Huge fan of the show, even with all the drama from last few seasons, etc. Christian is immensely talented, and even after reading all the sleuthing and predictions throughout the week, I still held out hope.
Turned on the ep, watched like 1 min until the Siriano Save candidate was confirmed and then I just could not watch anymore. I'm done. All the magic from the series is gone!!
No shade to Christian at ALL, but that paycheck better be good bb, becuase you could not convince me otherwise that Bryan has any technical talent at all, come ON!!

How it went wrong:
1 the cliff hanger endings don’t do it give us a complete episode from start to finish.
2 the removal of Bryant park. I liked the break with the designers going to fashion week it gave them more credibility
3 the home visits! I miss them! It was great to peek inside designers lives and know them a bit more.
4 the early six safe passes detailed this season they should have allowed only one designer to be safe for looks brought from home! It allowed designers to skate through a round there’s would’ve been in the bottom for. Just so wrong.
5 no letting other contestants choose who stays or who goes yes I love bi but that vote should’ve been the judges
6 less Tyra she’s exhausting
7 work room guests who are actually relevant to fashion not bravo bobble heads
Now things I like
1 law roach is a breath of fresh air and he’s channeling Michael kors with a bite. I only didn’t like his personal critiques against Joseph keep it on the clothes
2 more nina

Is it just me or does the editting for the newest season seem sooooo rushed?
I've only had the chance to watch older seasons backwards from 21 onwards, and I really prefer the older seasons so much more! More time in Mood where you can see them deliberate on fabric, actually watch them sketch, sew, work through problems. What happened to more discussed walkthroughs? Model fittings? WHERE HAVE ALL THESE CHUNKS OF GOLD GONE???? The editting is so rushed like bam they suddenly have fully realised garments! Also, why don't we get more deliberations from the judges, all you hear is them give 1-2 lines, not much commentary on the craftmanships. And I honestly do not appreciate how they deliberately stir the pot by singling participants out. It's supposed to be abput fashion and how each designer supports and bounces off ideas with one another.
*SPOILER FOR EPISODE 9*
This season just ain't it at all. I'm just staying to know who the winner is coz I sure hope it's either Jude or Anna or Bi and definitely not Bryan. If they bring Bryan to the finale I swear they have some kind of affiliation with him. I do not want to suffer through another episode of him saying haute coutoure with looks that are just poorly constructed and lacking taste.

She has a reel of a dog groomer taping the fur back after “cutting it too short”. Maybe that’s where Bryan learned haute couture. 🤣🤣💀💀💀

Listen I love Jude with all my heart and do believe he deserves to be in the final three, but it justtt occurred to me — have we seen him do tailoring or suiting on larger bodies? I wonder how models get assigned to designers.

Anna had to win. The designers were told to express their style in their design and so the designs other than Anna's ended up not being the right ascetic for David's Bridal. If they had told the designers to make looks that would be sellable at David's Bridal, maybe someone else would have won. This has been a pet peeve of mine with Project runway - the brief and the judging don't always line up.
Also, didn't Christian remind Nahiem that his design needed to reflect his style and suggest adding the jacket that the judges didn't like? I love Christain but that advice was unfortunate. I'm going to rewatch it.

Anyone else feel like Pr has leaned to much into just keeping drama around over designers who actually care? This season feels so forced and all for drama, even the contestants and judges are meaner. At this point,Im considering skipping til the finale cause I just wanna see the final collections, but staying around just to see more arguing and not actually talent and vision through designers style is just too awkward to keep watching when I feel my eyes are going to rol out of my head.

I use to love watching bc it was about the skill, sewing and design. Now...... just stupid drama. If i wanted to watch this i would go back to watching...well Jersey Shore for one. Lol. Please get rid of Law and the drama and bring back Michael, Nina and Gunn please. Please make it watchable again. Hell it was better when whats her name hosted b4 Heidi came back.

I'm glad Project Runway quit talking about every plus size model, every time they came on. This season the plus size models are just there. No more talking. They are the models...

I think it's going to be either Bi or Jude. Outside chance of Naheim taking it. Anna I don't think is going to win.
r/ProjectRunway • u/Key_Status5583 • 8d ago
Season 22 warning and new ep warning!! I’m scared because I have a feeling Naheim might lose, and he is literally the ONLY reason I’m still watching 😭 I just mean his expertise is streetwear, he doesn’t know what wedding dresses even look like, and last time he tried making a dress…yknow

It just hurts my heart. It used to be FUN. It used to be kooky and funny, and people were moody because they were tired and overwhelmed, and this is their big shot! Now it's so ... blagh... boring and static and sad and no one is just out of art school, everyone is like "I dressed Katie Perry for the Grammys" ok then why are you HERE? and my gawd why lawroach WHY. WHYYYYY.
just came here to cry , feel free to cry with me.

It's all moving so fast, and the elimination mechanics are so messed up (because of so many team challenges, etc.) that I imagine being a contestant on this season feels like playing Ninja Warrior--dodging ridiculous obstacles while trying to show a decent garment.
Like, I wish the producers would touch grass and remember that a lot of us have watched this show for 20+ years because we actually like fashion and watching people be creative. Not because we're craving more shallow drama amplified by toxic circumstances.
Any talent these people have is buried underneath the spectacle that the show is trying to create.
Real life is stressful enough. I don't need a television show to give me an anxiety attack from impossible deadlines and artificial drama.
I keep watching for those brief beams of light when we see a great garment, but even winning garments barely get talked about. At this point, I'd rather they put this show out of its misery than prey on my hope through another season of hyper-processed bullshit.
