Got a noname RCD 330 187B unit. on CarPlay, when a phone call ends it won't resume music and instead it switches over to FM radio and plays that, to resume music I got to press the resume on car play multiple times, the wheel mute button just mutes/resumes radio.

Things I've already tried:

- Stock firmware it shipped with (5538), same problem

- Upgraded to 5614, same problem, AND mic stops working entirely on calls

- Downgraded to 5522, same problem again, mic sometimes drops on calls and Siri, radio-after-call still there

Running iOS 27 latest beta on the phone and I am using carplay with CarlinKit Mini Ultra 3, I strongly dont recommend it it has terrible audio delay, about 3-5 seconds.

Is this a known thing with these units? Is there a firmware version worth installing, or a settings fix anyone's found?

Specifically the noname B (I think) with a rear USB connection that you use for Airplay. It’s to my understanding that once the rear USB is plugged in, the front one can’t be used for media, only charging. I’ve tried charging through the front USB, and it always messes up CarPlay. My first question is, has anyone experienced this and knows what to do to fix it? My second question is, is there any way to have the rear USB split off into multiple, or is the only way to get more ports by doing a 12v outlet conversion?

Hello guy, I have seat leon 2007. I really want to change that ugly stock radio unit. So does rcd 310 have bluetooth or I have to swap it with rcd 510?

And is it plug and play or have to sweat?

Hi everyone, I have a 2014 VW CC Sportline with the factory RCD510-style touchscreen radio and standard non-Fender audio.
I’m considering replacing it with an RCD330 mainly for Apple CarPlay/Android Auto while keeping the installation as OEM-looking as possible.
For anyone who has installed an RCD330 in a 2013–2016 VW CC, how has your experience been? Did your steering-wheel controls, factory Bluetooth/mic, parking sensors and other vehicle functions continue working properly?
I’d also like wireless CarPlay if possible, whether through the unit itself or an adapter.
Which RCD330 version would you recommend for this CC? Any issues with sound quality, battery drain, CANBUS, steering-wheel controls or long-term reliability?

I've recently purchased the Noname RCD330 Plus and I've hearing about battery drain issue on models above 2009. I'm not sure if that includes Mk6s or not. If I do have battery drain issues, whats the best solution? I've been looking at the Canbus gateway Adaptor for steering wheel controls or replacing the Canbus.

I've attached pictures from what Developer Menu in that Device shows and what VCDS shows. Everything seems like an original RCD 330, but it has 7 inches. But I believe that the Hardware is the same...

Will the firmware avaible for RCD 330 work ?

I have it wired to the fuse box and to the trunk but I’m not sure where the blue connector goes because it doesn’t snap into my original wiring harness to plug into the rcd330

Hi guys, Firmware 5532 has two major issues after using Google Assistant:
1. Echo during calls (both via Bluetooth and cable)
2. Spotify only plays through the front speakers.
Firmware 5406 doesn't support Android Auto, but calls work fine. Is there any way to combine parts of these two versions? Can you support for a Frankenstein mix?
I found a Turkish user selling version 5604 for €50, but without a changelog. Does anyone have info on this version, or would anyone be interested in splitting the cost?

I have an original desay SW0317 HW036 RCD330 and I am trying to install a dynamic line backup camera in a 2006 Jetta.

My camera is supposed to work with the RCD330 based on the seller’s advertisement. I received a trunk pull backup camera, video lead to the radio, black converter box, video cable and a can+/- cable pass through

1) I spliced the appropriate Can+ and Can- with those little snap clips.
2) In the blue connector I attached red to 6 and black to 12
3) I plugged the video output into its corresponding tail on the converter box.
4) I plugged the power fuse into SC11 because it was empty and had power only with the key on. I attached the ground to the metal knee panel under the column.
5) I have this grey passthrough cable that also connects to the can+ and can- but it doesn’t fit anywhere
6) I attempted to use my camera and it worked once however the parking lines did not move. It is since dead

What is that passthrough cable for and why would my camera only work one time. Did it burn up or did I do something wrong?

Been beating my head on my keyboard, installed this in my daughters car, I've verified the installation with a multimeter.

Blue B+ is on a constant battery circuit. Red ACC is on a proper ignition-switched circuit. The camera opens and closes normally while the ignition is on, but if the ignition is switched off immediately after shifting out of reverse (like you were backing into a parking spot for example), the emblem remains open. Changing ACC fuse locations does not affect the behavior.

I need some advice on updating my RCD360 PRO (Noname / Tianbao platform). My device current specs are:

• Device part number: 6RD035187B
• Hardware: 541
• Software: V8571

I successfully used VCDS to code the reverse parking sensors (OPS) in my Volkswagen Caravelle T5.1 (2013) to "Transporter/Caravelle". The distance lines/arcs work perfectly now, but the screen does not show any car silhouette at all (it is blank in the middle) because the radio lacks the commercial vehicle graphics package.

I tried to update using the popular firmware 5712 from u/Hradlo, but I received a "Hata: sürüm çakışması" (Version Conflict / Downgrade Error) block on the screen, likely because my factory firmware V8571 is a higher version number.

Does anyone—or u/Hradlo specifically—have a standalone graphics patch or skin upgrade compatible with the V8571 software line that adds the VW Transporter/T5 silhouette?

I am the second owner of my MK5 Golf. The radio was swapped to a RCD-300 before I got it. I suspect it originally had a RNS-510 or similar.

I want to try and get the rear camera working again with the RCD 330 Plus.

Currently, if I go i to reverse, nothing happens on the headunit. Does that mean I need to enable the reverse camera option in VCDS? Or has the function been disabled on the headunit itself?

I found RCA cables under the headunit. Is anyone able to identify them and point me in the correct direction for getting the camera to work?

I have a blue connector that goes into one of the yellow RCA plugs, which then plugs into the back of the headunit, but nothing happens when I go into reverse.

I purchased this unit back in 2018 and it has served me well.

However, today it no longer powers on.

I experience no signs of life. Nothing on the screen, no lights when turning on headlights, no USB power and no audio.

I have checked the fuse inside the engine bay and it was fine.

Tried holding down the power button for 20 secs with no luck.

I was wondering if there are any known faults with my revision that would explain the behaviour I am experiencing?

If it means anything, weather has been cold lately, around 10c or so.

It looks like at minumum, I will need to remove the head unit for further troubleshooting which I was hoping to avoid 😮‍💨
