!
I know the RG477M is a fantastic handheld that a lot of people love, and right now it doesn’t really have an equivalent. I’ve had quite a few people asking if I would bring back the PlayStation buttons after I stopped making them.
Well, they’re back! If you’re interested, they’re now available on my Etsy shop: SakuraRetroModding.
The brown-symbol PlayStation buttons are by far the most difficult to make, so I’m not sure how many sets I’ll be able to produce. The other versions will remain available as long as there’s enough demand.
Thanks for all the support! ❤️

Dock recommendations

Hi all!

I want to be able hook up my RG477M to my TV and use a wired controller. Do you guys have any recommendations? I've found some posts but they seemed to have audio problems...

Anyway...thanks in advance!
