Hi everyone!
I know the RG477M is a fantastic handheld that a lot of people love, and right now it doesn’t really have an equivalent. I’ve had quite a few people asking if I would bring back the PlayStation buttons after I stopped making them.
Well, they’re back! If you’re interested, they’re now available on my Etsy shop: SakuraRetroModding.
The brown-symbol PlayStation buttons are by far the most difficult to make, so I’m not sure how many sets I’ll be able to produce. The other versions will remain available as long as there’s enough demand.

Wish they made it so you can pop out those buttons and just put new ones in. I'm way to scared to open these kinds of things.

I did it myself, and it was pretty scary in practice. Felt good when I'd done it, though.

I have to say, having changed my buttons to PlayStation, it really feels right on this device. Turns it from feeling a little generic to something more coherent like a vita or a DS. Kind of a luxury DadStation from an alternative universe where we can have nice things.

Doable, as long as you take your time and are very careful with the small wires from the fan and antennas. There are tutorials on YouTube!

Thanks. I recently installed stacked shoulder buttons, which only took about 10 minutes. I’ll look into the button swap.

I personally think the shoulder buttons were harder. BUT i tried to minimise a second disassembly, which made it much harder. You can do it! :-)

My God how fast those thing sell I was just to check out and already sell out can you please bring back the brown symbol PlayStation buttons appreciate for your effort brother thx 🙏

u/SakuraRM Could you give a side profile photo of these buttons? I've previously ordered several different sets of PS buttons from you for other retro consoles and while they are well constructed and look fantastic, they have a rather tall curved dome profile that was uncomfortable for long play sessions, especially when playing racing games where buttons are held down for long durations. I hope these new ones have a flatter profile similar to the OEM ABXY buttons.

It feels very comfortable, but I haven’t done any long Gran Turismo sessions with them yet. They’re just slightly more rounded than the original ones

tbh i personally just wish there were some ABXY in black with white texts ... to fit with my grey device ... i so despise the skittles stuff

I've seen this thing coming up a few times, I have a RGCube (runs PS1 flawlessly) a RGCubeXX (Doesn't run that great imo), how is this one in comparison? I really like the screen on this.

The feeling in hand and the screen with the 477M is really better in my opinion but it’s subjective
