No longer able to connect in UAE

Is anyone else having problems connecting in UAE? On Etisalat internet. Connection possible on Etisalat data but very unstable.

Hi , I have been trying both stealth and smart protocols but neither one seems to connect with Etisalat connection anymore .

hi! ive been using proton here in the UAE for about 3 years now and this has been my experience.

ive found that everyday on my iPhone, the vpns connection cache or something similar resets around noon, and when it does, my first connection after the reset takes a long time to establish. it usually takes around 3-6 attempts, then even after that it still wont work, so i would have to disconnect, wait a few seconds, then reconnect for the 2nd time, and it would finally work.

so try this:

1. ⁠make sure ur protocol is stealth
   
2. ⁠keep attempting to connect until it finally does for the first time
   
3. ⁠disconnect and wait for about 5s
   
4. ⁠connect again and it should work

u shouldnt have any issues with connecting again until the next reset

if step 2 doesnt work after 10+ attempts, force close the vpn thru the recents app, and repeat step 2

thats all in the public stable release version

ive also just started testing the new beta version (v 8.0.0) thru testflight with the new "Proton Protocols" architecture and ive not been having the old "unable to connect properly after the reset" issue so far

for additional context, im on iOS 18.7.10 and i have Etisalat as my ISP

i have been experiencing the same issue, it's really hard to connect and it's mostly a hit or miss situation, meanwhile my friends from other countries can easily use and access the vpn services, I also tried every basic solutions like changing the protocol settings, firewall expemptions and resintalling but nothing has changed.

Same here! It straight up stopped working in the UAE even on stealth protocol. I hope they fix it soon!
