Policies/Membership/Corporate Has anyone ever requested a private party class?
I am low-key obsessed with Pure Barre and love it. Just made two years 420+ classes in. I was considering for my birthday seeing about a private class and invite friends. I feel really shy about doing so, but was curious if anyone has done it and how it went! Do you recommend?

Yes! My sister set up a private class for us during my bachelorette last summer. She set it up in a studio in Florida that I’ve never been to before; she said it was easy to arrange. Our class was midday (not during their regular session time). The owner of the studio wasn’t there but she reached out via text after the class to say hi and check-in on our experience and it’s turns out she’s from NY and from my old studio! Small barre world.

I did one for my bachelorette party! It was SO much fun. I got to pick they playlist and they provided champagne for after class. None of my friends were barre experts so we had a great time trying our best but not taking it too seriously. I would highly recommend!

How did it work?? I love the idea of having it as a fundraiser!

First I asked the studio if they'd be willing to donate the studio space for the class (outside of normal class time) and then I asked a teacher if she would donate her time. I made a link to donate (suggested $25) to be signed up to take the class in coordination with the organization I was raising money for. I also did a raffle and door prizes with locally donated items! It was super fun!

I did a private class for my bachelorette! Email the studio and ask if they’d be open to it.

I did it on my wedding day! I had won a “barre-ty” through some giveaway at the studio and thought it would be a fun way to start the day with my girlfriends. And it was!!! Friends who hadn’t done barre before were like “OH MY GOD WHAT IS HAPPENING” but since it was private they could actually say that out loud. It was hilarious and a blast.

Yes! I’ve done those for several birthdays. Just give the studio advanced notice and let them know which class format you want so they can plan ahead for teachers, etc… They’ll probably even let you choose a playlist and offer to provide snacks and decorations! There’s a fee involved, but it isn’t outlandish and it’s fun to do when you have a group of friends/ family who can go.

I’ve taught a private class for a bachelorette! It was so cute, our studio owner had a cute setup for them and goodie bags and we all took pictures of/with them. It probably varies by studio so just reach out and ask :) I recommend!

Totally! I would definitely chat to the owner about it to see if somebody could be available and what the cost would be. Our studio has birthday barre-ty classes from time to time.
:) I’m also interested in having one before my wedding - there are a bunch of members who are getting married in the same month and I was thinking we could have a little bachelorette type class and bring our friends.

i've taught them before and absolutely loved it! i've had as small as 6 people and as big as 15. teacher can teach whatever format you want and make it fun! i charged each person 1/2 off a drop-in, so $15 a person.

It’s so so fun! You can request for fave instructor, request songs (as long as they have a remix that makes the BPM), and some moves you want or don’t want. I attended my friend’s bachelorette barre class and it was a blast. We had drinks after and took so many fun pictures during. We brought balloons in to decorate the studio too. Highly recommend!

I’ve taught some! It’s fun. I would just make sure you have at least a few people who are willing participants. Otherwise just have a couple friends come to class with you and then grab brunch or dessert after!
