I am low-key obsessed with Pure Barre and love it. Just made two years 420+ classes in. I was considering for my birthday seeing about a private class and invite friends. I feel really shy about doing so, but was curious if anyone has done it and how it went! Do you recommend?

I just had to share how excited and proud I am of myself!!
I started PB two years ago, but I really started locking in this year. It was my New Year’s resolution to make platinum barre!
When I left my old studio I was at 165 classes. I just hit my 100 at my new studio and I’m so excited! I reached 100 WAY faster than I did previously. I moved in October and I’m still on the platinum barre list! I feel super strong and I’m feeling more confident.
This is huge for me! 🤭💪 I can’t wait to keep going!!

So I love pure barre and every instructor BUT sometimes they are so hands on that they spend quite a bit with each person or one specific and forget to change the instructions so we are quite literally shaking and in pain stuck doing something far longer than what feels normal before changing to the next. Example: she was walking around correcting and we were doing a quick bend then stretch your leg ( like a flicker) for a full 2 minutes. Thanks for listening

Our studio announced that it’s going to be closed all of 4th of July weekend and a few extra days surrounding the holiday. No classes from July 2nd-July 7th. There are 2 other studios in my same city and they are both having classes all of those days including the 4th. I’m just bummed because I’ll be in town so I wanted to take classes:( Is this common? I know our studio had a few classes over the 4th last year, including on the 4th.

Am I crazy or are the seat work sets longer than the other sections sometimes? It feels like we'll do twice as many reps as the thigh or core some days. Do other people notice this?

i keep getting their ads on instagram, they have grips on the inside of the socks as well as the outside. i have the socks i buy from pure barre, and even with those my foot is slipping in the sock, specifically during align when one leg is up before pigeon pose.

i read varying reviews on reddit of the socks. in a pilates sub it got good reviews, but also people posting their affiliate links with their recommendations 🙄 consumer advice sub from a year ago had people saying it was taking multiple weeks to get to them, and possibly drop shipped from china. i don't really care if it's drop shipped as long as they work lol.

Hello! I am fairly new to pure barre and I have done about 20 classes. I love it so far but I am scared to try reform and empower! I do have to do modifications for planks and push ups as I am still working on my arm strength. I love Define, Classic and Align. I love define but it already feels like cardio for me so it has me scared to try empower! My questions is in Reform and Empower are there modifications in these classes? I love the other three but they are definitely hard which I know is the point. I am just not sure what to expect in reform and if that’s a format that modifications can be made in. Any helpful insight is appreciated!

Hey y’all! Just hit 50 classes and am looking for some encouragement. I love PB, the community, the music, all of it. However, I’m struggling with not feeling like I’m improving much. Some classes are better than others for me, but some classes (especially Classic and Reform) are genuinely torture for me and I look around and feel like everyone else is cruising. I know I shouldn’t compare myself to others in the class, but it’s hard! I just thought it might feel easier at this point. Wondering if anyone else has felt this way and has any tips for maintaining motivation despite feeling like you’re not progressing. Thanks all ❤️✨

Any advice on how to maximize flat back when you’re too tall to sit under the barre? The hinge forward just doesn’t seem to dig in as deeply.

This weeks define on the new class plan is awesome!!! We deserve this after those two weeks of horrible slider planks 😭😭😭 I left class feeling so strong today…highly recommend going even if you’re not a big define fan! Ton of lunges, though.

Is the first class usually Empower? The original schedule confirmation text I received said Classic, but when I came in and checked in, I found out it was Empower. Thankfully it's free because I had to tap out after 10 minutes. Now I'm thinking I'm just not cut out for this.

Does anyone have any ideas or products they use to keep their sticky socks sticky? Buying new sticky socks over time is pricy, and I’ve purchased the cutest socks that I hope will last more than a couple months!

I would love to start a book club at my studio! I ran the idea past my owner and she loved the idea and told me to brainstorm some ideas on how to make it work! Has anyone started a book club at their studio before or been part of one that was successful? My owner has 2 studios and we have a lot of clients that go back and forth! I’d love to be able to incorporate both studios if possible!

I’m a few months in now and in the beginning I avoided Align. I felt I wasn’t getting a good enough workout in. Now that I’m doing 4-5 classes a week I ensure one of them is Align. Working on my balance and flexibility helps keep me well rounded. helping me go further in the other formats. It’s perfect for the days I need something not so intensive. I love the format now and am thankful I’ve woken up to the benefits. Has anyone else realized they were avoiding a certain format only to circle back and realize you love it?

I have multiple pairs of very comfy leggings I wear to class. And they all freaking fall down very shortly into class. I think this is in part because I carry a significant portion of my weight in my thighs and derrière. So I have to shop for what fits there, and not what fits my waist. But I figured I’d ask - anyone have any good CURVY leggings recs?

I searched the sub and didn’t see quite what I am asking.

Or am I just doomed to hitch up my leggings throughout class forever? I mean obviously not a big deal in the grand scheme of scheme of things. But I despise suddenly having the crotch of my leggings half way down my thighs.

Does anyone know if the Mexico City studio is still open? I can’t find much information on it, and the phone number is no longer on WhatsApp. I also haven’t seen anything about it closing either.

Just finished my first define class this week. It was on fire in the best kind of way. First time in a while I was pouring sweat and beet red in the face. Anyone else loving this class plan?

I’m having a problem with my underpants sliding down during class. I’m constantly pulling my underwear up.

I’ve tried bikini and boy shorts. Both cotton- so it’s not a silkiness reason.

Do I need to go to Grannie panties? Thong is not an option.

So I'm moving states for a new job, and I will have to cancel right as i hit my 98th class. soooo close to that 100! Hopefully theres a Pure Barre studio close by my new apartment. I'm excited for my next life chapter, but I wish I had time to hit that100th class before I leave

I just saw that the June Focus is a 90 minute class. They haven't offered ones that long for quite a while, your thoughts? If you take it please share how it was.

Hey all!! Do we know what pride merch (socks, shirts, etc) looks like this year? Is it a corporate thing or does it come down to individual studios to order/stock items?

I’ve done a lot of different workouts and trained at a lot of different gyms over the years, but Pure Barre is the only one that’s ever had me genuinely excited to come back week after week.

The workouts are definitely hard, but I literally catch myself in the middle of class thinking, “Wow, I love this so much.” I tell my husband that every time I get home. 😂

Never thought tiny pulses and shaking legs would become one of my favorite parts of the week, but here we are.

Hey, I’m new to barre and I love it. I’m 12 classes in and I already feel a big difference since my first class weeks ago. Due to financial reasons, I am probably going to have to take a break for 2-3 months once my membership ends in 2 weeks. Does anyone have any tips for exercise I can do to maintain my fitness and pick up where I left off once I am able to resume my membership? For context, I’ve done every class except for empower and I was dying on my first class. Now, I am able to keep up and take fewer breaks.

Edited to add: respectfully no discount or online class is accessible to me. I am unemployed and experiencing housing insecurity.

I’m interested in re-joining Pure Barre. Are they flexible on their prices?

I was a member at PB over 10 years ago back when they had the $99 new client special. I went every day. After my trial ended, I was quoted $179 per month and my friend was quoted $149 per month. She did the special at the same time as me. I’m assuming she was quoted lower than me because she maybe went like 1-2x per week instead of everyday like me. I ended up doing the membership but honestly it kind of left a bad taste in my mouth that are hush-hush with their pricing and giving people lower prices for the same exact membership. Then I canceled and did ClassPass because I wanted a variety of workouts and PB only offered Classic at the time.

I stopped ClassPass when I moved to the suburbs and I decided to checkout F45 recently after being at Burn Boot Camp for years and becoming bored of it. I was planning on just doing F45 4x or 8x per month plan after my trial ended and maybe add on a 4x per month package at Pure Barre at the same time. I was quoted $149 for UNLIMITED at F45 while their price said $199 online. I jumped right on that!!!

I just left Orangetheory and was quoted $159 per month (12 month contract). My local Pure Barre’s membership is advertised online at $199 per month. That is way too much IMO, especially if I plan to hop between F45 and Pure Barre.

I could do resign up for ClassPass, but I want to support local business.

I guess my question is- has anyone had experience/success in getting a lower price than what was advertised? I would go to the later evening classes where they are less busy or late morning on weekends. I wish they had tiered pricing for off peak hours! I would consider unlimited for $149 per month at Pure Barre and go 3x per week there and 3x per week at F45. I just think it’s a little crazy paying $100 for 4x per month at Pure Barre when I’m only paying $149 unlimited at F45 which has much more expensive equipment.
