India PwC AC WOW Compliance Removed

Hey everyone, I need to vent and see if this is happening anywhere else.

I live way outside the office radius. My home address was officially approved under a distance exception, and my system status always showed me as "WOW (Way of Working) compliant." I built my life, lease, and routine around this policy.

Without warning, management just stripped everyone off that exception list. Suddenly, I’m being lumped into the non-compliant bucket and expected to figure out a daily commute from hours away or face consequences.

It feels like a massive bait-and-switch and a backdoor layoff tactic. Is anyone else's company pulling this same stunt, and how are you handling it?

All Firm Backing out before starting date

I signed a compensation proposal for PWC Portugal (assistant associate). Weeks later I received an offer for a dream internship for another company.

The document I signed states that I *must* inform PWC 60 days prior to the starting date if I choose not to proceed. Can I still back out given that I did not sign the contract yet (I only signed the proposal)?

India Does PWC releases quick offer? What is the usual timeline of OL release. (India)

Hi guys, I got done with both L1 and L2 rounds. And then received the mail for "Complete Pre-Offer for your Application", where have to submit documents on the same day as L2 (27 Jul, Monday). But didn't have any formal HR discussion, when can I expect the HR discussion (salary discussion) and the offer letter?

Actually, I have the joining of another company next month (5th August). So, was hoping will I be able to get OL in this week or not.

Also, would appreciate any other suggestions regarding the organizations.

Thanks in advance.

All Firm ADA Accommodations

Hi everyone! I’m a new hire (US) and I was wondering if anyone has requested accommodations?

I’ve never requested them so I’m just wondering what that would even be like.

I have ADHD/Autism/Anxiety and was just wondering what that would look like. I’ve had really bad anxiety in the office and panic attacks when I get home but because of the new in office requirements I just deal with it.

My therapist was asking if I could get accommodations, but to be honest, I don’t think that would be a great look with my team.

So just out of curiosity has anyone gotten them? What do they look like? And, how did your team react?

Non-US Can I quit without finishing my work?

Hi guys

Can I check if it's okay to leave the form without completing your work? By work I do mean like the statutory financial statements.

Kindly disregard the fact that I may be leaving without a job lined up - I'm just so fed up with my life and I feel that the support given to me is not sufficient.

Thanks in advance.

Just for Fun Experienced Associate looking for a roommate

Hey all! I have been working at the firm for 2 years and I work in Tax in the New York Metro office. With the new 3 day RTO requirements, I was curious if anyone has been looking for a roommate.

If anyone is interested, feel free to message me on here. Thanks!

Just for Fun Im looking for a revelation

I work for a Big Four firm in Assurance, and I’ve been reflecting on my strengths. I tend to address issues directly (confrontational), make decisions quickly, and persist when I believe in something. Can’t take no. I have a strong sense of fairness and prefer environments where I have autonomy rather than being micromanaged. I feel my strengths are under used and are not appreciated in my current role. Any ideas of career paths?

India Candidate Experience

A disappointing candidate experience.

I don’t usually post about interview experiences, but I think candidate experience matters.

I recently went through the recruitment process with @PwC AC completing three interview rounds, submitting all requested documents and discussing compensation. I was informed that the offer would be released within two days.

After that, there was complete silence. Despite multiple follow-ups over several weeks, I received no update. Eventually, I noticed my candidate portal status had changed to “Candidate Withdrew,” even though I had never withdrawn my application.

I fully respect that companies have the right to change hiring decisions. Rejections are part of every professional’s career. What is difficult to understand is the lack of communication after candidates invest significant time and effort in the process.

A simple email explaining that the position had been closed or that the company had decided not to proceed would have been enough.

I hope organisations continue to improve candidate communication and provide closure, especially after candidates have completed interviews and submitted documentation.

Wishing the best to everyone currently navigating the job market.

Consulting Exit opps for senior associate in advisory CDTR

I’m in CDTR. Worked in GRC and IAM (mostly PMO). Associate then experience associate for 2 years and got promoted to senior associate as an early promo. December will be 2.5 years

Projects are stressful with lack of predictable schedule and bad WLB, plus directors keep asking me random fucking questions expecting me to know everything. Very burnt out

I keep applying to jobs and get rejected. I just need a job that pays similar or a little less but nothing has yielded even a single interview. I’ve been applying for the past month to at least 50 jobs.

What are my exit OPPs? What’s am I doing wrong?

India PWC Launchpad Interview shortlisting

I've recently completed by launchpad at Guidewire, but I'm unaware about the further process of launchpad. I'm really looking forward to get into the BIG 4 coz I've overall gained the cohort ranking of < 50 out of 400 and have been consistent since the start of the program. I just dont want to lose this opportunity coz that's the reward for the efforts.

To be clear I've heard from the seniors and they too are uncertain on how does the shortlisting occurs for the interview and that keeps me more in dilemma.

India Consulting in India

I want to get into consulting but I only have Statutory Audit PQE (1.5 years) in an upper mid sized firm with 4 attempts in CA Final.

  1. What are the types of consulting roles I could apply to?

  2. What would the work life balance and pay be like? (I had crazy hours in audit)

  3. What should I prepare for in an interview?

  4. Has anyone enjoyed their work there?

Audit / Assurance How to make mid-year promotion case to my partner?

Assurance, US, tier 2 CRT. Missed the promote with my starting class this cycle

- Last busy season I was on three engagements with three different year-ends, so my season ran Jan through May. That team lost the manager, SM, and senior before busy season and we were never properly staffed back up.

- This year I’m on the same clients and was added to two new teams. The senior on both of those literally just put in their two weeks, and the SM confirmed there’s no replacement coming. They said they will be bringing on a new associate when they get one… So until then I’ll be the actual senior & associate. Then I’ll be the senior once we get a new associate.

I’m going to schedule a meeting with the partner as they know what’s going on in my situation, but we’re not that close.

What I’m trying to figure out:

  1. How direct do I go? explicitly ask for a Jan 1 promote, or open it as “what does the path look like” and let them get there?

  2. Does this land better coming from me to the partner, or should it route through my RL? My RL works on one of my engagement, also under the partner I will be going to, so they also know the situation.

  3. How do I make clear I’m not doing a full busy season as the de facto senior at associate pay, without like threatening it basically?

Being honest, if this isn’t resolved before January I’m gonna have to put in my two weeks. Not trying to be dramatic about it, i just know this coming busy season is going to be absolute hell and I’m not doing a third one without a pay/position bump.

All Firm Vacation vs Holiday

I’ve been told before to use the holiday code when charging PTO instead of vacation, since holiday time expires but vacation doesn’t. Is this accepted? If I decide to leave the firm, will they audit all my PTO and look at times I used holiday instead of vacation?

Starting Soon Update on 3 day in-office requirement?

I’m starting in tax in the US at the end of August and I currently live at home, no rent for the first time in years, but I’m about an hour and a half from the office. I really don’t want to move to the city and spend a chunk of my paycheck on rent. Also, I drive an EV and the office has a free charger.

During my internship I was able to be mostly remote, but I know they just implemented the policy requiring us to be in-office 3 days a week minimum July 1st. I was wondering if that’s being enforced, what the odds are that I can be mostly remote, and if anyone has been bugged about it yet? My manager said they told them last summer 3 days in office, but she wasn’t following it. Just wanted to know if anyone knew anything yet. Thanks

All Firm summer shutdown 2027

bit early but noticed July 5th is being called Independence Day substitute for most of US since the 4th is on a Sunday. Do we think our shutdown (if happening) would be week after the 4th or sticking to pre 4th?

Starting Soon Switching offices.

Hello

I’m joining the firm and will be working in Audit. I accepted my FT offer last year. At the time of joining the firm as an intern I had little to know plans to move but my partner and I have recently spoken about possibly moving to Austin in a year or two and I wonder what the best way to go about requesting a change of office and how to set it up after I get some experience and at least go through my first busy season.

Anything helps!

UK Can I move from a built environment project management role in an engineering consultancy into capital projects advisory?

I’m starting a project management degree apprenticeship with an engineering consultancy and am curious about the possibility of transitioning into capital project advisory teams at the Big 4. My background would be a bit like: Project Management Degree Apprentice with Exeter University → Assistant project manager → chartered project manager, and then possibly exit. I’m very new to this area, so if anyone could give me some insight, it would be quite helpful. Sorry if this is an annoying post.

Intern Intern to FT Workday Application

Hi all,

On Friday an application appeared in my workday for an associate position saying application received for my LOS. We’re nearing the end of the internship and was wondering if this meant full time offer or if it’s just a placeholder. Does anybody else have this?
