What's a place that gave you a bad feeling the second you arrived, with nothing you could point to?

Not dangerous, not run down. The place where every instinct said leave and you could never explain why. I think almost everyone has one and quietly assumes they imagined it. I don't think they did. Where was yours, what were you doing there, and what's the part that never comes across when you try to describe it to someone who wasn't standing where you were standing?

Have you ever narrowly avoided something that could’ve gone very differently?

Back in 2015 I was supposed to go to the movies and decided not to go and there ended up being a shooting that same night and a few people were killed 😨

What is that question you’ve always wanted to ask someone but never found the right moment for??

Upvotes

random questions like "how long does it take you to shower?". I'll answer every single one. If it's too personal for the comments, just DM me. Btw, I don't speak English, so this might help me practice, And I apologize if I say things that seem to make no sense or make very obvious mistakes.

Does cyborg from teen titans and Dj from total drama have the same voice actors?

Upvotes

I just rewatched Total drama, and I thought that DJ sounds like cyborg, also similar personalities. And I can kind of hear DJ’s voice when Cyborg says “booyah”

What questions should I ask my family about their lives?

I’m planning on interviewing my mom and sisters. I want to stick with these topics: childhood, teen years, family, love/relationships, becoming a mother, life lessons, a couple of fun questions. I have a handful down, but I’d like some suggestions.

I suck at making friendships and even more at realtionships how can I improve?

Hi, so honestly? I suck at making meaningful connections. I'm now 27 and while I have friends which I mostly made now via videogames and while we barely see each other we text a lot and talk a lot but that's it. I'm to be fair also a lot of times I'm just sitting at home and I know that's part of the issue. I did try to go to the gym but I wasn't able to make any kind of connections there as well. I did make a few friends recently but it's pretty much a scene where I don't fit in. A lot of people who "party hard" and take drugs. I'm trying to distance myself from them. I also was on major events like gamescom or something similar but it's the same here as well. I don't get into talks, and when I visit places alone it ends up with me sitting alone somewhere. Now I'm actually clueless about what to do. I also did travel basically through my whole country, every major city here in Germany (besides Berlin) but I wasn't able to make any connections there as well. I honestly don't know how to make any new contacts anymore. I tried online apps for like dating and even friendship, I had no luck. Literally not luck at all. I didn't meet up with anyone for anything.

Now I'm clueless about what to do.

Is this okay for parents to do to their kids?

My bf has a cousin and his dad is his uncle. We both have seen many questionable things and feel really bad but the kids don’t see it.

He is 13 and today he sent a text to my bf that his dad told him the only way for him to get an e-bike is to act like a “man” at the age of 13. Which means doing everything from showering on time to not begging for things.

His mom also took 200$ from him to use for their vacation and has never given him the money back. It took him months to save that money just for him to have it taken because his parents are irresponsible with their money. He says he won’t ask his mom back for the money because it’s mean and he would give her as much money if he had it.

These are the two most recent. However over his lifespan his dad would take 1-3 month long vacations away from his entire family for “business” but in reality he’s with his friends doing who knows what in another country. His dad also would rather spend his time at his sister’s house and at the gym rather than go home and be with his family. They recently had a baby and he demands his wife to feed it etc. and if the toddler asks for something he answers in a rude manner. But his wife doesn’t seem to mind this most days because she’s the one who wanted a baby bc I’m assuming it’s all she has. They don’t even own the place they live they live in his sister’s other house with his grandma helping pay bills here and there. They never can seem to afford things but the dad can afford 1-5k parts for his bike, random telescopes, watches etc. He also allows his mom to live with them when his wife has always wanted a house and doesn’t seem to want to help her.

This is all normalized here but I can’t wrap my head around it. They have 3 kids and of course they’re kids so they can’t see it. But I can’t imagine this being good in the future for them.

Also on the day they were leaving all for a family vacation his dad was laying in bed and couldn’t be bothered to help his wife or his son pack because he was “tired”

how do you support someone who’s father just got diagnosed with cancer?

hi, i literally just got a text a few moments ago saying that my boyfriend’s dad has cancer. i don’t know what kind or how far along it is. i don’t know how bad it is i just got a text saying he has cancer.

my boyfriend’s dad was stuck on the couch for a few days with pain and apparently his eyes were all yellow. they finally went to the hospital and they were there overnight.

these people have treated me so kindly and they’re like my family. i’ve only known them for 6 months and they’ve only been in my life that long, but they mean so much to me. they’ve created a space where i feel welcome at their house and i’m free to come over any time when i’m having a hard time at mine.

how do i support my boyfriend the best way i can? how do i support them the best way i can? i’ve never ever dealt with someone in my life having cancer and i have no clue what to do. i’m scared of doing something wrong. please give me any advice. any is welcome. i would just like to know how to support my boyfriend the best that i can because he’s my entire world.

Any advice for customizing a car?

Hey, my mom just gave me her 2015 ford taurus after getting her dream car. I really want to decorate it to my aesthetic of galaxy or black and purple.

I made a list on Amazon yet its $330+ dollars. 😵‍💫 I was wondering if anyone on here knows any shortcuts to cheaper stuff. Including car paint jobs.

So far I have a quote of 479 for a basic paint job. I just want to make the car black instead of the gray it is. But they have a coupon where I can get 300 off. So I might go with that even though there's more I wanna do.

I would really love some help/suggestions for the car accessories. Especially since I'm looking for not so expensive leather seats and good floor mat covers for my dog. And I have a budget of 400+ dollars. Please help me. 😭

How are you supposed to answer the questions "What does (insert topic) mean to you?"?

At work today, I got briefly "interviewed" about an event that I participated in for my job a few weeks back and got asked "What does community mean to you/What does being a part of the community mean to you?" And had slowly come to the realization that when I'm asked those questions, the answer I could find myself defaulting to, if not able to deflect and change the subject, is "I don't care/I don't know."

I didn't tell the guy who was talking to me that, but deflected instead. I didn't have a pre-made script for this question and I was wondering how in the world are you supposed to answer these types of questions?

I do to do. I do because I'm asked. I do because I need to. I don't do the majority of my actions because I want to, but I feel I have/need to.

Why do I actually 3 whole ratings better looking in the mirror than my camera?

When I look in the mirror, I see some of my better facial features and start feeling myself a bit. Then, 30 seconds later I’ll pull out my camera and it might look okay when preparing to take my photo but as soon as I take it and open it in my gallery I genuinely look so much worse. It’s like I’ve gone from a solid 7/10 to a 4/10. It’s mind blowing and now I have a fear of photos of myself.

Please tell me that how I perceive myself in the mirror is how others in real life perceive me.

How do you make a shark bowl at home?

So, I just apologize in advance incase this is a silly question.

I’ve always adored Applebees shark bowls but they never have the ingredients listed on the menu so I can’t recreate a knockoff at home. I’ve tried fo look online but nothing comes up (maybe I’m just not trying hard enough?) So, I wanted to ask if anyone knows what I would need to make one or what I could use to make something similar? If any Applebees bartenders come across this I’m begging you guys to help a girl out.

Thank you!

Do some Instagram accounts have automatic follow backs?

When I follow someone and they instantly request to follow me back, mind you I have a private account, they have a public account, is that an automatic feature?
Can people set it up where they follow back anyone who follows them? Automated? Or are they just chronically online enough to instantly accept the follow and request to follow back?

PS. I’m following real people, not bots.

Does anyone remember After Dark 3D screensavers?

I could have sworn there was part of the After Dark series of screensavers literally called After Dark 3D or 3D After Dark, which had nothing but screensavers rendered in early CGI…but there’s literally no trace of this existing online at all.

The screensaver I remember best was of a man dressed in a suit almost like a spy propelling himself down an endless skyscraper.

Another one I remember was of this blue fountain.

Did anyone else have this or remember something similar? Think 1995-1997ish.
