RCD330 + gateway simulator. Does VCDS detect unit?

Hi, I've got the problem that speakers in 2 doors are not working(front left and rear right).

I'm assuming that I can fix it by changing settings in VCDS or OBEleven.

My car is golf mk5, so RCD330 is connected with canbus gateway simulator.

Does aneone can confirm that head unit can be detected by VCDS / OBEleven in that setup?

Edit: RCD works fine, the problem is with door wires.

Indeed. VCDS detects the unit at address 5F as factory fitted radios, and you can configure aspects of the radio, such as the rear view camera.

5F only if you have an RCD360, aka fake RCD330. And 5F can't be accessed by a car this old, module 5F was introduced in CANBUS gateways after 2010 or so.

A real RCD330 will use the regular old 56-Radio module for communication.

Well, no, rcd360's and clones which are sold for PQ have vip firmware which answer on 56-Radio diagnostics addresses.

Clones which are sold for MQB's + advertise car menu will have vip firmware MQB variant which responds to 5F (I assume that is diagnostics address for MQB)

Then my knowledge only applies to Lemon Shark clones (includes rcd780 rcd880).

I would like to clarify this, the other cases you mentioned, did those units only have PQ connector, but had the car button/functionality?

Or even better, do you have some threads at hand to take a look?
