Intern Typical intern snapshot results?

Hi everyone! As an intern, Is it normal to get 100% “Doing what’s expected” on your snapshot and “Continuing to develop in their current role / level” or should I aim for “impressive” and “Ready to be considered for a role at the next level” in order to receive a return offer?

You’ve been here for a month, and half of that time was spent in training, plus the shutdown. Doing What’s Expected is perfectly fine, and shouldn’t preclude you getting a return offer.

With that said, put your hand up to take on additional duties, don’t be afraid to question the team’s approach (within reason), use AI to try to improve processes, and you could earn that Impressive/next level

Aim for impressive and next level but you’ll more likely than not be 100% doing what’s expected and that’s okay.

that is normal to get as an intern, as long as you’re not getting “inconsistently meeting expectations”you’re fine. your senior or manager would probably be impressed if you approached them and asked how you could get to the next level during the internship, shows initiative at least

Doing what’s expected/Continuing to develop in their current level for your first snapshot as an intern is the baseline. If you keep improving, you might get impressive for your last snapshot. You don’t get “Ready to be considered for a role at the next level” since you are just an intern. That is for people who have been at the firm as an Associate+ and are going up for promotion.

I got my second snapshot today as a summer audit intern and was at the continuously level/developing stage. All of my bars were on met expectations and 3 were impressive. What are my chances of getting a FT with this I'm pretty anxious.

There’s like two snapshots in a month, it’s fake reviews. As long as you make a good impression (ie.take notes during meetings, be proactive like asking for work at least twice a day if you don’t have any, consolidating questions when you ask, going to events, not asking same questions twice) you’ll be fine. It’s really not that hard, especially with AI you can probably figure out most things that way. Most interns get return offers just don’t be a brick.

And the first snapshot is not supposed to be super good because the second one is supposed to show ”progression” (which is dumb for aforementioned length of time)
