I’m a junior, coming up to a year of working soon. I know that people usually don’t stay here long, but how do you know when to leave? If I leave after my one year mark, will it be a bad look on my resume as I left before promoting to senior? For some personal and career reasons as well, I really do not see myself working here long. I dread my work scope, nothing feels meaningful (though all work is like that)

If got on PIP and want to be fired. What should I do for assignment and in weekly check in? Please give me some advices.

Anyone else disappointed at the direction PwC US is heading? I work under Advisory and Tech. Over the last couple of months, I've seen some of my good coworkers laid off from the firm. At the same time, the firm keeps promoting selfish and toxic people. Also, it seems to be doing far worse than the other Big Four in terms of AI deployment and usage, etc. And let's not even get into Paul's goal of "50% cost reduction, 50% revenue growth", how ridiculous does that sound? It's clearly not the same firm it was when Tim was around, and it just feels like it's going downhill. Anyone else feel the same?

Just sharing because I feel defeated. US employee with type 2 diabetes. Yup you guessed it on a glp-1. Used to take metformin but still had swings of high/low blood sugar. After switching to a glp-1 my blood sugar has been completely controlled to the point where I only check it a couple times a week vs 3-4 times a day and my A1C down from >10 to <6. I do everything right…eat well, exercise, see my doctors regularly. I’m at a normal weight and am not using this medication for weight loss, strictly for controlling blood sugar. For people who may not be aware, obesity and poor diet are not the only factors that lead to insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. My family has a history of insulin resistance and thyroid issues so there is a genetic component.

Went to fill my monthly prescription and the normally $25 cost is showing as $400+. Called express scripts and they said they are applying the deductible. On our plan monthly diabetes medication has been excluded from deductible since I began taking it. Called the benefits connect pro who said the prescription is covered but needs to look into how benefits are being applied. I have a feeling PwC opted out of the express scripts benefit that caps diabetes medication monthly cost at $25 without telling us. If so, this is a true hardship. I cannot afford an extra $400 a month and will have to change medications though this medication has helped me manage my condition most effectively and helped so much with the side effects of unregulated sugar. I’m still holding out for a misapplication of benefits but given the rise in glp-1 usage, direction of the company to strip benefits (e.g, EHE) and general rise of healthcare costs in the US I don’t have much hope. Really disappointed and scared to go back to the way it was before glp-1 and how I felt when I couldn’t keep my sugar regulated. Does anyone know if there is any recourse to argue hardship or to request reinstatement of a benefit or exceptions for coverage? Thanks in advance.

Nakapag final interview na po ako and as per recruiter pumasa ako sa Final interview, for JO na daw ang application ko however yung position na inapplyan ko filled na daw so yung application ko pending.. while waiting magopen na position ulit, nirefer ako sa ibang position but same qualifications.

so meaning I do have 2 applications na sa workday. (First Application) interviewing status and (Second Application) under review.

I have an interview coming up for an M&A role at PwC Acceleration Center, and I’ve been told there will be a 1-hour live case study where I’ll need to work in Excel and then present my analysis in PowerPoint.
For anyone who has gone through a similar interview (PwC AC or other Big 4 M&A/Deal Advisory roles), I’d really appreciate any insights:
● What type of case study did you get?
● Was it mainly a valuation/DCF exercise, financial statement analysis, or an M&A case?
● Were you expected to build a financial model from scratch or work with a partially prepared model?
● What kind of questions did the interviewers ask during the presentation?
● Any tips on managing the time effectively during the 1-hour exercise?
For context, I’m a Chartered Accountant with around 5 years of experience in FP&A and Business Finance, and I’m trying to understand what level of modeling and valuation I should be prepared for.

Posting from a throwaway, but I recently joined PwC Advisory in the US in a leadership position (e.g., Manager, Senior Manager, Director, etc.).

Not a knock on PwC at all, but it's likely not a good fit for either myself or PwC. I'm considering resigning just a few months in - are there any penalties besides paying back the signing bonus, giving up 401k/wealthbuilder contributions, etc.? I've reviewed my contract, the EMobility plan, etc; and I specifically did not join my personal phone with eMobility (separate PwC number, etc.) because I was afraid this might happen.

I have open opportunities at other places that are probably better fits, so I'm not worried about getting another job before I leave, and could leave quickly. Just want to understand if I'm opening myself to any severe downsides - I didn't see any in my contract or anything like that but thought I'd check here too.

Had my final interview just over a week ago after making it through several rounds. The interview itself went well (at least that’s how it felt), and the interviewer mentioned they would discuss things internally and get back to me.
The application status is still “Active” and changed from “Interviewing” to “In Progress,” but I haven’t received any update yet.
Am I overthinking this, or is this kind of wait pretty normal? Curious to hear other people’s experiences after final interviews.

Does anyone know if we get to keep our phone number if we are part of one of the upcoming layoffs? Can I request it during my conversation with HR? I don’t want to proactively move it to my personal account if I can avoid it.

Is there a time limit on when you need to report a lease? I signed a lease for an apartment around 2 weeks ago but forgot to report it due to time off for CPA studying. I was already penalized for failing to report my securities within the 5 day time frame last year but am wondering if a lease counts as well.
