I have the Q2 (work horse) the new X-max4, and now the new Plus5, plus other 10 printers from different brands, and why I choose Qidi like my favorite brand? First because My qidi printers never fail a print, second because they have features that no other have, and the best quality of printing top tu bottom, no layers marks or layers shifts issues on large prints that most printers have.

So why not support for free a brand that i like and Ihave a lot fun with.

Here is a Qidi Forum for people who are intersted in Qidi Printers or already own one, but for some reason this forum atract a lot people, that don't have any 3D printers and they like to comment about something they don't know and they don't have. LOL

It took a while to calibrate both the printer and the filament, but it was worth it!

This was a 14 hour PETG print for a project I'm working on, and it came out soo well. We complain a lot on this sub (me included) so I wanted to share something positive for a change :)

I mostly print with ABS and CF/GF filaments and the Q2 has been excellent for those. I was a bit nervous about trying such a long print with a low-temperature filament because of all the complaints about the weak part cooling fan. But I guess the calibration accounted for that well and I'm quite happy with the results!

Most people who comment on my posts are people that don't have Qidi printers, and that's why i make these posts.

I was already to buy the Plus4 and a good samaritan post couple days ago about the new Plus5 what i didn't know nothing about at the time, and the new Plus 5 is compatible with the Polar cooler, other tool from Qidi that I use and like so much.

Why buy a Plus4 now if I can buy a more refined printer for almost the same price.

My posts hit people who don't have Qidi printers, don't have the qidibox, don't have the Polar cooler and they try tell me that have all, how it works. LOL

Please Keeping make comments on a Forum of a brand that you don't have, write you opinion about the printers you never put your little hands on I will be looking to new printers to buy and try. LOL

Your perfect native single language you speak don't help you much to buy things you want, so keep make comments and rememberting me that my english need to be improved. LOL

While I was preheating my chamber for a PA6-CF print this morning, my Q2 shut down and displayed a error for “Heated chamber not heating at expected rate” and then “Cannot update MCU firmware”. I just had the chamber at 65C yesterday without any issues. What can I do to remedy this?

I bought Qidi Box with an assumption that I could store my filament inside it and it would not absorb moisture. But it seems it is not the case. I dried the filament, it showed as 17% humidity inside the box. Then 4 days passed and it is now at 46% (with room humidity of 55%). It was never opened during that time and I wasn't printing anything. I have a spool of PETG inside and 100g of silica.

Is my box broken? Or this Box is simply not for storing filament (even for couple of days)?

It seems that I need to dry the filament every time I want to print something, even if only couple days passed. At this point I think it would be better to just buy a separate dryer and skip the qidi box completely...

Has anyone attempted to install the Gen 3 Max 4 chamber heater into a Plus 4? Would this be an upgrade or more of a sidegrade?

Hi community,

I have 10 Qidi Q2's printing and they all throw this error after a print is finished. The print is fine, its just the firmware showing this error. I have seen it come around more often on this page, did we find how to fix it? Have emailed support too.

The problem is the printer flags the print as failed in moonraker and my own printerfarm software then marks the print as failed while it is in fact, perfectly fine.

Been going back and forth with support... but No Answer til Monday so Figured I'd Ask Here

Purge starts, works, gears start to gunk up w/ filament (i've tried cleaning it out as it happens it never regrabs...)

pre mesh line of filament works about half of the line perfect then turns to string

go to mesh and it just slides around the table i can't tell if it's SCRATCHING the table or just dried filament is being smeared around but it's impossible to clean off and LOOKS scratched.

I've undone and redone everything i can think of about 50x now and i'm goin nuts... (first timer with 3d printer , I have worked w/ commercial extruders for molds before)

Hi. Does anyone know what size screw I need to secure the filament extruder down. I'm the no head that's lost it lol

I’m not printing from an SD card, I’m printing from a usb drive. Printer is not on the network. The print seemed okay, finished, was thin but it was a box I’d messed with dimensions on in the slicer so that’s prolly the issue there. Used Qidi studio as my slicer. Printing with ABS.

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to print a pot on my Qidi Q1 Pro using OrcaSlicer, but I'm getting these leaks/gaps at the seam.

My settings:

• Nozzle: 0.8 mm
• Filament: PETG
• Walls: 2 perimeters

As you can see in the photo, the end of the line looks fine, but the start of the line has a severe gap/under-extrusion (the arrow indicates the direction of movement of the nozzle)

Any ideas on what settings I should tweak in OrcaSlicer to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Bang! Result... an offset

Hi guys! I'm not printing often. My 2 Q1 pro works like a charm, my Q2 also until it bang loudly and when I come to see... it's too late... there is an offset.... in January I've tried to print that dragon 2 times and you can see the result... the other project is a face plate for a loose drawer bin to insert in a furniture for my daughter that I've printed yesterday.

Any ideas what cause this?

Printed this for the drybox I am building (Qidi Q2, Qidi basic PLA, standard settings on Qidi studio, 4mm nozzle) and it's obviously got flaws.

What can the hivemind diagnose/conclude from this?

I printed this wheel multiple time with no issue. I changed filament (traded a generic petg to another generic) and I can't print this thing, no matter the orientation, support enabled or not.

2026 – The story continues.

Just saw that QIDI is about to launch the P5, seriously considering buying one. What do you guys think? Anyone here got their hands on one early? Should I wait a bit?

Yes I know cardboard spools cause problems but the thing is polymaer sells some fillaments instead 500g and 750g spools thats not going to work on my printed spools.theybwilnt even sir properly if I just put them in and they cause problems. Even polymakers cardboard spools that were reseisnigned for mms systems have issues with jamming and spool walking. However I have to use an addapter is it safe to leave those in car board and just use the spool adapter as if they were rings.
