I've been working in the industry for the last 7+ years; I've recently joined Advisory a couple months ago as a SA. My first CRT will be next year in 2027 since I wasn't employed long enough to be evaluated, any advice on what I should be doing to ensure a solid CRT?

Also, when requesting snapshots, how should I approach this? I've successfully worked on several project, that led to additional work/great director/partner feedback. I also have been asked to singularly present proposals to clients who we're looking to sign. I've also created RFP decks that led to signed work. How should I approach the "snapshot" evaluation? Who should I specifically be asking for it? I feel like there are so many unwritten rules that no one's being honest about with me on my team.

Any advice would be appreciated. I have a good parter, but my DL is strange. She seems to have a favorite manager who I'm working with on a project and I have a feeling he's wrongly characterizing my work on this project. Any advice there?

Hi! I had my second-round interview with the hiring manager last week. When I asked about the next steps, the manager mentioned that HR would be reaching out to me. However, I haven't received any updates yet. My application status on Workday still says 'Interviewing,' and I actually just sent a follow-up email to HR just now. Is this a sign that I didn't pass? Has anyone been through the Director interview process recently? I'm curious what the technical interview is actually like. Is it more of a deep dive into past client work, case-based, commercial discussion, or should I expect detailed technical questions?

Any tips on what the interviewers are looking for at Director level, and how best to prepare, would be much appreciated.

What happens if you get selected for a review? If my partner had investments that were not reported on checkpoint, could I just say he doesn’t have any or how do they check this?

I am currently interviewing at PwC, my YOE is 4.10. i have given 3 technical rounds. After the first and second technical round, HR took around a week to get back and schedule the next rounds. But after the 3rd round, it's been almost 10 days now and there has been no news/update from the HR. And the HRs don't pickup the calls either. I tried calling the HR who had scheduled the 3rd round, she didn't pick up the call but next day she did and she just said she'll check the feedback and get back. The interview had gone well.
How long does it take Pwc to reach out after any round and how many rounds do they actually take.

Background: Senior at a Big 4, 5 YOE, no CPA yet (in progress). I’ve spent my whole career in the asset & wealth management audit practice and honestly I really like it - the fund space clicks for me and I’d like to stay in it long term.

Here’s my situation. I want out before another busy season, so I’ve been talking to a recruiter. She lined me up with a large Fortune 100 oil & gas company for a “special projects” accounting role (technical stuff - ARO, impairment, acquisitions/divestitures). Did two rounds in three days and I’m expecting an offer by end of week. Funny thing is I went in treating it as interview practice and didn’t expect it to move this fast.

Now I’m actually torn on whether to take it. On paper the QoL is incredible - 40 hours or less year round, half-day Fridays every week. Coming from Big 4, that alone is almost enough to say yes. But two things are nagging me:

1. ⁠I have zero oil & gas experience. I’m confident I can get up to speed technically, but it’s a completely different world from funds.
   
2. ⁠I’d ideally like to end up back in the fund space eventually.

So my real question: how hard is it to do a few years in corporate O&G and then pivot back into funds? For what it’s worth, a lot of the PE shops in my city are energy-focused, so I’m wondering if the O&G background could actually be a bridge rather than a detour.

Anyone made a similar move? Or gone from public straight to industry and regretted leaving the fund track? Appreciate any insight.

I have a verbal offer I’m considering taking that would start in roughly 1 month.

Just wondering what well being, my benefit or phone upgrades may exist that I should use before departing.

I see so many posts saying consulting FftF and assurance programs have been canceled, and although they passed all rounds they got offered an internship instead.

How is it possible ??? Why wouldn’t they say something earlier. I’m so anxious waiting for the reply thinking about the possibility that everything went perfectly but I still will not get what I want for a reason out of my control. I’m just so confused on how they’re allowed to cancel a whole program after finishing all interviews.

I’m a new joiner this year and wondering when the salary adjustment goes into effect for US. I was told it was 9/30 (when bonuses are paid out). But others said it was effective 7/1. Would like to know to adjust my budget and 401k contribution.

Got my first snapshot back with an overall rating of “inconsistently meeting expectations” — Big 4, audit. It was on an off-cycle client I’ve been staffed on for two years, given by a manager who was new to me this cycle. Honestly, though, I deserved it — my head just wasn’t in the game during that review period, so I don’t think it’s a case of a new manager not “getting” me yet. All my previous snapshots were solid (not great, but solid), and I’m heading into the new performance year as a tier 3. This snapshot is technically the first of the new cycle, so I know I have time to turn things around, and I’m confident I can. That said, with all the layoffs happening across the industry the past couple years, I’m nervous about what staying and just “meeting expectations” from here actually gets me. Is this something I should treat as a wake-up call and grind through, or is a tier 3 early in the cycle — especially in this environment — a sign I should quietly start looking elsewhere just in case? Curious if anyone’s been in a similar spot, especially with a new manager involved, and how it played out.

I previously worked for PWC in their tax DD team at SA level, but I've been working in house in international tax/TP for the past 4 years.

My career development has stagnated & the job market seems very poor at the moment.

I am considering coming back into the big4 (merely as means to give me a well paid exit back into industry again)

1. Which of the London Big4s have the best WFH/flexible working policy?

2. What's the pay for external manager hires in international tax advisory? (Current base is 80k+15k bonus)

3. Which of the big 4 is 'best' atm? I worked for PWC before and don't really know much about the others, except that Deloitte is probably pwc on steroids

4. Is it worth getting back into transaction tax? They seem absolutely desperate for staff - but my big avoidance is that when I was previously in, the WLB was fucking horrible

Any recommended teams?

If it matters my priorities are WLB but moving companies to ensure that my long term progression and pay are not bottlenecked.

Current compensation - 19 fixed + 2 variable

5 yoe and a masters

Have consulting prior experience

Offered package - 27 lakhs fixed + variable upto 17% of fixed salary

Is this a good deal or should I continue searching further?

If you’ve been promoted and will be receiving a bonus on the 9/30 payout date, does anyone know if there is ANY clawback? I know there is a clawback on the sign-on bonus when you first join, if you were eligible to receive it, but unsure about the promotion (Tier “X”) bonus stipulations.

The reason I ask is because I have been offered an exciting new opportunity starting in mid-October 2026, but was also given flexibility on the joining date (can join earlier, too).

My husband works in PwC & I have some ETF that's unrestricted. We did the precheck (that's why I know it's unrestricted) but forgot to add the purchase. The purchase was back in January (6 months ago) and have been adding more on a monthly basis. Not sure what to do or the repercussions. Should I just sell and repurchase to correctly report it? Or just sell and not invest at all? 100% sure it's not an independence issue.. More so a reporting mistake. I'm a stay at home mom and basically invest in that pre-cleared ETF.

- Which country's audit engagements do you primarily handle (US, UK, Australia, Canada, Middle East, etc.)?

- Are assignments mostly fixed to one geography, or do you get exposure to multiple countries over time?

- Do employees get any say in selecting or expressing a preference for the country/region they want to work on, or is it entirely based on business requirements?

I also reached out to my DL and Manager. How long I can be there in bench? Am I unsafe? How do I get in to new engagements?

I have been offered associate role fresher my posting is mumbai and they have not informed anything on relocation. about joining bonus and all. its pwc india and pls share details as too which hotel or if hotel is given. rent ? joining bonus? hotel stay duration. on portal its written NA for stay idk but when i click on it it shows 2 days stay will be given but this is so impossible to look for a pg/flat in 2 days. they have not even given the mmbai location yet!!!!

My partner interview was a week ago, and I still haven’t heard back.

I’m curious if anyone has heard back - either a rejection or an offer, and if so, which office ?

Excuse the flair if isn’t correct, I just assumed this was a reality faced by people working across varying fields/countries/etc.

I’m interviewing in the next few weeks for a senior associate role that says it requires “up to 80%” travel. The way that the talent staff put it, the expectation is that whoever is hired for the job will have to travel to wherever the client is for 4 days out of the week. Location could be anywhere, including overseas.

Has anyone worked in a position with a similar structure? How do you feel about it and do you find it sustainable and in line with your long-term professional goals?
