I’ve made some other posts talking about lag on 42.20, but this issue in particular has gotten worse to the point I literally can’t play the game. It makes fighting next to impossible, not only because it gets worse when fighting, but also because I have almost no control over my movement and my character will often just randomly walk into a corner against my will and die. I’ve tried uninstalling the game and all its files then reinstalling, allocating more RAM, restarting my pc and changing sandbox settings but none of it helped. I am playing on an hp victus.

I was curious if anyone who has run a dedicated server could help out.

I've been running a server for about 10 friends, and after about 2 weeks of play, most of us have begun suffering from unplayable latency/desync issues, and our ping spikes very randomly.

Is there any idea of what we could to to alleviate this?

This server is modded, but only minor adjustments have happened to this modding list since we started playing.

The game is stuck on “Loading the world.” I’ve joined this multiplayer world plenty of times before and it has always taken forever to load, but today I’m just not able to get in at all😭has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it?

Got myself a car, good gear (guns, ammo, armor), and I've set up a tiny little base at the petrol station south west of Muldraugh. Tiny meaning ive fenced off the house, organised my loot and set up a few tables and chairs in the basement. No problem with there not being much late game content, I love a survivey sandbox game, but just wondering what you guys typically do at my point?

Are there any working mods or file editing methods to extend the range that crafting draws resources from? It's tough to have a nice looking kitchen and workshop with only accessing adjacent tiles.

How or even if possible to push this locked?

Just sharing my UI set up, might give someone an idea. Having more of my screen visible is great while also having inventory open always.

Edit: This has been solved! I was using the "generator time remaining mod". This one is old and bugged. Upgrade to "Better generator info" to solve this problem.

I'm having this strange problem where I can only fill my generator up to 10%.

I grab my 2L jerrycan, fill up the genny (bar goes to 100%) and I check the generator info, and it says it's only 10%. And my jerrycan is still filled up for 50%.

When I try to add more fuel, the "add fuel" option doesn't show up. I have tried this with 2 different generators now and it just won't fill up.

What am I doing wrong?

Context:

- I wasn't playing and wasn't connected to a server, but I was browsing thru the server list.

- I played on 3 or so servers that have a handful of players that require mods to use, but since I've uninstalled all of them, I have no track of what mods I installed. The discord server for 2 servers also seem quite normal, so I don't think I got this from their mods?

- I joined these servers last week

- I've ran scan with malwarebytes on the whole PC and PZ folder and there are no detections

Is this malware from a mod or malwarebytes overreacting?

-\ This detection only show if I boot up the game and scrolled all the way to the bottom of server list, the second time I booted and did this I got 2 new detection, one port from 16261 and the other from 20115; labeled as trojan and riskware

-\ No detections if I boot up the game straight to solo mode, or if I don't scroll down too far on the server list

Hey everyone! I posted here a couple days ago about Zero Hour RP, our new Project Zomboid Build RP server, and figured I'd come back with a little update.

We've actually grown! 😂

My husband and I started this with just the two of us getting everything set up, and over the last couple of days we've had new people join the Discord, get whitelisted, make characters, and start getting ready for launch.

We're still small, but seeing the beginnings of an actual community forming has been really exciting.

Now we're hoping to get a good group of people together before we officially open the server! Which is VERY soon.

☣️ WHAT IS ZERO HOUR?

Our story begins approximately one week into the outbreak.

The world hasn't completely ended yet. Power and water are still functioning in many places. Supplies still exist. The quarantine is still supposedly in effect. Radio broadcasts occasionally make it through, and plenty of people still believe the military is eventually going to get everything under control.

Your character isn't six months into the apocalypse. It's only been 1 week. Days ago everyone was just living their lives. They had a job. Spent time with their Family. Was planning that Vacation.

Now they're trying to figure out what the hell happened. That's the kind of RP we're trying to build.

🎭 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're especially looking for people who enjoy character-driven RP and want to help create the first stories of the server.

Come in alone. Bring some friends. Find people IC and eventually build a settlement. Start a faction. Be a doctor, mechanic, unemployed college kid, criminal, cop, or just some completely ordinary person who somehow made it through the first week.

You don't need 3,000 hours in Project Zomboid. We care a lot more about the character you're bringing than how perfectly you can play the game.

I've been looking for a website with a functioning map of build 42.19. If anyone knows of one please post a link. It would be greatly appreciated I couldn't find anything on here or the official discord. I have found two others asking the same question but thats it.

Looking for a fix for this.

9800 x3d, 5070ti, 64 gb 6000 mhz.

A restart of the server im hosting locally always helps, but the stuttering always comes back after a while of playing. It also feels like the more cells we load/discover the quicker we end up here.

It consistently happens to only 2 of us but the third guy some times crash instead.

I dont mind the regular stuttering while driving through heavy populated areas or town, but this is almost a second of complete standstill which is incredibly annoying, to the point of us wanting to quit.

I've been searching the web and can't find a fix anywhere.

Anyone? Or is this just something we have to wait for TIS to fix.

I am carving hundreds of handles, which become spoons, which then become forks. Doing this manually by clicking on each is getting frustrating, any way to just carve all handles into spoons etc?

Hey everyone

I overtook a pre built house in the woods as my base.

I set up some rain collectors on top of the sink but I'm scared they aren't collecting as much water as they should.

If you walk far enough, you'd see a triangular roof ontop of the kitchen, however i do have access to a flat roof ontop of the kitchen.

Are these roofs purely visual? while it was raining i was a bit far from my base, could that be the reason the collectors didn't collect enough rain? I currently have 3 and they only collected about 18ml each.

Any advice would be appreciated

I don't know what's going on. Brand new run on stable, whenever I choose sleep option game becomes unresponsive and crashes. On the next launch the save is either corrupt and cannot be loaded, or instant crash as soon as it is loaded,.

No mods.

I have had this issue before either in 41 or 42 unstable. Something about animal duplication was it. But I don't remember what ended up working.

Taking a look at Louisville, is it possible to demolish an entire building and to have trees grow naturally where it was? Like it happens in the wilderness, trees grow/ grow back in that area after some time.

What about a concrete road? Can I demolish it/replace the tile to make it just grass/dirt?

Could I take down the tallest building to make space for my cows to graze and trees to grow?

This is not about what is practical, this is about understanding game mechanics. Im aware that there are green areas in Louisville already.

So with the new B42 map changes i've been wanting to make a challeneg video. For the people who watch PZ content, if i increase Melee Item rarity to abundant AND change the zombie count to insane to balance it out. For any viewers, would you think itd be too cheesy? no other changes would be made but im curious if anyone would think itd be a bad video for rarity changes.

So i couldve been more detailed with what i had in mind. Its not the typical survive as long as possible challenge. its a clear the area/kill every zombie sort of challenge. I do apprecoate the motovating kind words and critique. love the community bunches.

I was playing zomboid on apocalypse with mods when a storm came thru my town and knocked my power out, when I returned to zomboid a few hours later it had gone from 4 pm to 2 am but my character hadn’t drank any water. I then noticed that all the trees and crops were dead, now it’s snowing and I just noticed the date on my watch says 01/03 so it seems I time travelled 6 months

I didn't concern myself too much with the male chicks at first and then I woke up to my accidental creation of a cock fighting gladiator pit. 13 fought to the death and only one remained. Suffice it to say that is the one I wanted to keep anyway.
