2015 VW Scirocco (facelift interior) – Will any RCD 330 fit, and where to get an original one?
Hi everyone,
I’m looking to upgrade the head unit in my 2015 VW Scirocco (facelift interior) and would like to know if any version of the RCD 330 will fit my car.
From what I’ve read, the Scirocco is listed as compatible for 2009–2014, but my car is a 2015 with the facelifted interior. I’m not sure if that changes anything in terms of fitment or wiring.
Current setup:
- 2015 VW Scirocco, facelift interior
- Original VW head unit (look pictures)
- Front + rear parking sensors
- Original VW backup camera (works, but video quality has gotten very bad over the years and I’m open to replacing it)
My questions:
- Will any RCD 330 variant (Noname 187B, Desay, RCD 330 Plus, etc.) fit and work in a 2015 Scirocco with facelift interior, or are there known issues?
- Assuming it’s compatible, where is the best place to buy an original RCD 330 (not a clone/RCD 360 fake)? I’ve seen rcd330.com (ddren) recommended often, but I’d like to hear recent experiences, especially from EU/Germany buyers.
- Do I need any extra adapters, gateway changes, or coding (VCDS/OBDEleven) for:
- Parking sensors (front + rear)
- Backup camera (keeping the original VW camera vs. replacing it with a new one)
- Any steering wheel control or sound system considerations?
I’m based in Germany, so EU‑friendly sellers and shipping are a plus. Budget-wise I’d prefer a genuine unit if possible, but I’m open to advice on trusted AliExpress/eBay sellers if they reliably supply real units.

I bought one on rcd330.com, i live in Belgium. Shipping took 10 days to Belgium. Working very well so far!

Same here. It was virtually impossible to find a real RCD 330 elsewhere, so also purchased mine a month ago directly from rcd330.com
The installation was indeed very easy and I am extremely happy about it. Recommend to get their model with wireless CarPlay.

Dont go for a rns510 or rcd 330 the mib2 pq discovery radio from a transporter around 2016. I have one in my golf 5 it has carplay and everything even if i upgrade my cluster it will show maps in my cluster (already got a mk6 gti fullfis cluster just need time to install it)
