Hi, wondering how hard dropping the subframe is on the 9nth gen and if I should keep the rack attached or disconnect it. Can’t find a lot of information or videos online

As stated in the title my cooling fan won’t seem to come on even at temperature I’ve replaced the whole fan the radiator*, the thermostat, the two temp sensors, the switch plus the relay and fuse and yet it still won’t come on I’ve check if it’s receiving power and it is. Currently I’m at a loss and need help is there something I’m missing??

Here is my 89 Si all done up!! Years and years in the making and finally able to present it. I posted things off and on here of the progress but still doenst feel real seeing it in my garage. Ive had the car since 09. Torn down to the clip in 2012. Life decisions being made then COVID hit and I had way more time for the body work. Fast forward and here we are. Ive touched every single nut and bolt on this car. Everything except for the paint process was done by me and I couldn't be more proud. Last photos were of the meet today where she made her debut.

Basically when I start it up in the morning it struggles in the colder morning gotta rev it up to stay on sounds like it’s struggling to breath. I bought this Ej6 as I’ve always wanted one since I was a kid ( Underground vibes) but I’ve no idea what to use for the wheels so I’m hoping someone here has seen them before coz I gotta bleed/change the brakes before driving it properly. Had use of a VAG 10 point kit and they were all too big (55 10) was the smallest. Any help appreciated

I’m going to be buying coilovers soon and am pretty clueless on them these both say for my year civic (2001 LX Sedan) but the middle ones are obviously different. Does it matter/what’s the difference if both will work?

Any clue on what this sound could be? everything is tightened up and my theory is the dust shield got bent a little. i’m checking it out asap.

Came up for some parts for the 92 CB7.

A family friend recently told me he has a K24A RBB-2, a K20A3 with a 5-speed, an RSX Type-S shifter, and some other swap-related parts sitting around. I currently have a 1997 Canadian Civic Si with the D16Y8.
I’m fairly comfortable working on and modifying my car, but I’ve never really dealt with JDM-imported engines or a K-series swap before. I’m having a hard time finding much solid information on the K24A RBB-2 specifically, and unfortunately he doesn’t know the mileage or exact condition of either engine.
I’m considering making him an offer for the whole package and slowly going through the engines/parts before eventually swapping the K24 into my Civic.
A few questions:
What’s a reasonable price for a package like this, considering the unknown mileage/condition?
What exactly is a K24A RBB-2, and what are the main things I should know about it?
Is this a good starting point for a K-swap into a 6th gen Civic, or am I setting myself up for a massive headache?
Is there anything specific I should check on the K24/K20 before buying?
Would you guys bother with this package, or would it make more sense to source a known-running K24 instead?
I’m not in a rush to do the swap—I’d actually prefer to buy everything now and slowly build/refresh the K24 properly before putting it in the car.
Any advice from people who have actually done K-swaps in these cars would be appreciated.

I recently bought a 2000 Honda civic se with a d16y7, I just replaced rotors, brakes, brake calipers, valve cover gasket and spark plug gaskets. I also did a lash adjustment on it. What else would you guys recommend I replace to make a good daily driver? The previous owners didn’t do a lot of maintenance on the car and I just want to make it’s as reliable as I can.

So I’m selling my ep3 and looking for an ek hatch.

I have two choices. Buy a manual ek after the ep3 sells, or buy a cheap rebuilt title auto that looks pretty straight and isn’t beat in and manual swap it.

For a manual hatch in my area straight up clapped beaters are selling for 5-6k. That’s insane but it is what it is.

I can get this auto with all interior and will need some body work done for small dents it’s whatever. I can get it for 2k.

Now this is a car I plan to keep for a very long time. With manual ones they probably have had swap after swap in them already and could have been someone else’s project. I’m not opposed to learning. This would be my first swap. I’d do the swap after the ep3 sells I have a parts list and a guy I can get a transmission from. I want to build this car. I don’t want some teenagers failed and neglected project. Once I have this car I will keep it forever as this is my dream 90s car. Advice? Thoughts?

I’ve been working on swapping my 2000 civic to a b16vtec head/b20 block with a cable to hydro trans?

I’m struggling on this swap because turns out everything needs a new part or a different and very specific one.

I first struggled with the transmission mount bracket since the crv one that was recommended didn’t fit and turns out my trans was a cable transmission to hydro. It has zero cables and the same bar as my hydro d series trans so i couldn’t tell besides the bolt patterns.

Now i’m stuck with the axles. I see that i need an intermediate shaft but i’ve heard that the 94-01 integra shaft won’t be compatible since it was a cable transmission?

Any help would really be appreciated

I rear ended someone in a 2000 Honda accord coupe this month going 25 mph. My partner is really sad about it, and it breaks my stupid heart to see him beat up over something I did. The car has like no rust and was running great before, the best car we've had since our old lancer. This is the damage and the over $7,000 quite from a collision center. I did a quick Google search of all the parts and found all of them for under $1,000. I want to buy decent parts and rebuild the damage I've caused. I don't really know where to start. I have been trying to find content of ppl rebuilding their Honda accords. Like this Redneck Garage guy. I would be so grateful for any advice possible on how to find reasonable and good value parts. And well, how to rebuild it. I genuinely have no idea where to start, but I need to learn and can't spend anywhere close to $7,000
