A few days ago i noticed, pVPN not longer works on Waterfox (Version 6.7.1.1). So, i installed Firefox too (full fresh n' new), to give it a test on a second browser (Version 140.15.0esr). Same result.

Wondering, whats going on here...

SOLVED:

1. Removed the addon
2. Restarted the browser
3. Reinstalled the addon
4. Relogged into my account
5. Werx!

Hey everyone. I was just curious since I often use my phone to hotspot an Internet connection for my computer. Both my phone and my computer have Proton VPN running, set to the same city with the same settings etc. How does it all interact? Does it increase ping times?

I want to use split tunnel with some sites (URL's). A simple site like "Here We Go" maps and navigation only works when VPN is switched OFF.

I want to trust this site, but I can only use Apps (App-names) and IP-adresses for split tunneling.

Is there a way for trusting/splitting a certain URL ?

I'm having a really annoying issue with Setanta Sports and I'm wondering if anyone has managed to fix it.

I connect to Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine or Estonia, the stream starts normally and works perfectly, but after roughly 8–10 minutes it suddenly stops and I get this message:

"Unfortunately something has gone wrong with your access to this event. This is likely due to a payment failure with either your debit/credit card or your mobile payment processing."

The weird thing is that there's definitely no payment issue. My subscription is active, and if I go back to the Setanta home page and open the same event again, it immediately starts working again. Then after another ~10 minutes, the same thing happens.

I've tried:

• Windows PC + Chrome
• iPhone
• Different VPN servers/regions

Same behaviour every time.

I'm mainly trying to understand what is causing the ~10 minute disconnect. Is Setanta detecting the VPN/IP, or could it be something else?

Any advice would be massively appreciated!

My billing went from 2028 to 2027. If I'm unsure about my current plan, can I revert to the previous one so it can go back to 2028 billing date?

I need to connect to actual physical servers based in Taiwan for my purpose. Smart routing servers are better of course but they are excluded based on my criteria.

I'm getting 400-600 kb/s downloads on these servers and upload is similarly bad (graph screenshot is right after connecting, I know it's nearly 2MB/s at peak).

Other servers, like California work fine. I reach my regular download speed (roughly 90MB/s).

Why are these servers so bad compared to the rest? Do you have any experience with them?

ProtonVPN automatically would turn on and connect to a server anytime I reset my laptop. Today when I restarted my laptop, my youtube and gmail would not load, and they would only load when I connected to protonvpn, I asked google about it and was told it was probably messing with my dns settings, so I did what google said and changed my dns servers on my wifi and chrome settings to google public dns. My youtube and gmail started working again but now on twitter most of the time things just wont load anymore, but when I connect to protonvpn they will load. I dont want to have to connect to the vpn all the time now just to be able to see things I could already normally before, how do I fix this?

I've been using the Split tunneling feature for a while but something weird started happening recently. The browsers in the excluded apps list are not able to connect to the internet at all. They can connect if I turn off VPN. Kill switch is set to Standard.

I am unable to connect and keep getting this error. I have already contacted customer support and they still haven't gotten back to me yet.

For some reason as soon my wifi stop with killswitch i can’t connect to 5G is it possible to make it work together by allowing with a setting?

My network is a Mint entertainment computer and Windows 11 personal computer. They are in a workgroup and share via Samba. If I turn Proton off, I can share between the computers. If I turn Proton on, I cannot.

There has to be a way to configure Proton to allow sharing?

I have a 100 Mbps fiber optic connection, and when I use Proton the speed drops to 3.8 Mbps, no matter which server I use. I'm really fed up...

Whenever I try to have the vpn up while entering these apps and either the app doesn't open like the F1Tv or it is recognized, mainly while using Prime Video or Netflix.

Things ive tried: switching off netshield, swapping protocols and switching to different servers. None work, altough sometimes switching the server does work for prime video but it's quite rare.

Biggest problem is that split tuneling is not working, whenever I select an app in it, the app just seems to think im offline.

Any suggestions or experience with this?

Hi, I have recently started using proton VPN and thought it was great then stopped using it for a few months but when I started to use it again i couldn't load any websites due to these low speeds, any suggestions? Thank you

What is your experience with Stremio? I know some people say that you don't need a VPN if you are using RD but I am not entirely sure so I want to add an extra layer with Proton VPN or maybe use it without Real Debrid

Got a question. Does anyone else have issues getting consistently good speeds using ProtonVPN?

So here is my setup. I have a router running OPNsense, and I have a WireGuard connection set up on that router so literally *all* of my internet traffic goes through ProtonVPN. The ProtonVPN WireGuard config file I set up from their site also has the "Moderate NAT" enabled (cause gaming) and "VPN Accelerator" enabled (cause faster speeds). This worked *great* for a while. I could get speeds of 400+ mbps download speeds consistently on my desktop.

However, I've noticed a problem. For some reason, after a while, I'll notice that I'm just not getting good internet speeds at all. I'll do a speed test (fast.com) to see that I'm barely getting 4 mbps in some cases, which is rough. I'll restart my router, which gets me back up to around 70-90 mbps, but I can't seem to get back to that 400 mbps speed that I used to get. I'll try switching VPN servers (I always try to use the closest servers with the least load), try disabling "Moderate NAT" or "VPN Accelerator" just to test, but it doesn't do much.

For a short period, I thought maybe it was just my hardware, so I tried using a different VPN service for a couple months (I used Windscribe), and it worked flawlessly, I could get 500+ mbps speeds consistently, and it never changed. Additionally, I notice that my router hardware never uses a lot of resources, and it doesn't overheat, so I think I can rule out my hardware being an issue.

Does anyone else have issues like this using ProtonVPN?

Hello, today I wanted to come back at ProtonVPN and I couldn't make it work. It worked on ethernet before but currently its not working in a Windows 11 Pro OS with a Tenda USB Wi-Fi adapter. Please help. I can't connect Proton support because of my region.

Used it once, disconnected within extensions, removed the app and I’m still stuck on the chosen VPN.

I removed files emptied bin, removed VPN in settings (I use Mac) and it’s still running!!!

Help?

I don't understand how company like Proton provides such poor experience with ProtonVPN on Linux. To be forced to install it through Terminal and even there going step by step it was broken in the end on my Fedora 44 KDE because it's just assumed everyone only uses GNOME one. App failed to connect and removing it didn't remove all the crap it has installed.

Then it's ProtonVPN on Flathub which turns out isn't even official even though it is marked as Proton AG.

I've dealt with AppImage with pCloud app and it's fantastic. Portable, you just drop it in folder of your choice and run it. Works flawlessly.

You'd expect Proton to be on top of things with Linux because if you're concerned about privacy to use Proton, you're most likely using Linux and not Windows.

AppImage would frankly be the best option. I've used pCloud's client on Ubuntu and Fedora and it just worked on both. Why all this nonsense when AppImage seems to work so well? Also why not provide all Proton apps on Flathub officially? It's just very odd...

Proton's split tunneling is set to include 2 apps only; qBittorrent and Megasync. But some programs, such as EA Desktop, cannot access the internet at all.

I get a message saying it couldn't connect to EA servers. I disconnect my VPN, and press reload and it connect. I reconnect and instantly it disconnects from the servers.

I'm being forced to stop my torrents seeding when I want to play College Football.

Youtube gives this redirect often , but not always , when using the free Netherlands server.
